Anybody who didn’t see this coming ages ago when the whole PC craze and “hostile work environment” (meaning potentially anything at all from incoming mortar fire to ‘oppressive odors’) needs to go right back to the very back of the class, put on their dunce caps and write 60,000 times “they TOLD me so, but I’m too fucking ignorant to ever listen. Santa Clara County, Calif., officials have banned a 20-year employee from making “less than positive” remarks about Obamacare, because they can cause stress for listening co-workers.

The county made the stunning move when Norina Mooney was chatting with a co-worker about the Affordable Care Act, according to the Pacific Justice Institute, which is representing the woman.
“Stunning?” How, exactly? Why wouldn’t they do this when generations of idiot Americans have been handing them the tools to do so, babbling “it could never happen here” over and over again if anybody as much as tried to point out what they were letting in through the back door.
Pacific Justice said Mooney was further informed that her comment had caused another co-worker — not the person to whom it was directed — to feel “stressed out.”
Her speech, therefore, was too political for the workplace, the county officials insisted.
“It was then communicated to Ms. Mooney that she should step outside if she wanted to say anything controversial or political, such as references to Obamacare that were less than positive,” the attorneys wrote.
And we’re willing to bet our last box of 9mm ammo that they would never ever have a problem with verbally fellating Der FUBAR Obama non-stop the entire working day. Wait, sucker bet. They already said that, didn’t they? Oh yes they did. Only thing banned was “comments that were less than positive.” So if she wanted to wax poetic the whole accursed day about the wonders of YouCanKeepYourCancer ObamaCare, county would have been A-OK with that. Because of course they would.
So we’re supposed to bend over and excuse this too because some poor shrinking violet got uncomfortable hearing blasphemy spoken about His Most Holy Highness, Glorious Ear Leader Obama’s ‘signature achievement’, which created a “hostile work environment”, huh? Is it possible that Ms. Mooney might have gotten uncomfortable in the past (or at the very least nauseated) listening to her sub-room temperature drone co”workers” masturbate to Obama’s every word? Why is this not the same? Shut up, racists.
Personally, His Imperial Majesty goes by the old rule in the workplace (and just about everywhere else) that you never ever want to discuss two things in public: Politics and religion. Unless you already know that you agree with everybody there. But if political speech is to be outlawed in the workplace, and it shouldn’t be in a free nation (which we’re not anymore, in case anybody is still wondering), then ALL political speech has to be outlawed. If an employer feels that productivity is being harmed by political discussions, then OK. His store, his rules. But his argument is pretty much worthless if he then goes on to only forbid the expression of SOME political opinions.
Did we just mention concerns about productivity in connection with a public office? Sorry. Won’t happen again. Obviously that can’t have been the reason here, since “civil servants” are neither civil nor serving anybody. If they were, they’d have real jobs.
