Prayers Needed

We take time out from our busy schedule to ask for kind thoughts and prayers (where appropriate), for our very own LC Brendan, whose beloved wife is currently in the hospital with DVT (deep venous thromobosis) and an unidentified mass.

LC Brendan has tried to get in touch with me but, thanks to time diff and my schedule, that’s no easy task. I didn’t learn it until I heard from LC MuscleDaddy. I’m sorry, Brendan my old friend, and thank you, MuscleDaddy, for letting me know.

I can’t even imagine what you’re going through right now, Brendan, but if ever there was a time to get the Rottie Prayer Brigades to work, now would be it.

[And let there be NO doubt, prayer is a powerful tool. “And their prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. And anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.”
James 5:15-16 -JB]

Dear Heavenly Father,
Please protect and heal our sister, guide the hands and minds of the ones providing her care, and lend your infinite strength to our brother Brendan who needs it more than most right now.
We ask this humbly in the name of your son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

    Dear Jesus,
Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick,
we turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the Troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
    Dear God,
we place our worries in Your hands.
We ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
    Above all,
grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will
and know that whatsoever You do,
You do for the love of us.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

I hope I am not speaking out of turn .. if you’re reading this I can make a call and have a couple of Missionaries come by and administer a blessing. It’s Mormon, and even if you disagree with the Church it can’t hurt.

My email is bob at starposition dot com .. provide your contact info and I will call you, sir. Doesn’t matter where in the world you are.

May Heavenly Father watch over you and yours.

My sincere prayers are with you and your lady, Brendan. You will be at the top of my list until I hear she is getting better. And take care of yourself. I remember watching my wife on life support, I drove home, sat in a chair and cried. I will never forget it. God Bless.

    LC Rurik says:

O Christ, who alone art our Defender, speedily from on high visit thy suffering servant, the beloved wife of Brendan, delivering her from sickness and bitter pain. Raise her up that she may sing to Thee and praise Thee without ceasing by the prayers of the Mother of God, o Thou who alone lovest mankind.

O Merciful Lord visit and heal the beloved wife of Brendan, now lying on the bed of sickness and sorely afflicted, as Thou, O Saviour didst once raise Peter’s wife’s mother, and the man sick of the palsy, who was carried on his bed: for Thou alone hast borne the sickness and afflictions of our race, and with Thee nothing is impossible for Thou are all-merciful.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, both now and ever, and unto the Ages of Ages. Amen.

Lord we know and have seen miracles brought forth from the prayers of the many combined to a task and we thank you for hearing us and revealing Your will as it shall be.

Christ is our Rock and Comfort in times of trials such as these and we cling to the foot of the Cross for comfort and solace. We beseech you, that Thy Will be done and that through Grace we can know that your gentle mercy on us through the eternal offering of the Blood Of The Lamb, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior,

I know its off topic, but while we’re all in a praying mood, Could I pull down some celestial fire power for the folks in Kentucky?

I personally am currently sitting in North West Louisiana. My family and friends are all spattered about the Jackson Purchase region of west Kentucky (Graves County specifically, just south of Paducah.)

The storm hit last Monday, I just got in contact with my folks today. (The Cell towers are hooked up to generators)

Them, and most folks had emergency gear, but 7 days is a stretch for the average disaster kit. Most folks are only rigged out for 24-72 hour emergencies. Bugging out is a challenge when the gas station will only allow you 10 dollars worth of fuel.

My folks are still without power, still without clean water. The groceries and the gas stations are rationing. They have a generator, (hooked up outside, o’course) but fuels’ starting to get scarce. They have gas heat if the genny goes, but by then then the bottled water, food, and propane will be severely depleted.

Oh, and ain’t nobody down there seen hide nor hair of FEMA. Guardsmen and locals only. Thank you, Mr. President.

Prayers have been sent to Eir, our goddess of healing and medicine. I sincerely hope that you and your wife will pull through this testing time safe, sound and stronger. Keep your spirits up, mate.

Looks like your folks are strong and well prepared. I’m sure they’ll get through this. But just in case, they have been included in my prayers as well.

I accept with gratitude and deep appreciation. Please thank them for their kindness. I don’t hand out contact details as a rule…sorry. No matter where they are…God hears them.

Thanks to you all…she is doing well, and in very good hands. Tomorrow we will know more…the first procedure went VERY well…..the next part will be more difficult…and that is being planned.

Words cannot express how I feel..thank you seems pitiful..but from the depths of my heart, I thank God for each and every one of you.

This is so good to hear Brendan. Like I was telling you on the Instant Bark the other night this is all going to pass and she is going to be fine. My wife has been asking several times a day for an update. Hang in there.

There is a ton of positive energy coming from this group and it will make a difference.

We have done our version of a “prayer” for you and your wife as well. It has been written down and read aloud.

Not a problem .. I asked the First and Second Counselors of the local Bishopric administer a blessing for Jaylynn when she was born and she pulled through nicely (and has been up since 5AM listening to a battery powered music box in her crib, I call it Stinker Radio) so I assumed it could only help. If you see the two guys in white shirts and bikes and neckties on the street chances are they’re Missionaries, and chances are they’ll drop whatever else they have going on to help you. That’s just the way they roll. :em04:

Prayers sent brother. In thanks for what’s gone right, in supplication for what’s to come, and for healing afterwards. Know that we care. And that the Lord cares to hear supplication, regardless of what He’s named in our prayers. The energy of the Universe is truly a healer indeed.

I have donated, but the last time I went round, they threw me out as soon as the took my blood pressure. :em98: Probably the result of following politics. Seems to me that removing a pint or so should lower the pressure just a little bit. :em12:

Hilljohnny, I’m scheduled to donate this month sometime. I’ve been donating regularly ever since Sarah had surgery. I used to donate every other month years ago, but stopped for some reason. I guess I’ve donated close to a gallon (or more) over the years.
