“Hey, You Know What’s to Blame for Ft. Hood? EVIL GUNS, THAT’S WHAT!”

We have to admit, it took Nanny Bloomersberg a bit to catch up with his fellow leftist Idiotarians on this meme, but he finally got around to it:

Unfortunately, the Fort Hood rampage was not the first time that our military personnel have been murdered in the United States this year. In June, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad shot and killed an Army private and wounded another soldier at a military recruiting station in Little Rock.

Hmmm… Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, Nidal Hasan… We wonder… Is there a pattern here? Nah, surely not. Wait, don’t tell us… They’re both very common Presbyterian names?

In both cases, the loss of these young soldiers was compounded by a disturbing reality: The assailants had been under investigation by the FBI.

Which, if your last name is “Hasan”, “Muhammad” or “bin Laden”, means “not under any real investigation at all”, as we’ve come to learn. If your last name is “Smith”, on the other hand. Watch out!

In the more recent case, it would be easy enough to point fingers at the FBI.

Ya think? What was your first clue? The “investigation” that led to Special Agents sitting around rotating on their thumbs waiting for the moment when they could finally, finally issue their cookie cutter, boilerplate “nothing to do with terrorism or Islam” statement. Oh the agony they must have gone through.

Its counterterrorism agents concluded that Maj. Nidal Hasan’s communications with the radical cleric Anwar al-Aulaqi — an al-Qaeda sympathizer who acted as a “spiritual adviser” to two of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers — were for professional reasons.

Quite. If you’re a professional terrorist, that is.

A full investigation will reveal whether other red flags should have resulted in preventive action,

Like doing PowerPoint presentation “in-services” in favor of terrorism, trying to convince your patients that they have to convert to islam if they want to get better, having “Soldier of Allah” on your business cards, making web posts in favor of suicide bombings, yelling at fellow officers, stating that it is the duty of all muslims to “rise against their oppressors”… That sort of thing?

Nope. The real culprit here is, of course:

but here is one thing we already know: A federal law repeatedly supported by Congress interfered with the FBI’s ability to find out about Hasan’s purchase of a handgun. Knowledge of that purchase might — and should — have triggered great scrutiny. And it could have saved lives.

Sure. Forget about the umpteen red flags mentioned above and then some, if only, if ONLY the Federal Busboys of Incompetence had been told that Hasan had bought a handgun, in Texas, THEN they’d have been all over him like Bloomberg’s illegal agent provocateurs at a gun show. Because Heaven knows that somebody purchasing a firearm in the Lone Star State is something that gets the attention of the local field office, right away. It rarely ever happens.

Not to mention that the chances of anybody in any government agency who’d like to make a career out of his job investigating anybody who’d ever touched a koran are somewhere between “slim” and “none.” He could have purchased a tank squadron and plastered pictures of Osama bin Laden all over them and he’d still have been studiously ignored by our “first line of defense.”

If monumental moronitude were a religion, cathedrals would be built in Bloomberg’s honor and lesser imbeciles would be gathering beneath murals of him to worship.

During the Clinton administration, the FBI had access to records of gun background checks for up to 180 days. But in 2003, Congress began requiring that the records be destroyed within 24 hours. This requirement, one of the many restrictions on gun data sponsored by Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-Kan.), meant that Hasan’s investigators were blocked from searching records to determine whether he or other terrorist suspects had purchased guns.

“Yes, Special Agent Clusterfuck, what is it?”

“Well, Director Numbskull, there’s this muslim who’s been praising suicide bombers, urging muslims everywhere to rise up against the U.S., trying to convert patients in his care to jihad and corresponding with one of al-Qaeda’s more notorious ‘advisors’…”

“Has he ever bought a gun?”

“Can’t say. The data is not available to us.”

“OK then. Nothing to see here. Move along.”

As former FBI agent Brad Garrett has said, “The piece of information about the gun could have been critical. One of the problems is that the law sometimes restricts you in what you can do.”

When you’re done covering your arse, you’ll feel really stupid realizing that you forgot to pull your head out of it first, you know.

The Tiahrt amendments passed by Congress interfere with preserving, sharing and investigating data on gun purchases by terrorist suspects.

