Those Evil Nasty Capitalist Corporations And Why We Love Them

Because you for damn sure would never catch the Gubmint operated US Postal Service pulling a stunt like this.

WARNING: Dusty Room Alert

Because of caring people and a caring company, a terminally ill little Green Forest girl was flown home Friday by air ambulance from M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, so she can spend her last days surrounded by the people who love her most.

Yep. Those evil capitalists have hearts. I’m sure though that they will get a nasty letter from Nanny Piglosi for daring to show it.

Friday afternoon, Jada was flown home to the Ozarks — on a gurney, attached to the machine that breathes for her. FedEx Freight paid the $11,000 bill for the special medical flight her family was unable to afford.

One reason this article caught my eye was because Jada was receiving treatment at M.D. Anderson. My Dad went there for his cancer treatment…and like Jada, they were not able to save him. He died 7 years ago today. I just wish that we had been able to get him home to the rest of the family. Fortunately thanks to some caring people, Jada will be surrounded by all of her family when her time comes.

Now…you name me one single Government operated clusterf*ck that would even consider doing this without the thought of charging the family for it? Military doesn’t count.

Beuller? Beuller?

I for one will not be complaining about Fed-Ex shipping charges any time soon.

A Fed-Ex driver that lives around here lost his leg in a non-work related traffic accident a few years ago. I was impressed by the way the company took care of one it’s own, when the company picked up the bill for two nights in hotel for the guys wife…… it sold me on them.

I’ve rarely been anything but impressed by that company. And it’s primarily due to that “evil caaaaaapitalism”. Show heart, provide a good service, you gain and keep your customer base.

God bless the people at FedEx that made this happen!

And here we see the most important reason that government not only should, but must be kept out of “charity” and restricted to its Constitutional sphere–real charity actually works, without bureaucracy, without politics, without corruption, because it is genuine. Get the gummint involved and it all goes to hell, because it’s no longer charity, it’s no longer really a moral or humane enterprise–it’s robbery.

Money and resources not required for gummint’s constitutional duties are not the gummint’s to demand or to misappropriate to buy votes for those currently in power. Read the Davy Crockett speech, “Not Yours to Give” (can’t vouch for the hosting org–but the speech is the real deal). What about, “NO” do our politicians not understand?!

The girl profits from being with her parents during her final days on the outermost layer of Hell.

The parents profit from being able to spend this time with her, sculpting her biological series finale in whatever way they wish (as best as something like that can be sculpted).

FedEx profits from the PR, as well as the various endorphins released within the brains of those individuals involved with this magnificent epic.

Some of these individuals will hear a catchy song for the first time, or some other unique sensory input, which will henceforth remind them of this event. A small amount of endorphins may be triggered by this memory several years down the line, as a physiochemical form of time-release profit.

I profit from noting that some of those chemicals qualify as C-1 narcotics, and there’s nothing the DEA can do about it. :em99:

Once again, we see that profit makes the world go ’round.

I would expect nothing less from a company founded by a Marine. I’ve always liked their service, now they have a customer for life.

At this juncture I believe that every member of congress should have to read the “Not Yours to Give” speech. A few of them might actually start to understand the Constitution has its limits. Oh hell, who am I kidding? We’re talking about a mass of Libtards aren’t we?

Well done to all involved and good luck to her family.
