“Wise Latina Woman” Perhaps Not So Wise At All?

in spite of her obvious, innate, hereditary super-qualifications when compared with other, less wise ethnic groups:

The Supreme Court has ruled that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

So an overtly racist appeals court judge gets her racist decision overturned by the very court to which she seeks appointment?

Gee, that’s not a good omen, is it?

And we’re with Scalia again: Could we please quit babbling about quotas, reparations and “social justice” and instead leave the matter of equality to the 14th Amendment, the way that Amendment was intended?

Of course we can’t. The race-baiting demagogues of the NSDWP need that wholly invented conflict going in order to keep their divide and conquer strategy going.

While the rest of America suffers as a result of their racist idiocy.

Thatisall.

Let’s face it, this goes beyond race. Liberals need America divided and at each other’s throats in order to bring about their utopia. Liberty, e pluribus unum, and In God We Trust have to be replaced with the nanny state, diversity, and in government we trust. Perpetuating racial tensions in this country keeps us distracted and in perpetual conflict with one another. Thus our holy and benevolent government can swoop in an enforce racial equity and cement their hold over yet another aspect of our society. We children, we unwashed masses, can’t even get along between races so Sotomayor needs to come in and tell us how to behave.

Very, very good decision, puts a smile on my face. Now I wish she (or BO) would just withdraw her nomination.

She’s in already, it’s a done deal. They’ve already airbrushed the topic from what I have heard on the radio. It’s a good decision (for once), but we’re still going to get a bad decision maker on the court which will make appropriate rulings even rarer.

    JUSTICE SCALIA, concurring.
I join the Court’s opinion in full, but write separately to observe that its resolution of this dispute merely post-pones the evil day on which the Court will have to confront the question: Whether, or to what extent, are the disparate impact provisions of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 consistent with the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection? The question is not an easy one……The Court’s resolution of these cases makes it unnecessary to resolve these matters today. But the war between disparate impact and equal protection will be waged sooner or later, and it behooves us to begin thinking about how—and on what terms—to make peace between them.

And guess whose watch the war will be held on? O’Bummer’s. Reverse discrimination is the new reality, and soon it will be set in concrete.

I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.

Well, that stupid quote of Sotomayor’s made Hubby pretty pissed off, until one day he realized he not only agreed with it, he put it into practice.

Everytime the kids ask him for something, he says, “Go ask your mother.” 😀

In other news, the Arizona Civil Rights Initiative has been cleared to go on the AZ ballot for 2010.

I can only hope this is a good omen.

It’s worth pointing out that even the dissenters of the 5-4 decision noted that Sotomayor screwed up by treating the case as a non-issue.

This is just like that evil Supreme Court in Honduras and will be overruled by the omnipotent HExecutive. We all need to remember our oaths.