Oh yes. His Imperial Majesty remembers it well. Mr. Tiahrt specifically mentioned “in order to prevent the FBI from investigating data on gun purchases by terrorist suspects” in the initial draft of the bill.

If that weren’t bad enough,

What? You making up shit by pulling it out of your ample arse?

Congress has also failed to close a gap in federal law that prevents the FBI from blocking a sale to an individual under investigation for terrorist activity.

The Bush administration asked Congress to authorize the FBI to block gun sales to terrorist suspects, to no avail. Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder reaffirmed the Obama administration’s support for this legislation — for good reason.

The main reason being the new guidelines from the Dept of Homeland Gleichschaltung, under which anybody who goes to church regularly, votes anything but Democrat and shows even the slightest allegiance to the Constitution is a “terrorist threat”, whereas muslims with al-Qaeda bigwigs on their Yahoo Messenger friends list are absolutely, positively untouchable and beyond suspicion.

A Government Accountability Office report published in June found that individuals on the terrorist watch list had purchased guns and explosives from licensed dealers in the United States on 865 occasions over the past five years.

How did they find that? Didn’t you just tell us that the awful Tiahrt Amendment is the one thing responsible for the FBI’s inactivity in the Hasan “investigation” because it’s impossible, impossible to get that data?

The fatal lesson we learned on Sept. 11 was that, if we are going to protect innocent Americans from terrorists, we must break down the walls standing between federal agencies and effective investigative practices.

Maybe we could start, instead, by repealing Rule Number One of terrorist “investigations” which currently reads: “When investigating activities or suspected activities hitherto committed exclusively by muslim men between 20-44 years of age, you must under NO circumstances investigate any muslim male between the age of 20 and 44.”

The attack at Fort Hood was a tragic reminder that such walls still exist.

Your existence is a tragic reminder that eugenicists, while utterly abhorrent, immoral human beings, may still be on to something.

Until Congress shows the political courage to tear them down, there will be more catastrophic breaches of national security and more tragic loss of life. If lawmakers fail to close gaps in the background check system and reform the Tiahrt amendments, the next terrorist shooting on American soil will be shocking, but it will not be surprising.

Yep, that’s it. The Tiahrt amendments caused 9/11. No doubt about it. Maybe you can start a movement, Bloomturd, even get your own website and a following of deranged, subretarded knuckledraggers who’ll beclown themselves in public with ridiculous slogans and posters every chance they get.

Wait, you already have that, don’t you? We believe they’re called “nutroots.”

I will quote you on that, with a solid indeed. Had anyone on site been armed, this shit would not have gone near so far.

But of course! An inanimate object that sits on your nighstand convinces you through logic and reason to go kill as many of your brothers in arms as possible just ’cause.

But the al-Qaeda brain trust you have been corresponding with for months has absolutely no effect on your thinking. Riiiight.

That’s a theory so absurd that only a liberal intellectual, an elected official or an FBI agent would think it valid. It seems to me that in a country where it’s legal to carry a weapon that the FBI(Fools,Boobs and Imbeciles) would assume he had a weapon especially with the absolutely clear adherence to our enemies agenda.

LOBO is correct, if the soldiers were at least able to carry their side arms the death toll would have been maybe two. Hasan’s first victim and Hasan. Of course the other casualty is the FBI”s credibility as an investigative unit. They either can’ t or are more likely ordered to overlook anything that has to do with the relationship of islam to terrorist acts. If some soldier had been doing something similar on a Tea Party site they probably would have gotten an FBI anal probe because as has been asserted by that superfluous sow Janet Napolitano people who question the validity of government action vis a vis the constitution are dangerous potential domestic terrorists.

Islam is a death cult. It has been from the day Muhammed took the brown acid or whatever he took to dream up this clusterfuck of a “faith”.

The driving force behind these attacks is a literal interpretation of islam. It’s so obvious Stevie Wonder could see it. These same people who don’t think islam is the cause are the ones who don’ t think the Constitution means what it says.

These are the same people who make apologies for the muslim community and say these murdering goons don’t represent “true islam”. This way the muslims never have to declare themselves against the so called radicals.

