Good morning from my office between the two stadiums in Seattle. It is a Saturday morning and I am here coding my ass off while it is still quiet and there isn’t anyone disturbing me. That will change around 0700 when the restaurant opens and people start stirring.

I get it: city property is not private property, and cops are funded by taxpayer dollars. But as individuals, we don’t pay the salaries of cops, so telling a cop that “I pay your wages,” isn’t quite correct. The amount of money you actually pay towards a cop’s salary could probably be measured in cents instead of dollars.
