How ’bout them Rangers?

Seriously, His Imperial Majesty was all settled in to accept yet another defeat in the World Series, the only thing keeping him awake was his team’s reputation for pulling off amazing upsets at the last minute (along with an amazing reputation for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, but we digress), but nobody could have prepared us for the 9th inning hustling by Kinsler, Andrus, Hamilton and Young.

Bloody unbelievable!

Now, if our team could only apply that sort of thing to the first 8 innings of their games, then it’d be Rangers in 5, but we somehow don’t see that happening.

They’re great under pressure, but not so much otherwise.

Still, that makes for bloody exciting baseball, doesn’t it?

One thing is for sure: This World Series is one beautifully matched baseball extravaganza between two great teams.

Thatisall.

If the Rangers let those stinking Cardinals win this series, I’m coming back to Texas with a big stick, and a truckload of .338 Lapua.

~Big Evil ….Brewers fan in mourning but has past association with the Rangers…….

I love the Cards, but being a Texan I have to love the Rangers more.

Rangers in 5. I am heading to Vegas on Sunday and will put money on it.

Plus, with what Pujols pulled last night; that is the end of the Cards

Rangers, Brewers woulda been a great series. However I am biased in that viewpoint and am putting my faith in the Rangers to crush the Cardinals because around here, the only thing more insufferable then a cardinals fan is a …… I’ll retract that, one shouldn’t kick folks when they are down especially when their team faces them this Sunday.… Read more »

I gotta say, that was actually a very exciting game – the fielding was fantastic, some of those plays (especially at 2nd base) really showed what caliber and level the professionals play at.

I’m for Tejas………

The Rangers do deserve kudos. Too bad about those other residents of Dallas that Jerry Jones owns.

the only thing more insufferable then a cardinals fan is a

Yankee fan, Patriots fan, or Heat fan.

Just because His Imperial Vileness lives in Ranger country, all y’all gotta be kissin’ his ass. Speaking as someone who has lived within 3 hours travel time of Busch Stadium for 98% of his life, all I have to say is – If the Rangers win The Show, it’s all Bush’s fault…

We stand at Deuce because Albert missed the cutoff. And the long out he hit to center would have been over the fence in July without that north wind. The east coast presstitutes won’t ever let him or Us forget it. I was in the Texas corner last year against San Franshithole. And Baseball is its own universe, the center… Read more »

Tony is too Californicated and a P.E.T.A. member to boot but #5 saved his bacon tonight. The Rangers also had the misfortune to experience their first Denkinger moment when Napoli made that tag. If Motte had been right on last night, they’d be in a world of hurt, but he channeled Ray Sadecki, (who’s # was also 30), and remembered… Read more »

As a Houstonian, Your Majesty, I am counting on the Rangers to put a thumb in the Cardinal’s eye this series.

But, ummm, tonight wasn’t it. Need a little help here.

Someone call Tonya Harding and show her a picture of Pujol’s kneecap.

All right, I’ll jump in here to give the Rangers supporters someone to dogpile on. I gave up on the Cardinals back in July. They were pathetic, anemic, frustrating, and Tony is an idiot. But there is some precedent in skating into the playoffs by sheer luck (see 2006 Cardinals, and note that since 2000, eight wild card teams made… Read more »

a certain retarded call at 1st base Uh, I’ll give you two words: Don Denkinger. No question the call at 1st was blown, but you’re not going to see me feeling too sympathetic. Lifelong Redbirds fan here. I enjoyed watching Pujols play teeball in game 3, but I told my wife that we’d probably need some of those runs in… Read more »