The apologists give them plausible deniabilty in case the jihadists do win,

“No Achmed I was with you all the time it was that stupid jew Bloomberg making all those pronouncements about not being true islam, Taqqiyah rules! Boy, I fooled him. Death to the infidel”

Then they beat the dead meme of the mythical “backlash against muslims” . It took that stupid bint Janet Napolitano only thirteen seconds longer to get out than it took the FBI to declare this not terrorism. BTW if the muslims want to avoid the mythical “backlash” against their oh so peaceful “religion”/governmental system perhaps one of those mythical moderate imams can stand up and give a condemnation of these acts by members without then nullifying it by inserting the word “but”.

While the stupidity of government officials is somwhere near infinite I fear it is also being supplemented by the cowardice of careerism(agents and managers in the Bureau) and willful obfuscation by the elected and their political appointees. The latter who’s every policy is aimed at weakening our ability to fight this scourge Disingenuously implying that they are on the side of right and the rule of law. Look who they cozy up to and how they ignore 230 years of law on a whim.

Absolutely 100 percent correct! If only one of those in uniform had been allowed to carry a firearm this situation may very well have had a different, happier ending. “Terrorist Asshole Meets 72 Virgins” or something like that.

Oh, yeah! Holder has already taken steps to get the Tiahrt Amendment repealed… with his lips wrapped firmly around Schumer’s shriveled schlong.

    Senator Schumer:

“There are restrictions on even notification, so for instance the people in one end of the justice system, the Joint Terrorism Task force, were not notified when Major Hasan bought a gun. That’s not talking about whether the law should allow it or not, but clearly there should be notification. Now the Tiahrt amendment, the 24 background check requirement gets in the way of that. My question is: Will the Justice Department remove the Tiahrt 24 hour background check destruction requirement from its 2011 budget to allow the FBI to keep records of guns purchased by subjects of terrorist inquiries? I am just limiting it to that issue, like Major Hasan.”

    AG Holder:

“The position of the Administration is that there should be a basis for law enforcement to share information about gun purchases. Fully respect the Second Amendment, fully respect the Heller decision. It does not seem to us that this is inconsistent to allow law enforcement agencies to share that kind of information, for that information to be retained and then to be shared by law enforcement.”

    Senator Schumer:

“I would encourage you to write that into the budget that you are going to bring to us.”

    AG Holder:

“I believe it is. But I will have to check.”

They’re using this as an excuse to create a de facto gun registration system in the United States! I say we start a registration system of all Muslim swine (redundant, I know).

    LOBO

The oath is in the heart, not in the physical action. If you feel you need it, if I can make it to Texas next year I would be proud to witness for you. But, you must understand that it is not needed.

The Oath is not a promise to someone else, it is a commitment you make to yourself. Live it, believe it and you can stick up that LC anytime you want.

Although there are many of us around here that lived the Uniformed life that went with that oath, not all did!

It is a commitment of the heart and soul, not a physical action.

You either get it or you don’t and I think you do!

    My $0.02! :em04:

  24. 24

LOBO, what LC Old Dog said.

As a member of the Armed Forces, you are required to take it. As a naturalized citizen, you are required to take it. In my mind, as a citizen you should be required to take it before getting your voting rights, but it is not so.

However, you are not required to be a warrior or a naturalized citizen to make the commitment. You can make it of your own free will because you desire to, and that desire speaks volumes about your worth as a person and a citizen of this great nation of ours.

Know this, however, that once you take the Oath, you are forever bound by it. There are no outs, there are no exceptions. Once you pledge your life and your sacred honor to it, you can never, ever renege on it without losing your status as a man of honor, and a man without honor is not a man at all. He is an animal, shunned by men, unworthy of the skin he inhabits. To slay him would be no crime, for he is not human.

And you make that oath before G-d, who is the only witness you need, for His is the final judgment, you cannot escape it.

But if you desire mortal witnesses, I would be honored to be one, and I would be honored to welcome you as a brother.

Just know that if you take that step, there is no going back. Because just as surely as I would give my life to protect you if you were true to your word, I would not hesitate to strike you down if you betrayed it.

I say this not because I doubt you, for I do not, but to make clear to you what kind of commitment you are thinking about making.

That you take the vow seriously enough to put constraints on yourself, I beleive makes you worthy of the title of LC.
