Useless Nitwits Ends War, Declares it Illegal

…or something similarly stupid, which is what we’ve come to expect from that international crime cartel.

UNITED NATIONS — A U.N. human rights investigator warned the United States Tuesday that its use of unmanned warplanes to carry out targeted executions may violate international law.

“International law?” There it is again. We keep hearing about it but, try as we might, we’ve never been able to answer these two simple questions: Who sits on the legislature that wrote that law and, more importantly, when did we get to vote? Until those two questions are answered satisfactorily, this “international law” of which you speak has as much standing in the Empire as Chris Matthews’ Christmas wish list.

Philip Alston said that unless the Obama administration explains the legal basis for targeting particular individuals and the measures it is taking to comply with international humanitarian law which prohibits arbitrary executions, “it will increasingly be perceived as carrying out indiscriminate killings in violation of international law.”

Oh, but they’re not “indiscriminate”, not at all. We are quite discriminating in who we choose to send to Hell, courtesy of high explosives or whatever else happens to be at hand at the time. Anybody who pisses us off, basically. Unless we’re bored and there’s nothing on TV. What can we say? We like playing with buttons.

And how can you say with such, for lack of a more descriptive word, “authority” that our highly discriminating tastes in bumping off vermin are “in violation of international law” when we can’t even get a blooming copy of said law, no matter how much we ask? The only thing we know about it is based on inference, which tells us that things in violation of it translates to “anything the United States does.” Based on that, you might want to print it on two-ply. It would at least have some practical use if you did.

Alston, the U.N. Human Rights Council’s investigator on extrajudicial, summary and arbitrary executions, raised the issue of U.S. Predator drones in a report to the General Assembly’s human rights committee and at a news conference afterwards, saying he has become increasingly concerned at the dramatic increase in their use, especially in Afghanistan and Pakistan, since June.

We find it very touching that you’re so concerned about our use of drones against mass-murdering, terrorist freaks. So touching, in fact, that we looked up the GPS coordinates for that big eyesore at Turtle Bay. For some reason.

He said the U.S. response — that the Geneva-based council and the General Assembly have no role in relation to killings during an armed conflict — “is simply untenable.”

The deuce you say. And what are you going to do about it? Cry on us?

“That would remove the great majority of issues that come before these bodies right now,” Alston said.

That’s sort of the whole point, but thanks for noticing. There’s a reason why we refer to you as the Useless Nitwits.

“The onus is really on the government of the United States to reveal more about the ways in which it makes sure that arbitrary executions, extrajudicial executions are not, in fact, being carried out through the use of these weapons.”

Onus? We’ve got an onus right here for you. Filled with HE and tungsten-tipped. We’ll be happy to give it back to you. No, don’t worry about shipping charges. We’ll take care of delivery.

“What we need then is the U.S. to be more up front and say ‘OK, we’re prepared to discuss some aspects of this program,'” he said.

What we need is for useless, clusterfucked cockblisters like yourself to shut the heck up and quit bothering us with your effete, pointless grandstanding. We don’t need to discuss jack shit with the likes of you friends of Osama, nor are we inclined to do so under any circumstances not involving you strapped into a chair with high voltage lines clamped on to your genitals.

Which you’d probably enjoy, you sick, metrosexual meat sack.

Alston said the U.S. should provide details on use of drones, disclose what precautions it takes to ensure the unmanned aircraft are used strictly for purposes consistent with international humanitarian law, and what measures exist to evaluate what happened when their weapons have been used.

Oh sure. We’ll be ever so eager to share classified intel with the friends of our enemies. Heck, why don’t we announce it to your assembly of murdering tinpot dictators two days in advance of a strike? What could possibly go wrong?

When you’re done preening for the Tehran Daily, would you mind crawling back into the basement again? We still have experiments to do, and there is only so much you can get a standard lab rat to do. Thanks.

“Otherwise, you have the really problematic bottom line — which is that the Central Intelligence Agency is running a program which is killing significant numbers of people, and there is absolutely no accountability in terms of the relevant international laws,” he said.

That’s not “problematic”, that’s a feature.

Not to mention that “relevant international law” is so much of an oxymoron that we’ve had to assign our entire Imperial R&D staff to the suddenly pressing issue of keeping the space-time continuum from ripping apart as a result of you using those words in proximity of each other.

Now would somebody please get that lunatic back in his restraints?

Thank you.

Thatisall.

Is there such a thing as a tactical suitcase nuke? Just about a 4 city block size?

Just leave it outside of DJ’s residence. What are the GPS co-ordinates again? Poor misguided liberoool. Must be sad to go through life bent over a chair all the time with a pocket full of condoms.

The relevant treaties that you are groping for DJ is the Law of Land Warfare. You know that body of international treaties generally (and not totally correctly) referred to as the Geneva Accords.

