And So It Begins…

The first of the GOPe to fold like a cheap lawn chair, just as they planned all along from the very moment they even mentioned “no votes on Obama nominees, PERIOD!”.

Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois on Friday became the first Republican senator to call for an up-or-down vote on Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, saying on a Chicago radio show that his colleagues ought to “just man up and cast a vote.”

And he won’t be the last, either.

That’s how it was supposed to play out from the start. Standard GOPe surrender theater. Bang chests, promise, PROMISE, then slowly start yielding until they finally do what they were going to do all along, which is to give in to their partners in crime from the National Socialist Democrat wing of the Uniparty.

And there are still people wondering why some of us just want to see them all burn?

Thatisall.

Have plenty of nice seasoned wood that I can spare, along with a contribution in fossil fuels and some pyrotechnic ignition devices (matches) available. All that is missing is the location for delivery and a few volunteers :em01: .

This Statist totalitarian gets on the bench, say goodbye to Heller and the second amendment, and pretty much all of the constitution.

I did not vote for Kirk this time around. I did for his first run for office, on the hopes that a Naval Officer would at least have some understanding of; a) what the Constitution was, and b) would honor his oath (of enlistment/service) “To Protect and Defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic”… Sadly, I saw his true colors… Read more »

Can’t the GOP understand their allowing folks like this into the party (as in running for office under the Republican banner) , and the resulting actions of same is one of the (many) reasons why Trump is where he is now?

No, they can’t.

I wasn’t holding my breath, either. Wish we were able to make that court as irrelevant to our daily lives as it originally was, instead of as the Mount Olawpus it’s become.

Sadly, both the country as a whole, and the other two branches of the FedGov, has ever felt even the slightest desire to do that from the very start of… Read more »

I also voted for him first time around for much the same reasons. However, this time I voted for Marter (sp?). I don’t regret it one bit.

Radical Redneck @ #: Maximum schadenfreude overload! It gets even better. There’s a new video by a Tucson police officer that’s going viral. He went to the Trump rally as a private citizen and was shocked at just how violent the Anti-Trumps were. I think we have a new Trump voter. Oh yes. He happens to be of recent African… Read more »

I saw that earlier. He will be an excellent messenger. :em01:

Have you ever been here? A place for rare positive Trump coverage. Some of his fanbois are a little embarassing, but it’s always a good read.

Nope. I saw the entry just now about Glen Beck.

I guess it is true. He has gone off the deep end with an anchor tied to his neck.

While not convinced yet that this guy’s a “totalitarian,” if the above happens we’ll quickly say goodbye to this government–with extreme prejudice. The last word is ours.
