I’m not sure if I will be remembered, or if it is safe; but I’m back. Unlike previous summers, this one has NOT been punctuated by family hospitalizations. Aside from a massive garden, a new roof on the house, a new roof on the garage, and remodeling the inside of the garage so we will actually have some storage, I have been involved with our local TEA Party’s Preparedness Breakfasts, wherein we discuss what to do if there is a loss of power, heat, water, or food supplies due to economic, natural disasters, or other means. I recommend such activities to any of the LC’s; as life is possibly going to get interesting in the relatively near future.

My first visit back will be a short piece [OK, for me]. Today during an email conversation a friend expressed some major exasperation at the repeated assumptions by the Institutional Republicans on the talking head shows today that “of course” Romney is fated to be the Republican nominee against Obama.

That triggered a rant. Not a bad one, if I say so myself. So I will inflict it on you, and hope for comments.

Karen, you just have to accept that the Institutional Republicans are not on our side, and in fact are objectively siding with enemy; whose interests are coincident with theirs. Anger is not misplaced, but it needs to be a cold blooded anger. Accept the fact that their actions are not betrayal by someone on our side, so long as you do not believe that they are allies and friends. We are fighting a two front war, and we are embedded in one of our foes’ positions. We are openly at war with the Democrat segment of TWANLOC, and covertly at war with the Institutional Republican segment. We can use their machinery against them, as they will use their machinery against us. They have the advantage of not having to follow the rules within that machinery, and of having the power to attack and insult us with impunity. We have numbers, and ultimately control of funding and the grunt work of campaigning. If we don’t give it, they don’t have it. If they do not have enough of it, then they cannot hold on to enough power to get a cut of the spoils. We can choose which candidates and offices we support directly, and not funnel it through the party machinery where it will be largely either wasted or used against us.

If they force Romney on us as the nominee, then the most important thing for us is the creation of a Patriot majority in Congress. And no, that does not mean a “Republican” majority, although for the moment that is part of it and it will be so labeled. We have the tide moving favorably to throw out many Democrats from Congress [although a Romney nomination will reduce turnout enough to mitigate that, which is a feature, not a bug for the Institutionals]. Our efforts need to be focused on primary challenges to Institutionals who are RINO’s or DIABLO’s. When 1/4 to 1/3 of the “Republicans” can be depended upon to vote with the Democrats on critical matters, and with the Institutional Leadership working NOT to do anything to actually defeat the Democrats legislatively; this is most important.

Just from political demographics, we are not going to sweep absolute control of Congress nationwide under the Republican label. Too much of the country is controlled by corrupt Democrat machines, and in those areas such Republicans who remain are kept lapdogs who are more than content with an occasional scrap of graft. We can get a majority, but with enough guaranteed defectors as to thwart any attempt to Restore America. The most efficient and effective way to fight for the country, so long as the battle is still possible on the electoral field and the Enemy has not moved to the other side of the Clausewitzian “=” sign; is to replace collaborator Republicans with Patriots.

If the Institutional Republicans nominate Romney, Obama wins either way. Either Obama will thrash Romney at the polls [Romney being this year’s version of McCain], or if Romney somehow wins and the election results are honored; Romney’s first term will not be that different from Obama’s second. Nowhere in his history is there any sign of his being willing to fight for any conservative goals. Efforts wasted to try to elect him will benefit the Institutional Republicans, but not the country. The two are NOT the same.

The efforts would be better spent in the House and Senate; removing Democrats, of course. But even more importantly removing collaborators and replacing them with Patriots. Fight in your own district/state if it will take a seat away from a Democrat. Fight in your own district even harder in the primaries if there is a chance to take a seat away from a turncoat Republican and replace him with a Patriot. And if you can, send money to fellow Patriot candidates who are trying to unseat DIABLO’s. Just don’t send it through the party machinery. And for some fortunate few with the means, go volunteer with the neighboring Patriot’s campaign.

This election has another advantage for us. There is re-apportionment in progress. That means more opportunity for primaries as the gerrymandered districts are in flux. If your district/state already has a Patriot in office then you can turn part of your efforts to helping fund and support primary challenges to RINO’s and DIABLO’s elsewhere. Every RINO seat turned Patriot is a vote for Restoring America, frequently more so than a Democrat seat turned “Republican”™. And eventually, we may get enough to replace the Institutional’s Leadership in Congress with people who will close with the Enemy and fight.

We are one year out from the point, where if Gov. Beverly Purdue [D-NC], Van Jones [D-Czar], and Peter Orzag [D-former director of OMB] are disappointed and we do have elections in 2012, we can begin to repair some the damage done since January 2009. It is time to start planning and working.

My reading of the situation exactly, SB. It’s the only hypothesis that explains why the Repubs keep snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, keep refusing to fight all out (or even half out); and why they bitch and moan about the patriots more than they do about the Quisling bastards. But just like the treasonous Left took over the… Read more »

I have less confidence that this is possible than I once did. The Republican party has become a festering cesspit of “moderate” Leftism and infighting. Reaganism is dead, it’d take nothing short of a miracle to resurrect it now. The enemy holds too many political cards. The message of Leftism is easy for the average person to understand, the message… Read more »

.Glad to see your thoughts Lord Pao An. I wish I could share your optomism in regards to repairing our system. I am willing to try, because frankly there is nothing to lose. But I really feel that all things considered, the system and supporting infrstructure is completely corrupted to the point where our ability to repair it is a… Read more »

Tallulah says: … I do have one demurral, though, and it’s a big one: If O-Bumfuck wins another term, he’s going to infest the judiciary branch with the most poisonous, traitorous, vicious bastards in the nation. Romney, milquetoast though he be, has to pay at least lip service to appointing people who aren’t open Communists and totalitarians. O-Bumfuck will really… Read more »

LC Xealot @ #6: I’m afraid I share your pessimism. What was that quote? “The tree of liberty must from time to time be nourished with the blood of patriots”? But, at the same time … maybe it’s good for us, in the long term. The problem with the country really is its people, I think. Not all of them,… Read more »

Just Another Random Nut says: The problem with the country really is its people, I think. Not all of them, certainly, but the majority. The problem with the majority is that it’s easier to follow than to think. Absolutely. This is exactly what I have railed against for years. Well before Ogabe’s ascendancy. The true bulk of the voters, just… Read more »

By nature – and experience, I stand with you pessimists. Every republic, every empire, every civilization in the past has fallen. This may well be our time. Regardless, I will continue to resist by every means of which I am capable, actively and passively. While I would like it if someone else resisted alongside, I fight my own battles. All… Read more »

The wild list of things in the demands of the OWS crowd will be the first things to evaporate if the forces they support prevail. If they can’t understand that,, well,, nature didn’t come with an operating manual, nor will it ever suffer a buncha’ fools.
