Good morning from my Hunker-Bunker overlooking the Puget Sound from West Seattle, Washington. It is mid-morning on a Thursday, and I’ve just completed my breakfast consisting of two stuffed biscuits with gravy and two eggs poached to perfection. Now I am enjoying my sixth cup of decaf coffee while providing yet another full page of bullshit that none of you will comment on.

I am completely amazed that this site is still up and running. It’s clear that Misha has all but abandoned this project — it’s been a full 19 months since he’s graced these pages. It’s also pretty clear that Hosting Matters has all but forgotten this server exists, because its software hasn’t been updated since 2015. Heck, the server is probably a Pentium III.

Many of the former features here no longer work, and I’ve been disabling them as they fail. The comment system will no longer work with the current software, so we are now working with the stock comments. — Not that any of you are leaving comments any more…

I’ve gone through the news this morning so that you wouldn’t have to.

Stupid is, as Stupid does…

LAPD raid goes from bad to farce after gun allegedly sucked onto MRI machine

At one point, an officer walked into an MRI room, past a sign warning that metal was prohibited inside, with his rifle “dangling… in his right hand, with an unsecured strap,” the lawsuit said. The MRI machine’s magnetic force then allegedly sucked his rifle across the room, pinning it against the machine. MRI machines are tube-shaped scanners that use incredibly strong magnetic fields to create images of the brain, bones, joints and other internal organs.

An officer then allegedly pulled a sealed emergency release button that shut the MRI machine down, deactivating it, evaporating thousands of liters of helium gas and damaging the machine in the process. The officer then grabbed his rifle and left the room, leaving behind a magazine filled with bullets on the office floor, according to the lawsuit.

So, they have SUPER machine guns?

Trump Warns Hostile Migrants Have Machine Guns Beyond ‘Military Scope’

Donald Trump has made further allegations against migrants in Springfield, Ohio, and in Aurora, Colorado, where he said they have “massive machine gun-type equipment.”

“Kamala should have closed the border years ago and we wouldn’t have hostile takeovers of Springfield, Ohio, and Aurora, Colorado, where they’re actually going in with massive machine gun-type equipment that are beyond even military scope,” The Republican presidential candidate said, during his Wednesday speech in Mint Hill, North Carolina

How much standing or sway did Mike Pence have in Trump’s White House? When Joe Biden, Dick Cheney, Al Gore, or any of the previous Vice Presidents were in office, how much were they involved in the day-to-day operations/decisions coming out of the Oval office?

The answer is little to NONE. The sole duty of the Vice President is to be the President of the Senate. He or she can cast the deciding vote in a tie, but other than that, they are just sitting in wait for something to happen to the sitting POTUS.

Biden and Harris may appear to be rowing the boat in the same direction, but make no mistake: the captain of the boat is Biden, not Harris. If she has differing ideas and opinions, she’s kept them to herself as long as she is the official understudy for the position of POTUS. She’s has been putting on this united front as long as she is in her subservient position — as she should. She’s never been ‘in charge’ of anything connected to migration and the border. She was tasked with investing the cause, effect, and scope of the various migration(s) going on simultaneously, but at no time was she ever put in charge of anything.

An Indictment should be an automatic dismissal from the position. Period. End.

Eric Adams indictment unsealed: New York mayor charged in campaign contribution scheme

INDICTED

A federal indictment charging New York City Mayor Eric Adams with a campaign contribution scheme, bribery and other crimes was unsealed Thursday morning, hours after FBI raided his Gracie Mansion residence and seized his phone.

The 57-page indictment in Manhattan federal court accuses Adams of five criminal counts related to contributions to the Democrat’s 2021 mayoral campaign, and other conduct going back as far as 2014, when he was Brooklyn borough president.

Much of the indictment centers on the Turkish community and Turkish businessmen who allegedly exerted influence on Adams.

I have been very consistent when I say that anyone indicted, and/or convicted of any felony crime should be removed from office immediately and barred from running until such time as either the conviction is expunged, and/or the charges are dropped or acquitted. A person running for public office should be above reproach, have a clean record both public and private, and should not be under the order of any court in any jurisdiction.

Eric Adams, a Democratic mayor of New York City, is proclaiming his innocence and claiming the evidence against him is false and made up of lies. He is blaming others for ‘coming after him’ and that he is going to demand a speedy trial and win his case so he can get back to work.

He may be innocent. He might beat the charges. But that isn’t the case at the moment, and for that reason alone he must step down. He MUST.

Beat the charges if he can. Then come back and run for mayor again. But right now? This indictment is the number one thing in his life at the moment, not his mayoral position.

Alice in Chains with James Hetfield – Would Live 2006

The Subject of Assholes

I’m guessing that Clay Higgins said or did something stupid – again. Honestly, I don’t really want to know.

Every now and again, you should self-test…

It’s a trait that I wasn’t born with, apparently.

Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks

All the other kids with the pumped-up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped-up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet

This coming from the governor of a state that runs last in just about every metric.

There. That should do it.

Wait until they are entered into evidence in court!

This weekend ain’t looking good… Next week either

By I'm THAT Guy

"Well, ya gotta have someone to yell at"

One thought on “Positivity in a Negative World”
  1. I’ll leave you a comment, my guy.

I’ve been coming to this site since I was in high school, about 20 years ago. As many young kids do, I started out pretty liberal in my beliefs when I first became politically aware. 9/11 was a game-changer though. As I learned more in high school and then college, studying politics and history, I began to see clearly that liberal democracy has been at war with authoritarianism on a global scale for the past 100 years. Islamofascism was just the next ideology after the Communists and Nazis that came before, and the Republican Party were the ones who seemed willing to most forcefully wage that necessary war for freedom. I became a dutiful party member, secretary for the College Republicans, worked on Rick Santorum’s Senate campaign, voting Republican in every election.

Until Trump. The problem with electing a businessman is you just might get someone who sees the world as purely transactional. There is no concern for the ideological war between democracy and dictatorship, no consideration of ethics or morality or the ideals a nation was founded on, only “how can I profit?” And Trump sold out to Putin when he decided he can profit off of him while he cannot off of Ukraine (who failed to find him sufficient evidence of Biden corruption.) Watching the entire party follow suit, revealing themselves to be a bunch of unprincipled cowards (other than a select few like Elizabeth Cheney), has been incredibly sad to see. The Republican Party of a strong America has instead become one that represents an America willing to bend over and grab its ankles and let Putin have his way with us if he will please just leave us alone.

In some of the last posts he made it was sad to see Misha, a person I once admired for his belief in American ideals of liberty, seem to be headed down this same sad road of placating a dictator if it means “peace in our time.” After all the dictator is just consolidating the lands that are rightfully of his people, the Russian Sudetenland if you will, and will just stop there if we give him what he wants. And what China and Iran want too as they watch and learn. I am glad Misha has not come back. I like to hope maybe he got tired of defending a party that has become a cult of personality surrounding a convicted sexual predator tax fraud who tried to coup the US government.