Notice that the Useless Nitwit ever mentions the fact the the UAV’s are in fact piloted vehicles. They do not drop or fire by robotic pre-programmed means. This places them squarely in the same category as a fully manned aircraft. We are not required under any treaty to which the US is signatory to provide any targeting data about operations of any piloted aircraft.

The UN is upset because they are being to effective against their Raghead buddies.

Old Dog’s right, they all get called clear from a bunch of folks whose careers ride on the accuracy and effectiveness of each engagement.

If they could mumble one single scrib’ that tells us just how incapable they are of understanding the whole scenario, that they don’t understand that a war, is a war, is a war,,, and this is a war, this is it:

“The onus is really on the government of the United States to reveal more about the ways in which it makes sure that arbitrary executions, extrajudicial executions are not, in fact, being carried out through the use of these weapons.”

Or,, the want to disarm an effective weapon.
    They want us to die.
We, are , NOT, ok with that.

We need to stop with targeted strikes from predator drones and carpet bomb and/or nuke entire valleys, villages, towns and cities in order to take out those few individuals who are mostly responsible for the mass murders committed in the name of allah. I am sure that will make the UN and DJ feel much better. :em41:

All nations have a long list of very rich histories of using treaties as toilet papers especially when those treaties starts encroaching on their laws and sovereignty . Honestly, the UN have no power on it’s member states unless those member states foolishly turn over their sovereign rights to govern and rule to the UN . In fact, the only true function of the UN is to mediate countries from going to war or stop any conflicts between member states.

The UN had failed it’s purpose and it’s flawed charter, the UN should be abolished , all the contributions collected from the member states should be returned to them and every middle to high ranking UN official and bureaucrats should be investigated and if found guilty, be tarred and feathered and shot and their bodies left to rot under the sun in their respective countries .

The UN had lost it’s way since after the Korean war and it brought untold misery to millions of people for the sake of bribes and ideology.

The Useless Nitwits probably think that they can weaken us by turning this into another Vietnam by insisting that we can’t pursue attacking individuals across the border into Cambodia,, er,, Pakistan.

Hot pursuits know no borders in war.

i would bet the real concern here is that no matter how many uav’s are shot down the pilots are unharmed. since we risk nothing more than equipment we have an “unfair” advantage over the scumsuckers being targeted. the people being targeted by this method are not covered under the Geneva nor are they heads of state so it is open season, much like a sniper taking out a target who has no means of retaliation.

We (the US) need to rethink our strategy. I would start by informing the UN that since they feel we are a rogue nation, we’re going to pull all US forces out of UN military adventures. We should also inform Europe at the same time that we’re closing all those bases we have out there, since without being in the UN we have no further need of them. Then we should stop all funding to the organization (Isn’t it funny that both the mob and the UN can be called an “organization”) and repatriate all property (like that big building in NYC) to the US.

We’re supposed to give up the cannon fodder every time they get a bug up their ass, but when we’re visciously attacked, and when the terrorists consistently ratchet up the rhetoric about destroying us (yes, I include the iranian government with the terrorists) we’re supposed to just roll over and take it. Screw ’em and the horse they rode in on.

The treaty law provision in the Articles of the Constitution is over-ridden by any Amendment … so calm down.

Concerning targeting civilian leaders individually with ordinance: Bill Clinton started that one with his Kosovo Doctrine … heh.

Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that an organization that represents asshole third world dictators wants to make individually targeting asshole third world dictators a warcrime.

They are Remotely Piloted Vehicles, save for the same mid-cruise auto-pilot controls used by every manned aircraft they are under Pilot control at all times. lc purple raider says:

The UN had lost it’s way since after the Korean war and it brought untold misery to millions of people for the sake of bribes and ideology.

Actually, in the Korean War, the UN were asking for our battle plans, and handing them right over to the Chi-Comms and the Norks.

Did the same thing in Vietnam.

All of our military operations had to be forwarded by radio to the Soviet Commander of the United Nations Security Council at the United Nations Building, New York City, for approval before our forces went into action against the North Koreans and Red Chinese. The Soviet Commander of the United Nations Security Council delayed the battle plans until he used the radios in the United Nations Building in New York to relay all our “battle planning information” to Moscow, North Korea and Red China.

The enemy then contacted and relayed these same battle plans to their communist forces in the field. The enemy knew when to move from an area and when to attack our smaller fighting forces. They knew beforehand when we were coming and how many of us there were. They knew everything about us all the time – 24 hours a day!!!

I later found this same form of “treason” was used against our forces in the Vietnam War. All information regarding “every battle plan in Vietnam” was given to the North Vietnamese, Soviets (Advisors), and Viet Cong Troops in the field DURING THE ENTIRE WAR. The enemy knew our every move at all times.

Of course they denied ever having done such a vile act, but of course being marxists, they had lied all about it.
