My wife and I just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are generally healthy people who don’t go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The insurance is in case of a major catastrophe.
Well, now, because of Obamacare, my wife’s rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.

Ah yes, Comrade Hussein’s Signature Clusterfuck marches victoriously on. The healthy young people who were supposed to sign up in droves for insurance that they don’t need on account of being young and healthy, the milk cows who were supposed to be paying into the system so Comrade Hussein’s Clusterfuck could pay out to those who DO need insurance, aren’t suddenly all that interested in signing up, now that they’ve seen just how expensive “free” healthcare is.
But not to worry. Now that they’re forced to drop insurance they can no longer afford, they’ll be forced to pay a fine with the money they don’t have or they’d have bought insurance in the first place.
