UPC Barcodes do not show the leading zero. A UPC Barcode that starts with 7 would have a country code of 070 – 079.
000 – 019 U.S. and Canada
060 – 099 U.S. and Canada
Here is the current list of country codes for countries whose products perhaps you might want to avoid:
• 460 – 469 Russia
• 470 Kyrgyzstan
• 476 Azerbaijan
• 478 Uzbekistan
• 481 Belarus
• 487 Kazakhstan
• 488 Tajikistan
• 489 Hong Kong SAR
• 528 Lebanon
• 529 Cyprus
• 624 Libya
• 626 Iran
• 628 Saudi Arabia
• 629 United Arab Emirates
• 690 – 695 China , The People’s Republic
• 759 Venezuela
• 850 Cuba
• 860 Serbia
• 865 Mongolia
• 867 North Korea
• 868 – 869 Turkey
• 884 Cambodia
• 893 Vietnam
• 896 Pakistan
• 899 Indonesia
• 955 Malaysia
• 958 Macau
Thus ends our PSA covering countries not particularly friendly to the U.S.A. And just in case you noticed, Afghanistan has no code, it makes nothing and exports no finished product that one would buy.
Sadly, there does not appear to be any code specific to DC, but then their main product is BS and actions destructive to the nation (mostly lacking both barcode and Constitutional authority). Do try to remain solvent and avoid as much fallout as possible.
