Good morning. It is a Thursday morning here in my Hunker-Bunker overlooking the Puget Sound in West Seattle. We are looking at cloudy with showers and a high of 68°F.
I tested positive for COVID on Monday afternoon. I could feel it coming on earlier in the day, so I used one of the numerous tests that the government sent me over the past couple of years. Sure enough, I was positive. Or pregnant, I didn’t look closely at the test…
At any rate, up until about 0800 yesterday, I just felt kinda bleh. I picked up Paxlovid Tuesday morning, so I think that’s what was keeping me from feeling really sick. But around 0800 yesterday, it HIT me HARD, and I’ve been pretty much asleep for the past 22 hours. This morning, the fever’s gone but I still have this feeling of ‘blech’, for lack of a better word.
I will probably continue to stay home at least through Friday.
Let this be a lesson to me: Don’t go to concerts or movie theaters.
“That’s my Dad”
“That’s My Dad!”
The ugly-crying of Gus Walz has gone viral. You can FEEL the love there, which is something that you don’t see too often these days.
Sadly, the first thing that came to my mind was the video of Kyle Rittenhouse fake blubbering, and I know that it will only be a matter of hours before the comparisons will be everywhere. The thing is, there is a HUGE difference between the two ‘moments’. The ugly-crying of Gus is genuine, whereas the ugly-blubber of Kyle Rittenhouse is obviously fake, and designed to solicit sympathy from a jury.
Another Old Fart Past His Prime Speechifies
A slower, wizened Clinton sinks his fangs into Trump
“Let’s cut to the chase: The stakes are too high and I’m too old to gild the lily,” Clinton said in his twelfth convention address, which he peppered with references to his advancing age. “I actually turned 78 two days ago. And I’m still not quite as old as Donald Trump.”
– “The next time you hear him, don’t count the lies. Count the ‘I’s’”
– “Creates Chaos, And Then Curates It As If It Were Precious Art”
For the record, I have some of the same dislikes for Clinton as I do for Trump. The number one being their close ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton could be the second coming of Christ, and he’d still be lower than whale shit because of this.
But as far as being an ‘Elder Statesman’ with standing within the Democratic Party, I can’t help but emphasis the word “Elder” in this case. Bill Clinton sounds like a shadow of the speaker he once was. But it is obvious that he is getting older — and kind of the point when it comes to talking about Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s ability to do the job at that age.
How I Imagine it:
The Fake Campaign of RFK Jr is shutting down.
Robert F Kennedy Jr’s campaign bankrolled by Republican mega-donor
So RFK’s presidential campaign was nothing more than an effort to siphon votes away from Joe Biden?
Tell me something we didn’t already know. I mean, this whole campaign thing just looked fake from the beginning. There was no way in hell his campaign was in any way, serious. I mean, who campaigns on the idea they had “brain worms”?
This might have been a great way to help Donald Trump win against Joe Biden if the race were particularly close, but since Joe Biden is gone and Kamala Harris is up against The Don, the election dynamics have changed, and this subterfuge is now a wasted effort.
Changing the Frame
How Kamala Harris shifted Democrats’ message from ‘democracy’ to ‘freedom’
What used to be a bedrock of the Republican Party, has now become the direction of the Democrats.
Since Trump took over the party in 2016, “freedom” has all but disappeared from its ideology. With Project 2025 as their stated blueprint should Republicans win big in November, “freedom” and “less government” means less social services and more intrusion, and more restriction. IF it were possible to take Trump at his word, a lot of what he tweets out in the middle of the night would be dystopian at best.
The Israeli / Hamas Bullshit
Anger, Despair As Israelis Bury Hostages Who Died In Captivity
I would be very surprised if even a third of the hostages currently held by Hamas are still alive. While it is easy — and lazy — to blame Hamas entirely, Benjamin Netanyahu bears a LARGE share of the blame for what happens to the hostages following October 7, 2023.
The last ceasefire was ended by Israel, even though Hamas still wanted to return ALL of the hostages, dead and alive, in exchange for ALL of the Palestinian prisoners that Israel holds. This has been the basic demand of Hamas since the very beginning.
Israel, for their part, do not want to release ALL of their Palestinian prisoners. Nor do they want Hamas to exist in any way, shape or form. I also think that Netanyahu’s calculations are that the hostages are expendable if the greater goal of wiping out as much of the Palestinian population and infrastructure as it can is achieved. Maybe whatever population is left could flee to another country thereby achieving the ethnic cleansing that some have been trying to achieve since the 1970s.
Meanwhile, the Israeli population is in turmoil, Iran is making noise and we have troops heading that way.
When You Thought COVID was Over
Newsflash: It’s not. And for some of us older fucks with health issues, COVID is not just something to sneeze about. There are three, maybe four new variants running around out there, and the old vaccine(s) aren’t as effective any longer. There is a newer version coming out in a couple of weeks that will protect you against getting REALLY sick, but it still probably won’t prevent you from catching it eventually.
I did. Probably from going to the concert last Sunday. I’m vaccinated, but that was last year. The Paxlovid is the best shit to take AFTER you’ve caught this shit. Then I read this:
Wave of dementia fueled by Covid?
Let’s see, both Trump and Biden had covid, right? Hmmm.
The Aquarium
Which would obviously spawn something like this:
Mike Lindell is Deep Undercover at the 2024 DNC
This guy likes to smell his own farts.
Project 2025
This is the project that Donald Trump has publicly distanced himself from in some media but has been kept fully informed by the authors and participants in the project.
He might want to read it before endorsing it and maybe actually implementing it. It is truly distopian.
This is funny
