Good afternoon from my Hunker-Bunker. I just got home from my office perched betwixt the two Stadiums in Seattle, and I thought I would belch out a quickie for y’all, in case you wanted to actually say somethin’
Israel finally had enough of the little pipsqueak in the neighborhood and sent them a flaming surprise today.
I just wonder what took them so long.
I pretty much expected this retaliation to come several months ago, when the Houthis first started their direct attacks on Israel. Sure, they failed almost every time, but it was only going to be a matter of time before something did get through, and Israel would be forced to act.
I don’t see this as an offensive action like what Israel has been doing in Gaza for the past several months. Today’s strike was a defensive one — just enough to stop the attacks, not a full -scale attack on any and everything that moves.
This is the difference between what is acceptable and what isn’t. Attacking the Yemen port was a pre-emptive strike designed to get someone’s undivided attention. Killing innocent civilians in Gaza because they are in the way of attacking Hamas is NOT.
But then, that’s just MY opinion. Your mileage may differ, and that’s alright.
