Anyone want to field that question from ObamaCare supporter Kirsten Gillibrand?
…asks Allahpundit from Hot Gas, the question being:
“The power to decide whether or not to use contraception lies with a woman – not her boss,” said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. “What is more intrusive than trying to allow an employer to make medical decisions for someone who works for them?”
Hmm… Let’s see… How about “forcing somebody to fund something that is morally repugnant to them and, more importantly, a violation of their faith”, you daft cow?
And who’s “making medical decisions” for anybody here? Because we honestly can’t see it. Those women who still want to use contraception, have abortions or use abortifacients are perfectly free to do so, unless there’s a hidden clause we haven’t heard of yet in their contracts that states that doing so will result in termination. Which, by the way, still isn’t “forcing” anybody to do anything. Nobody has a G-d given right to work for a Catholic entity.
Their employers simply refuse to PAY for it.
But that’s leftist boilerplate for you: If it’s not provided free of charge, it’s the same as “forcing” the individual to go without. Actually forcing somebody else to pay for it is not “forcing” at all.
So we guess that His Imperial Majesty is “forced” to drive his car to work since his evil employer refuses to pay for having us picked up in a chopper every day. The BASTARD! Somebody oughta make a LAW!
There, Allahpundit. That was easy. Now do you have some actually challenging questions?
Thatisall.
