Yes, that John Green. The bereaved father of Christina Green.
There he is, the dead body of his brutally murdered child almost still warm, tears choking him up, yet maintaining that this is the price we pay for liberty and, no matter what, he still prefers that over the alternative.
I have no words.
The Imperial Heirs are the same age as his girl was when she was slain in cold blood by that insane monster, yet he manages to keep his eye on the big picture. He, of all people, just about the ONLY one that I would have given a pass on lashing out angrily in every direction imaginable. After all, what decent human being could blame him considering the hell he must be in right now?
Yet there he is. His courage, his grace, his self-control. It is humbling to watch and I cannot honestly say, though I wish I could, that I could measure up to him if I, heaven forbid, were ever to find myself in his shoes.
He, in the midst of tragedy, a horror that no parent would even want to imagine to find themselves in, still has the courage and commitment to something greater than himself that makes him an example to us all.
Our Lives, Our Fortunes and Our Sacred Honor.
He embodies that.
Contrast that to the puling worms scrambling around in the muck looking for body parts to further their own disgusting agendas and those useless swine ought to be shamed to death. If they had any shame at all, which they don’t or they would have killed themselves a long time ago and left the world a better place for it.
You are a far better man than I, Mr. Green, and whenever adversity hits me, I will find strength in your courage under fire and your commitment to your beliefs.
May G-d bless you and grant the strength that you, your wife and Christina’s brother, as well as everybody else among your loved ones need to make it through those horrible times.
You are an example to us all.
