When It Came

A very large Tip O’ The Hat to cmblake6 for comment embedding the link to this haunting piece “When It Came”. I read it thoroughly as well as the author- Francis Porretto’s link to his thoughts after writing the short essay, “Afterbirth Thoughts”.

On this solemn day we should give thanks to those that gave their all in the past, and perhaps, those that are prepared to give their all in the future, G-d Forbid.

I’ll let our gentle readers consider the validity of Mr. Porretto’s thoughts on this. However for myself, it’s a distillation of many nightmares and those dark thoughts that come on gloomy days.

May G-d Bless those Patriots that gave the ultimate measure of devotion in the cause of liberty and may G-d Bless those to come.

If you can read a book, thank a Teacher .. If you can read it in English, thank a Soldier.

Thank you for the link. As I said in my intro, that was a pure awesome writing. And very much a mirror to my own dreams of what needs to occur, done with a far more artistic ability than my own.

May such an occurrence never come to pass.

But, if it must…may it happen exactly as Porretto has written it.
