Good Evening from my Hunker Bunker overlooking the Puget Sound from the banks of West Seattle. It is 2130 hrs and I have just woken up from an unplanned nap that I apparently took while attempting to watch me some Netflix around 1700. Since it’s been a few days since my last confession here, and because of my schedule this week, it may be a few more days before I find the time to post another one, I figured that this was as good a time as any.

I’m going to be a bit lazy here this evening and post some mostly non-political memes from my catalog of memes I’ve collected over the years. Maybe you will enjoy them — maybe not. I’m not in charge of what you think you like or dislike. You either do, or you don’t. Either way, I don’t really care.

The side of my house I never share

Pretty much how it went down…

Property Appropriation

Everyone’s doing it these days — appropriating the intellectual property of others without permission for their own gains. Dave Grohl is talking about suing the Trump campaign for $180k for blatantly stealing his intellectual property without his permission. A couple of other artists / bands have already started filing suit. And they will win — and lose. They will win by getting a fairly large judgment against Trump, and they will lose because they will never collect it off the professional deadbeat.

This is how I cope with life now…

You’ve all heard the saying, “Life’s too short”? Well, as a guy working on his eighth decade on this planet, and expecting to be departing from it soon, there isn’t enough time left to spend wasting my time lamenting what is, and wishing things were different.

I’m going out laughing my ass off.

How I picture every Motel 6 these days…

Speaking of Political Parties

“Party purity?”

Then there is the Gong

“…and that, your honor, is why I’m before you today”

How to blend in

The new way to retire these days:

spending almost $30k a MONTH. My dad went to an assisted care home for 21 months for about $10k and my mother spent the remaining six years in her house with round-the-clock care for about $22k a month — and that didn’t count the numerous times she went by ambulance to the hospital for whatever reason she imagined. Then there is cost for the basic upkeep of yourself and your environment.

Depending on the cruise and destination, the annual cost of a cruise with all the amenities could be between $26k and $80k. That’s doable just on Social Security.

Or you could rob a bank and go to prison and live fairly comfortable.

But it IS amazing how many people of my generation did not plan for retirement. Or lost their retirement funds and are forced to work until they literally drop.

I’m sorry, but did you require more?

Okay, that’s it. I may have time tomorrow — my schedule is by the moment.
