And then there is offensively stupid:

Rep. Peter King, a Republican retarded fuckwit from New York,

Fixed it for you. Yes, we’re feeling ever so helpful today.

is planning to introduce legislation that would make it illegal to bring a gun within 1,000 feet of a government official, according to a person familiar with the congressman’s intentions.

We sincerely hope that they come out with a vehement denial of this and soon because this is about the dumbest thing we’ve ever heard and yes, we’ve watched C-SPAN coverage of Congress before so that is saying something.

Just how in the name of Ba’al’s rotting jockstrap are they supposed to enforce that one? Will our “betters” be surrounded by a moving force field keeping law-abiding CCL holders up to date on whether or not we’re entering a “no carry zone?” Will we implant a rangefinder chip in all Congress-weasels? Will Congress-worms be surrounded by a circle of criers banging on cow bells shouting “Lord of Congress approaching, no gun-wielding serfs may approach any closer!”

Which brings us to another point: What possessed this fuckwit and the equally fuckwitted fuckwits supporting the idea of the notion that Congress-porkers are so much more important than everybody else that they require special rules to protect their holy selves? Their hyper-inflated egos, of course. That was a rhetorical question.

Are they trying to give We the People a good reason to, ahem, “remonstrate forcefully” with them? If so, they’re doing a great job.

Oh, and of course the most important point: Does that pompous arse and his supporters believe that a psycho who is hell bent and determined to bag himself a politician is going to have second thoughts because, you know, planning to murder somebody in cold blood is one thing, but going against an act of Congress stating that you may not possess a weapon within 1,000 feet of a Lord Your Master is just one step too far?

The only, ONLY people who would be even remotely likely to obey such an idiotic edict would be the very people who might very well save the fat, overpaid, underworked porker’s arse’s life by gunning down the assassin first.

Come to think of it, this may not be such a bad idea after all.

We herewith denounce ourself for our uncivil rhetoric.

The rest of the article is equally full of monumental, cosmic fail (it IS the Puffington Host, after all, so it’s not like you’d be expecting signs of intelligence), but this one little bit had us chuckling:

It is already illegal in the U.S. to carry a gun within 1,000 feet of a school.

IS it now? Well, somebody needs to send us poor liberty-obsessed, ig’nant hicks down here the memo, because we sure haven’t heard of it and, last we checked, we hadn’t thrown the other states out of the union we graciously allowed them to join back in 1845.

Imagine if that were true: Googlemaps would have to include an “avoid getting within 1,000 feet of a school” option when asking for directions which might pose some slight difficulties if you wanted to drive around in a city with more than six horses and a whore.

You might want to do some basic fact checking before you reach for your keyboards in the future. Oh, there might be some insane states where that is the rule, we have no doubts, but Texas ain’t one of them.

What an utter waste of tissue those leftists are. If only somebody would come up with a way to recycle them into something useful to mankind.

Thatisall.

Response to Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere @:

1000 ft huh? Here’s a little test: Go out to any local HS (especially during hunting season) in Montana or South Dakota and count how many guns are hanging on gun racks in all the pickup trucks.

You’ll lose count at least twice.

The school I work in advertises that we are a weapons-free zone. So, anyone looking to shoot us up will have free and easy access.

Response to Light29ID @: Hell, when I went to school all those years ago in northern MN, in the fall most of us had guns and rounds in our lockers so we could go hunting after school. Amazing isn’t it. We got in fights like any other kids but no one ever pulled a gun and started shooting. ————————————————————————————————————————————- I… Read more »

I expected better from Rep. King, who really should have more sense than this. If his proposal is in fact what’s being portrayed, the stupidity of it would be stunning even by the standards of Congress. When I was in college in the Upper Midwest during deer season, there was no shortage of guns on campus (including mine). Nobody ever… Read more »

Response to Light29ID @: Ahhhhhh……but my Renegade is a smokepole….rifled with good sights(no scope) but still a smokepole. If I wanted to really play, I have a few little fellas that I would trust at 750 yds+. After all, 1000 feet is only 330 yds. I don’t have a 300 WinMag but I have a 300 Weatherby Mag. Response to MasterGuns Imperial Swampmaster @:

I love Weatherbys but the cost is equivalent to buying a small Caribbean island. I don’t believe buying a $5000+ rifle just to bang the shit out of it running up and down hills looking for a Bull Elk is smart, sorry. I’d rather pay money for a good Leupold or Unertl scope instead.

There is a Federal Statute prohibiting possession of a firearm in a school zone. Title 18, Chapter 44, Section 922, Subsection q(2)(A) states: (2)(A) It shall be unlawful for any individual knowingly to possess a firearm that has moved in or that otherwise affects interstate or foreign commerce at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to… Read more »

So long as the gummint a-hole has to always wear some kind of giant, brightly colored warning, so we’ll know to shun them fully, this might not be so bad. I kid–it’d still be bad and unconstitutional, but really, gummint a-holes should have to wear pink or chartreuse jumpsuits or something. They get the same respect from us that they… Read more »

Rep. Peter King? Would that be the same one who used to be such a fan of the Provo IRA, back in the old days? I think those gu;ys tried to carry weapons a bit closer to politicians, and not for show and tell. How did they used to say …?

One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.
