Distractions

One of the things that His Imperial Majesty has found really tiresome about the post-Obamessiah’s Ascension situation is the massive campaign of distraction run by the Obamedia in order to divert the already minuscule attention span of the average American voter from the constant string of fuckups by the Teleprompter in Chief. Not a day goes by without him and his clown circus mis-administration screwing up massively again as in pissing off our major allies, sucking up to our sworn enemies, planning to destroy the economy further than he already has, flip-flopping on every single issue that got his ignorant ward heel arse elected etc. etc., yet all we hear about in the Obamedia is the “danger” from “right wing extremist tea-baggers” (whose only affront so far has been daring to exercise their freedom of speech to express their dissent, something that used to be “the highest form of patriotism” when a Republican lived on 1600 Penn Ave) and a Greek wailing choir of freshly manufactured “conservatives” all calling for the GOP to solve their lack of voter support by becoming the dhimmicrat party.

This is all to be expected, of course. They’re the enemy and they’re only behaving as an enemy would, should and, indeed, must if he is to harbor any hope of winning.

Where it becomes truly annoying and insulting to the Imperial Intelligence is when supposedly intelligent conservatives jump into the fray and start dancing to the Obamedia Piper’s tune. We shan’t name names, the ones in question know who they are, and by not calling anybody out, we deny the ones not named the satisfaction of convincing themselves that their behavior has gone unnoticed, but the chorus of morons howling that the only way to save conservative values is for the GOP to throw them out and become socialists is making an infernally disagreeable din, and we wish they’d just save us all some time by ending the pretense and going Arlen Specter, which is all they really want to do.

There is one name that we have to name, though, but that’s only because that one person has now officially jumped the shark and gone off the deep end into pure insanity. It’s no secret that Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has long had a problem with seeing neo-Nazis and Christofascists everywhere. As to the latter we really don’t care since we’ve always found anti-theists desperate to come up with ever so “clever” ways of “sticking it in the eye” of Christians more pathetically amusing than anything else. G-d surely doesn’t care, so we won’t either.

What His Imperial Majesty has found disturbing, and we’re not even at the “jumping the shark” moment yet, is his vulnerability to Euroweenie propaganda regarding anybody over there who isn’t a dyed-in-the-wool multi-culti transnational socialist. When somebody in Eunuchistan, and we should know, having been born and raised there, dares utter a word in defiance of the statist gospel, a torrent of allegations of Nazi sympathies spring up all over the media, almost as if they were planned. They aren’t, really, it’s just the Pavlovian reflex of a press that has been conditioned over decades to never question the statist creed and to know, know that anybody who does so is a dangerous extremist Nazi racist who is quite possibly insane too.

All standard operating procedure over there, and Charles has swallowed it hook, line and sinker every single time with a gullibility that not even the most indoctrinated of Eunuchistani subjects can muster. Every single time some European has stood up against the Islamification of Europe the Eunuch press has unloaded a deluge of filth, slander, allegations and half-truths about him or her, and every single time Charles has jumped on the bandwagon without as much as an “of course, that’s what they say.”

Don’t get us wrong, we can’t hold anybody in low regard for being extremely sensitive to the possibility of actual extremists, racists and neo-Nazis infiltrating a good cause, our native country was occupied and ill-used by the genocidal, fascist bastards for five long years and, if anything, we think the “de-Nazification” of Europe after WWII didn’t go far enough. Their camps were still there, after all, so why not put them to good use for once before burning them to the ground? No, we’re not kidding, we really hate them that much.

But, but, one might occasionally, when one sees a sudden, synchronized, “spontaneous” eruption of allegations against a political dissident all over the media remember the words “consider the source” and “qui bono?” Charles never has, instead he promptly throws the individual under the bus along with anybody who has ever been caught saying a sympathetic word about him. We remember one particularly “funny” case about a German politician, we forget the name, who was allegedly a Nazi because he, while in a German pub, lifted his hand displaying two fingers or some such nonsense. According to the politician, he was ordering two beers (imagine that, in a pub!!!), but according to the press that was a covert neo-Nazi salute. Who knows? Maybe it was, but under the bus he went. Vlaams Belang, Gates of Vienna, the list is long and it’s getting crowded underneath there.

So what about that shark we were talking about? Oh, right… We forgot…

Let’s leave Europe behind and return to our own shores: The latest person to be thrown under Charles’ bus is, wait for it, Glenn Beck. Why, we hear you ask? Because Glenn, apparently, is inciting to violence or, at the very least is damn near to doing so, and that’s something that Charles just cannot abide by.

Nor can we, to be honest, but in Glenn’s case his “incitement” consists of having a liberal nutjob present at one of his meetings, a planted freak joking about “burning the books.”

We’ll let Glenn respond:

Apparently this whole Google thing is too darn complicated and, besides, we can’t keep the bus waiting.

Snark aside, this is really more saddening than it is infuriating. Anybody who has followed and read LGF since the aftermath of 9/11 will have to admit that Charles did and in many ways continue to do one heck of a job exposing the “religion of peace” for what it really is. A heck of a job in that he just reported the news from over there that somehow weren’t “fit to print” over here, with the occasional comment on it.

But something weird happened along the road.

Hey, we’re on the same side here, so could we focus on the ball instead of engaging in paranoid purges of our own ranks at the drop of a hat? To be sure, if we do find freaks, fascists, racists and Nazis trying to snuggle up to us, give them the boot, no apologies or reservations there, but sometimes a banana really is just a banana, you know.

