…and you know what you’ll find (h/t LC Jerry):

As a way to solve the national debt crisis, North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue recommends suspending congressional elections for the next couple of years.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, N.C., according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”

Perdue said she thinks that temporarily halting elections would allow members of Congress to focus on the economy. “You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things,” Perdue said.

Hell yeah. Then the filthy liberal fascists in Congress, not to mention SCOAMF himself, won’t have to worry about their skanky, totalitarian arses being kicked to the curb in the next election while they systematically dismantle whatever remains of our Republic. Why should elected representatives have to worry about the electoral consequences from the people they claim to represent, after all?

As LC & IB angrywebmaster puts it:

Funny how the Liberals are always screaming that conservatives want to institute a dictatorship but they’re the ones trying to do it.

It’s called “projection”, and it’s evident in everything liberals accuse conservatives of wanting to do. Listen closely to them and you’ll soon have a complete playbook for everything they intend to do if or when they can get away with it.

There’s just this one thing that the commie slut Perdue (and the rest of the drooling liberal fascists) keep forgetting: You need to disarm the populace first. That “tiny” mistake is going to cost you dearly if you ever try to do what we all know that you really want to do.

Suspend democracy?

Try it, and you’ll be the ones who end up getting suspended.

From a tree.

Thatisall.

[Update] Just in time to make the gaffe even worse, They come out with their own new spin. The Guv was joking

UPDATE 5:17 p.m.:

Perdue press secretary Chris Mackey claims the governor was joking when she made the comment.

“Come on … Gov. Perdue was obviously using hyperbole to highlight what we can all agree is a serious problem: Washington politicians who focus on their own election instead of what’s best for the people they serve,” Mackey said in an email to The DC.
