The not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case has me thinking a lot about a book I first encountered in seminary, Is God a White Racist?, by the Rev. Dr. Bill Jones. As a budding seminary student, it took me by surprise. Now, as a wiser, older professor looking at the needless death of Trayvon Martin, I have to say: I get it.
Get what? That you were completely on board with the racist screed of a fellow traveler but didn’t have the cojones to say it yourself ? You waited until a 17 year old kid is moldering in his grave and then decided that you just HAD to jump on board that R-Train before it left your fetid ass behind? Older and Wiser – not likely toots, more like aging, obese, terminally clue-fucked and bitter.
God ain’t good all of the time. In fact, sometimes, God is not for us.
Do tell? Judging from the CV of yours, he’s been pretty damn good to you personally…And I suppose that same God, you know the one that according to the Scripture pretty much created it all – including the races and tribes of which you and I are a member of – did what? Burnt a few cookies in the oven, and exclaimed “Damn it all! Too much Melatonin in that batch… I guess I’ll just throw these ones aside!”

Reproductive rights – AKA as abortion, let’s not be coy here…funny that, the amount of Abortions by black women are running 3-1 vs other ethnic groups, your sistas’ are in the running with Stalin when if comes to number of lives snuffed out on a whim, but let’s not let facts get in the way here. You have voting rights, same as I do, according to history – since 1964 actually, what is there to take care of? Do PhD’s get special votes? Seems there’s not a whole lot of stuff to take care of – election day comes,you go to the polls, you pull the lever for whatever dick headed lying weasel pandering puss bag is offering the latest and greatest deal – and you go home. When George Zimmerman told Sean Hannity that it was God’s will that he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, he was diving right into what most good conservative Christians in America think right now. Whatever makes them protected, safe, and secure, is worth it at the expense of the black and brown people they fear.
Stereotype much? Let me put this point blank – I don’t care about God, or any other deity for that matter when it comes to my personal protection. Black, Brown, White IT DOESN’T matter, if you come at me with murder in your heart…I’m gonna drop your ass like a bag a shit.
