And long overdue too, for which we apologize. We are amiss in keeping up with our email at times. We try, though.

First, it is our sad duty to inform that our long term loyal Rottie friend’s father-in-law Syd passed a week before last. On our own behalf as well as on the behalf of the family, we would like to thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts. He passed peacefully surrounded by his daughter and other members of family as well as close friends. Our prayers go out to all touched by his journey home.

Second, our long time friend and LC, Draco, is not getting better. Of this you may already be aware from updates at Hookers and Booze (and if you’re not reading that site daily, why not?), but if you aren’t, I leave the word to our good friend of many years, LC Aggie Sith:

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Draco is not getting better, and can no longer breathe on his own. His wife has decided to extend his life until all of his unit friends can say their goodbyes, and then she may terminate. She has decided that he will not be an organ donor (even though it is in his medical records that he signed for everything to be donated). She will not have a military funeral. Also, all who show up in military uniform will be barred from the service. At least she is having him cremated per his request. It has been difficult to lose a man who was not only a warrior and friend, but also my brother. To have his wife deny him in death what was in effect his purpose in this life is akin to having a knife thrust in our hearts. I am not updating anything on FB for fear she might see it and decide to bar me from attending, as well. As a last bit of caution, be advised that her updates are not very realistic. They may be hopeful, but she is not considering the doc’s opinions, much less Hubby’s.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. They have meant the world to Hubby and me.

May G-d welcome our friend and brother into His Kingdom.

Thatisall.
