It is a Sunday morning, and it is going to be a fairly fair day outside my office perched between the two stadiums in Seattle. Party cloudy, 64°F high and no rain. There is a Mariners/Cubs game across the street today, but I plan on being at home in my Hunker-Bunker by the time all that madness starts.
I got my F250 4×4 figured out yesterday. It had started to drain the battery if it sat overnight, which I consider rather irritating, so I spent a good ten minutes yesterday tracing out the problem. A test light and some fuse pulling, and I was quickly able to determine that it was the driver’s side door switch for the dome light. Pull the fuse, problem solved. I don’t need no stinkin’ dome light.
But I’m betting that you didn’t come here to hear me blather on about my 1994 Ford F250, did you?

This really didn’t have to happen.
I know that what I am about to say is considered sacrilege to most Right-leaning wingnuts, but it has to be said:
Israel deliberately bombed the sovereign embassy of Iran in Syria, killing a few high-ranking officials, and Israel didn’t expect retaliation from Iran? I mean, let’s be serious here for a few seconds.
There is absolutely NO way Israel didn’t bomb the Iranian embassy and not expect Iran to retaliate in some way, shape, or form. I posit that Bibi Netanyahu absolutely wanted to provoke Iran into responding.
It’s not like Iran is any match for Israel and by extension the UK and US with their military support. But Iran also has a face to save here, and while I suspect that Iran would rather be playing fuck-fuck in the background and not go directly up against Israel, Israel put them in the position where they really had no other choice but to lob a bunch of shit towards Israel, knowing that very little, if any of it would ever hit a target.
Benjamin Netanyahu is a politically desperate man. His position of power is being questioned by the citizens of Israel, a hundred thousand of them have routinely come out in protest over the past year demanding new elections to rid Israel of the current Right wing government. He is liable to try and do anything to cling to the power he has.
This doesn’t mean that the government of Iran shouldn’t be punished for their activities in all of this mess. They do need to feel the heat that they’ve been avoiding up until now. The pretext has been set for Israel to do what it’s wanted to do for quite a while now: go in and bomb the dogshit out of Iran’s nuclear program.
Am I going to lose any sleep over this if it happens? Not at all.
These twatwaffles need to just shut the fuck up, especially that closet fag, Lindsey Graham.
Item 7: Trump Tried Everything to Avoid a Criminal Trial. The Day Has Arrived.
Well, he hasn’t quite tried everything yet. He still has one ploy left to make: He can fire his lawyers, which will automatically halt the trial until he can replace his lawyers and bring them up to speed.
The court could appease him by giving him the chance to find new lawyers, but it could also force Trump to go with the lawyers he has, but that would preserve an issue for appeal.
