Wait a minute – the Rust Belt is places like MI, OH, & PA isn’t it? Isn’t that where all the steel and cars and shit like that used to be made? You’d be right except for one little point – it’s spreading. Again, thanks to the Liberal Democrats and the fools that love to vote for them.
Beretta Arms announced April 4th that they will leave the State of MD.
MD, like the above mentioned states is a reliable true ‘blue’ state, and very much like the ones listed above it is a Democrat Stronghold and has been for years.
How much of a strong hold? Take a look at the make up of the State and Federal representatives of MD and judge for yourself:
Maryland State House of Delegates:
- Democrats = 98
- Republicans = 43
Maryland State Senate:
- Democrats = 44
- Republicans = 13
Maryland Governor – Democrat
Maryland Representative to US Congress / Senate – 2, Both Democrats
Maryland Representative to US Congress/ House – 8, 7 Democrats – 1 Republican
See a pattern here? Just like Ohio and MI and others – it’s been that way for decades.
And just like in every single one of the Rust Belt States mentioned above, MD’s Democrat politicians have turned around and bit the very hand that feeds them. Like OH, MI, and PA the Donks in MD simply have legislated lucrative business and the decent paying jobs that went with them – right the fuck out of the state.
In OH it was that ever reliable Democrat vote that ended the Steel Industry. Democrats backed EPA regulations, ridiculous Union demands, and easing regulations on imported steel and products until finally in 1979 (roughly), it brought the entire region known as the “Steel Valley” to it’s economic knees. It, 33 years later has still not recovered. Despite the economic waste land the Democrats created in the rust belt..Sadly OH, my birthplace – and places like MI are still voting Democrat – I guess you can’t fix stupid.
While the Tax hungry Democrats are MORE than willing to suck up every tax dollar they can from manufacturing entities such as Beretta, they are insistent that the products they make are just too dang scary – they must be banned! In a cosmic case of “cluefucked beyond repair” MD Passed Anti-2nd Amendment laws recently that outlaws the very products made by Beretta in MD. Beretta’s answer – “Fuck you – Buh-Bye…. We’ll move someplace where at least the worker making our product can actually buy it with his hard earned monies”.
How much of an impact will this have in Accokeek? Just based on Census figures alone – Accokeek MD as of 2010 had a population of just over 10,000 people. 400 of them are loosing their jobs, 0r just shy of 4% of the population. The Steel Valley was worse – obviously – as if memory serves there was a loss of some nearly 30,000 jobs during the Steel Industry Meltdown with a population of just around 120,000. (As a foot note – that area has had a net population decline since 1960 of a staggering – 60 PERCENT).
Economic impact on a State level? Income revenue i.e. taxes in MD – just took a 31,000,000.00 dollar hit. You read that right… 31 MILLION Dollars in taxes has left the building.
Beretta paid approximately $31 million in taxes, employs 400 people, and had invested $73 million in the business over the past several decades. Despite being such a prominent player in the local economy, Beretta was unable to prevent legislators from passing tighter gun control laws. Ironically, Beretta manufactures some firearms that are now banned in Maryland.
That is just taxes Beretta paid to the State of MD in ONE year. It doesn’t account for all the Tax Revenue that will be lost via Income Taxes, Taxes collected on secondary businesses that dealt with Beretta, and the jobs lost there as well.
I’ll lay odds the in the next 12 months – the Democrats in Annapolis push to increase taxes on the “rich”. Anyone Wanna make that bet?
Oh, but it get’s even better. As we all know we have enough empirical evidence to choke a donkey (or a DemoProgNazi as the case may be) with the simple fact that – Those ProgNazi Utopian wonderlands with the strictest Anti- 2nd Amendment rights laws on the books seem to have a direct correlation to – abnormally high Crime Rates.
D.C., Chicago, LA, NYC, Detroit, and on and on the list goes, but golly gee, guess what other city makes the hall of shame for ‘most fucking dangerous place in America ?
If you guessed “Baltimore”. Pat yourself on the back. That distinction was earned even BEFORE the MD ProgNazi’s passed yet more Freedom destroying Anti Civil Rights laws this past 3 months. Need proof?
With a crime rate of 64 per one thousand residents, Baltimore has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes – from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One’s chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 16. Link
1 in 16, and they just stripped MD resident’s of even more rights to keep and bear arms and the ability to defend themselves from the criminals. In what fucking world does this make sense?
Now – Would someone – anyone – PLEASE tell me, who the fuck are these fools so in love with the Democratic Party? How many times does it have to be proven that the Democrats are not for the “middle class”, They are not for the “little guy”, they are not for the “workers”, and they don’t give a fuck about anything but being the Nazi Socialist Jackbooted shit weasel thugs they always turn out to be when they are in office?? Jesus wept!!
