The communist cunts of Seattle vote to speed up in order to catch up with Detroit. Who wants to be the last commiecrat dump to go bankrupt?:

Seattle’s city council on Monday unanimously approved an increase in the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour, making it the nation’s highest by far.

Why not raise it to $50/hr. Or $100? Or One meeelion dollars per hour? Hey, if you’re going to turn your city into a Mad Max set, might as well go all out!

The increase to $15 in Seattle will take place over several years based on a scale that considers the size of and benefits offered by an employer. It will apply first to many large businesses in 2017

Because large businesses are EVIL! And, coincidentally, soon to be located exclusively in states like Texas. Thanks, y’all, but at this rate we’re going to have to annex New Mexico to find enough room for all of the businesses fleeing your failed “progressive” dictatorships.

and then to all businesses by 2021.

Not to worry. This part won’t be enforced. There won’t be any businesses left to fleece by then.

The advocacy group 15 for Seattle estimates the wage hike will benefit more than 100,000 workers.

If by “benefit” you mean “funemployed and enjoying the blessings of ObamaCare.”

Some think the law does not go far enough.

“One MEEEELION dollars!!!! ”

Meanwhile, several states have passed or are considering proposals to adopt a $10.10 an hour minimum wage. Most recently, Michigan raised its hourly minimum to $9.25.

And just look at that economic powerhouse utopia now!

Oops. Wrong picture, that’s phase II of Democratopia. This is the one we were looking for:

Hooray! Ne shagu nazad! Vorwärts!

So, all of you soon to be unemployed Seattleite burger flippers. What were you planning on doing with that massive pay increase that you’re never going to see because you’ll be fired and replaced with robots before that ever happens? Buy one of the new $20 dollar Happy Meals? Buy a $10 gallon of milk?
