Good morning from my office between two stadiums in Seattle. It is about 0700 and I’ve been here about three hours now.
Eggs will be cheaper in about three days. In fact, there are a whole lotta things that are supposed to happen on “Day One”, and I am really excited about it. “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them…”
The wars in Israel and Ukraine will magically end. Climate change will just disappear, and all the enemies within will be vanquished and done away with. Illegal aliens will ‘self-deport’ themselves before they are physically removed from the country. People will live in harmony and prosperity.
And if you believe any of that, I have a Space Needle and the box it came in that I will sell to you for cheap.
The only thing I can promise is that it will be an interesting four years. Other than that, I’m not even going to venture a guess. I intend to keep my distance from most of it, and plan accordingly.
Oh, and I expect to do a lot of insane laughing.

Trumpublicans have been hammering Gavin Newsome about the fires in Los Angeles, and blaming it on his mismanagement of … well, just about everything.
One of the biggest “gotcha” moments was when it was reported that a reservoir was completely dry, and that THIS was THE reason why everything burned up.
This particular reservoir was drained to perform scheduled winter maintenance. They typically take reservoirs off line and drain them in the winter because that is the time when there is the least chance of a fire situation.
Also, the reports of fire hydrants being dry?
Most likely caused by burned out power plants. Water is pumped to the highest elevations, and gravity takes care of the rest. Edison Electric shut off power to prevent the possibility of the fire causing secondary fires..

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t give two shits as to whether TikTok remains or goes away.
But now that I am starting out on a Podcasting business, I am rapidly changing my mind.
My take on this is simple:
This has ZERO do do with whether China is able collect and retain data on American citizens and EVERYTHING to do with Donald Trump’s desire to box China in economically.
China doesn’t need Tik Tok or anything else to collect and retain data on American citizens. They can literally buy all the data they want on Americans from Lexis Nexis or any of the other data collection companies out there.
The NSA doesn’t have to tap your phones, they can get everything they want on us — it’s all for sale.
