Today is the day that we finally hit the debt ceiling that we’ve been told by the DemCong and the RINO Party (but we repeat ourself) HAS TO BE RAISED OR WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!1!!1.
Oddly enough, as we look out over the ramparts of the Imperial Castle it would appear that our nation is still here, we haven’t defaulted on our debts, our phones aren’t aren’t ringing off the hook with strange bill collectors threatening to come over and break all of our fingers in Mandarin Chinese, nor have we seen the merest hint of the Four Bikers of the Apocalypse driving down the street. Although we did notice one strange looking dude who may have been Grievous Bodily Harm although, if you ask us, he looked more like Things Not Working Properly Even After You’ve Given Them A Good Thumping But Secretly No Alcohol Lager.
OK, enough with the Pratchett/Gaiman references.
So what gives?
Of course, equally obviously, the collective brain trust that is Washington DC also hasn’t figured out that another way of not breaking the debt ceiling is to quit spending money you don’t have and has, instead, decided to raid pension funds to keep up the spending spree. Heck, with a moron like Turbo Tax Geithner in charge, you would think that they’d try something like pretending that they didn’t understand the software instead but, what the heck?
Just wanted to let you know that the world DIDN’T end today, it’s still scheduled for this Saturday right after tea.
We’re sure that Weepy Boner and his RINO Surrender Monkeys will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory anyway. They never missed an opportunity to fuck up. As a matter of fact, they could fuck up a wet dream and we fully expect them to do so this time as well.
Stand by for the Grand Compromise that We Absolutely Have to Agree to in Order to Save the World and Which, by the Way, is a Humongous Victory for Conservatism Because it Saves $2.64 Over the Next 40 Years if the DemCong Keeps Their Promises Which They’ve Always Done in the Past™.
According to the country club Krauthammer/Romney GOP, that is.
