This is the new server, same as the old server. A slow-assed server in the corner of the basement at Hosting Matters.
The new server is up-to-date on its software, but because it is on an over-booked shared server, the performance seems to come and go. Sometimes the page loads fast, other times it just lags. Nothing we can do about it short of taking it to a better host. But it’s not my call. I just make do with what is in front of me…
Slowly, but surely, the site is coming back together. I’ve solved most of the code corruption, but still have a lot more to go. There will be some times over the next day or two when the site is unavailable. It’s because I am chasing down the gremlins and the slow-assed server is taking its time. Time that I don’t have at the moment.
But keep coming by. Leave a comment just to tell me that someone is still alive here.
UPDATE the SECOND: I’ve fixed all the corruption in the theme framework, thanks to Visual Studio and Github’s CoPilot. That saved me HOURS of manually scouring pages of code.
There is still some kind of propagation issue going on throughout the Intertubes when it comes to this domain though. It’s been down here in Seattle, but I can reach it from Italy if I use the Brave Browser’s built-in VPN.
Weird.

But things ARE faster. It seems to be speeding up.
Well, it’s been a minute or two. Perhaps we’ll find that they feed the hamsters better in the server room, and the electrons will flow faster.
For some reason, I have to VPN from Italy to reach this site this morning.
I think I may have accidentally sped this site up a bit. It’s feeling pretty frisky right now.
I was actually able to upload the repaired framework in less than 20 seconds, which was unheard of just a couple of weeks ago. It had been taking upwards of about ten minutes to upload just one simple photo.
I’ve also added some stuff to the sidebar and the site stats in the footer.
