It’s a Monday in the Realm, and I am back here in my office at 0500 to deliver you the content you didn’t know you craved.
Here are the headline that caught my eye this morning:
- FEMA plans to test national alert system on Oct. 4
- WGA & AMPTP Reach Tentative Agreement To End Writers Strike
- Senator Bob Menendez Faces Growing Pressure From Democrats to Resign
- A New Border Crossing: Americans Turn to Mexico for Abortions
- After Florida restricts Black history, churches step up to teach it
- Scientists found the most intense heat wave ever recorded — in Antarctica
And now the commentary, based solely on the headlines.
What good is a FEMA national alert system if a third of the fucknozzles out there won’t bother paying attention to it?
The writer’s strike is over? At what cost to the rest of us? Remember all those ‘favorite’ shows you’ve been watching and following? Prepare yourself for the shock of never seeing them again. That’s what happened when the last writer’s strike happened. Also, expect to see a HUGE jump in pricing on your favorite streaming platforms.
I can’t help but (continually) point out the difference between Trumpublicans and Democrats. If a Trumpublican congresscritter gets indicted, the party rallies around that person and will refused to demand that person’s resignation. If a Democratic congresscritter gets indicted, the entire Democratic party is demanding that person’s resignation and cancelling.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that if you take away abortions from women, they will find a way to make it happen anyways. Prior to Roe, women of means
, regardless of their position on abortion in general often went across the border to either Canada or Mexico to get an abortion. This will be the reason why Republicans will find themselves in the political desert in 2024. It won’t be ‘voter fraud’, it will be a landslide of people who have been negatively effected by Republican policy. Mark my words.
Speaking of Trumpublican policies, book banning, restricting the speech and thoughts of others is about as fascist as you can get. In case you were confused.
Oh yeah, that ‘climate change hoax’ is knocking on your doors…
Here’s what I am streaming these days:
The series is inspired by Brian Stelter’s 2013 book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV. The show examines the characters and culture behind a network broadcast morning news program. After allegations of sexual misconduct, the male co-anchor of the program is forced off the show. Aspects of the #MeToo movement are examined from multiple perspectives, as more information comes out regarding said misconduct.
Never Grow Up
And to close:
