And it will. It is inevitable that it will, the way it’s put together. Liberal fascist propagandists can stick their fingers in their ears and lie as fast as their already impressive skills at lying allow them, but healthcare costs will rise and more people, not less, will end up without insurance. Which is, we were told, the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do. Although some rely on the use of  CBG flower to enhance their sanity with mental health, insurance still remains a problem.

Here’s a whole list outlining the inevitability of it all, with details.

We’ll just excerpt one bullet point.

Individuals who do not have have health coverage will be forced to pay what we learned this morning was a tax to the IRS instead. Rational people, then will choose not to buy insurance until their health costs + the penalty is greater than the cost of a health plan.

Ah, but won’t “rational” people, not knowing what tomorrow might bring, choose to buy insurance “just in case?” No, they won’t, because that wouldn’t be rational. You see, under OgabeTaxCare, even if the unthinkable does happen and you suddenly find yourself in need of insurance, you’re not in trouble. You can just go purchase the insurance when you need it, since insurance companies, under OgabeTaxCare, have to accept your application no matter what. If you’re willing to pay the premium, they have to sign you up and start paying your medical bills immediately. So unless you knew ahead of time that your health care costs over the next year plus the Ogabe penalty tax would exceed the price of coverage, you’d have absolutely no logical reason to sign up for a plan.

Why pay, say, $12,000/year for a plan if your tax punishment plus your normal average expenditures are less than that? You’d be an idiot to do so. Particularly since you know, thanks to OgabeTaxCare, that should some catastrophic event happen on Day X that would boost your expenditures above $12,000, all you have to do is to call Big Evil Insurance and say “hey, sign me up and start paying my bills” and they would be forced, by law, to do so.

So there goes the private insurance industry in a giant implosion of Epic Fail since they obviously can’t exist in a market where nobody will be paying into their plans until those same “customers” know that they’ll be pulling out more than they’ll be putting in.

And what’s next after that? Government monopoly on health insurance and “single payer systems” or no health care at all. And if we need to explain to you again just how “wonderful” single payer is, then you’ve obviously not been paying attention at all since the day you were born.

That’s what we’ve been saying all along whenever anybody would protest that OgabeTaxCare isn’t a government takeover of health care with all of the NHS loveliness that that means because, well, OgabeTaxCare doesn’t outlaw private insurance, so there!

No it doesn’t. It just makes sure they’ll either close shop voluntarily or do so after they go bankrupt, leaving nothing but, yes, a complete government takeover.

Semantics. They might as well have outlawed private insurance, because that outcome is inevitable under OgabeTaxCare, and that is what they wanted all along.

We’re reminded about something that Ogabe said long before he became Comrade LightBringer:

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

See? He is absolutely not saying that he would make it illegal to build a coal-powered plant, that’s just rightwing death beast Teabagger conspiracy theories, it’s just that those coal-powered plants would go bankrupt right away under his plan.

Which is totally different from just outlawing them right away!

Thatisall.
