If you use “Google” as your search engine of choice, you’ll notice that today’s “cute” banner is a celebration of Thomas Edison (Or, more precisely, he and his assistants.) inventing the incandescent light bulb. The discovery led to the Age of Electricity™, which led to all of the cool stuff we enjoy these days, including these very same InterWebTubeNets™ that you’re reading this over. We’d wager a year’s worth of LC Mope’s beer that the Neo-Socialists at “Google” haven’t an inkling how ironic it is that they should put up a banner celebrating such an invention, when their Neo-Marxist friends in the O’Bungles Misadministration have finally managed to shut down the last domestic incandescent light bulb factory in the US and outlawed their future sale, purchase and, ultimately, use in the US.
In case you don’t want to give those Useful Useless Idiots™ hits on their counter by going to their home page, we’ll give you the picture here. (We’re hoping the GIF works. If not, deal with it.)
Oh, and we’d be willing to wager the combo to His Imperial Vindictiveness’ liquor cabinet that all of those steam-punk machines that are providing the sparky stuff for the light bulb aren’t running on unicorn farts and pixie dust, either.
