Much like the vaunted “Ames straw poll.” Where’s “Ames” again? We still can’t find it on Google Maps. Must be a super secret, very important sort of place. Like Area 51.

Ames is roughly thirty minutes north of Des Moines. If you make an “X” by drawing a line from Iowa’s NE corner to its SW corner, and a second line from the NW corner to that squiggly thing in the SE, Ames is pretty much where the two lines intersect.
Also, the Straw Poll was officially cancelled in 2015.
