Good morning from my office perched betwixt two stadiums in Seattle. It is 0514 on a Labor Day morning, and since I am not a union thug, (or any kind of thug) I celebrate my labor — by laboring. Even when I really don’t have to.

I’m told that there are hotels in several cities — Seattle included — that are on strike for better pay and benefits. Not being a union hotel, I am here in full regalia being the “guy in charge of the joint” today. All of the rest of management is enjoying barbeques and whatnot.

I wasn’t going to post anything here today, and then I saw the massive strike that has been going on in Israel while we all slept. “Tens of Thousands”, and it sure looks like it. The largest labor union in Israel has called a strike demanding that Benjamin Netanyahu immediately come to an agreement with Hamas for a cease fire and a return of the remaining hostages. This, following the news yesterday that the IDF have uncovered six bodies of hostages in a tunnel 65 feet deep.

I’ve been warning some of you privately for months that this was going to end up this way — but you didn’t believe it. You STILL can’t understand that the reason why this whole thing started in the first place was because of the shift of the government to the far-Right that has been advocating the removal of Palestinians from the region as their “settlers” continue to rouse and literally murder innocent Palestinians for their land.

Today was the largest uprising of Israeli citizens against the government in its history.
