Where?

I know that most of us here remember the brave, and often tragic, stories of people fleeing the Iron Curtain, like the four East Germans below. Scenes like this reminded those of us who fought the Cold War  exactly why we were in uniform.

At the end the woman yells “We’ve done it.” At the end of the war we had all done it. We beat communism and socialism.

Now our very own citizens who have either forgotten the evil that was vanquished or never had to live with its shadow looming over them, are gladly racing right back to it.

Question is, where will our children be able to swim to?