Glenn Beck “inciting to violence”…

Sheesh.

Enough of our rambling, thatisall.

Everybody here is entitled to their own opinions as you all know, but I didn’t intend for this post to be a bash Charles thread. If anything, I’m profoundly saddened by the way things have gone over there compared to the immense good that site has done in the past and, I might add, still continues to do when the “Nazis and Christians in my soup” paranoia is put aside.

That’s just silly, but I’m sure I have my own silly hobby horses too that annoy the everloving crap out of people, so who am I to judge?

    It’s not the point.

The point IS that the loony left are setting the boundaries for what can and cannot be uttered, they’re defining what’s “reasoned debate” and what’s not and it drives me nuts to see people I respect buy into it and attempt to win the game by playing by their rules, rules that the crazed nutjob left never had any intentions of following themselves.

It’s like challenging somebody to a duel, then letting him load up your pistol for you with blanks while getting you to agree to paint a big bloody bull’s eye on your own chest.

I expect it from Idiotarians. I do NOT expect it from intelligent people like Charles who have, and there’s no denying it, in the past kicked those same loony leftists in the nuts in ways that would make a grizzly whimper and squeal like a beat puppy.

I don’t know what makes that happen, I detest Internet “Psychologists”, I just know that it’s stupid, that the only thing you get out of playing by your opponent’s rules is a kick in the nuts.

If we let our enemies frame the debate, then we’ve already lost, particularly since they couldn’t give a shit about that frame themselves and have no intentions of doing so. All they want is for us to waste our time fighting among ourselves because it’ll keep us too busy to fight them and, at this point, they’re succeeding.

I disagree with Charles on the tack he’s taking right now, I think he’s hurting us like Hell falling for this obvious leftist plot, but we’re not helping either by making it all about him.

    Again, that’s what they WANT.

Wake up, people. We’ve got a real enemy here. Let’s focus on hurting HIM. If some people in our own ranks fuck up, and we’re ALL prone to do so from time to time, let’s not waste time and energy on beating them up, that’s just treating the symptoms, let’s hit the disease instead.

Because that disease is killing our Republic and, I don’t know about you, but if that Republic fails, then I really don’t give a flying fuck about who is to blame for its downfall, that’s nothing but semantics and it won’t change anything a bit.

    Cut out the tumor instead.

If we don’t, we’re all dead, no matter what.

How ironic, really. In a post lamenting our own idiotic internecine in-fighting, I end up starting another one.

I suppose we were all better off when I just kept my mouth (keyboard) shut.

Muzzy – you have it totally wrong. What the GOP is doing is still ignoring their base – conservatives. And conservatives will stay home just at they did in the last election. The numbers proved that.

But my point is that the base should be ignored during a general election. The base are guaranteed to vote for their party. They may say they’ll stay at home but when push comes to shove they can always be counted on to grit their teeth and trudge down to the polling station to cast their vote for their party. That’s why pandering to the base at the expense of courting moderates is such a bad idea. In American elections, the moderates and independents always choose the winner.

She certainly did terrify people. What’s more, so did her enraptured followers. National Review’s Kathleen Parker was forced to resign due to death threats after writing an article pointing out Palin’s lack of intellectual heft. Immediately subsequent to that, Christopher Buckley resigned saying:

“I am—drum roll, please, cue trumpets—making this announcement in the cyberpages of The Daily Beast (what joy to be writing for a publication so named!) rather than in the pages of National Review, where I write the back-page column. For a reason: My colleague, the superb and very dishy Kathleen Parker, recently wrote in National Review Online a column stating what John Cleese as Basil Fawlty would call “the bleeding obvious”: namely, that Sarah Palin is an embarrassment, and a dangerous one at that. She’s not exactly alone. New York Times columnist David Brooks, who began his career at NR, just called Governor Palin “a cancer on the Republican Party.””

He was far from alone. Ken Adelman and Colin Powell both cited Palin as a reason why they were voting for Obama. Two weeks before the election polls revealed the majority of voters didn’t think she would qualified to be President if the need arose – cite.

    :em72:
Except, Muzzy, a lot of the Republican base did not vote for the Republican party. As has been stated before, a lot of us voted for the ticket “Whatshisname/Palin”. If Palin had not been on that ticket, McCain would have received even fewer votes than he did. OldDude ignored the base on securing the southern border, on amnesty for illegal aliens, and on a whole raft of other issues…and he paid for it.
As for Kathleen Parker and Christopher Buckley: so what? How did the press treat previous elections? Did anyone besides the right-leaning to right blogs mention that AlGore flunked out of Divinity School? That in another University he got a final grade of C- in physical sciences? Nope. AlGore was the Saviour of the Earth and the final word on the environment. AlGore was scary. Well, he was scary because he was too stupid to be funny. Even during the last election, how many main stream outlets pointed out that Sarah Palin had more executive experience than Teh One? All you heard was that she did not have enough executive experience to be vice-President. No, Sarah Palin did not scare the people, at least people who had enough brains to read what she had accomplished and what she stood for.
The biggest embarrassments are pseudo-conservatives like Kathleen Parker and Christopher Buckley who have been captured by the belt-way establishment just like McCain.

You DO make an interesting point, albeit inadvertently, that Charles Johnson is definitely a distraction to conservatives who are trying to find common ground and collect themselves into a relevant coalition against this recent strain of Liberal Flu. The Republican party was once referred to as an umbrella under which any kind of conservative could stand. Charles, and his loathing of “social conservatives”, among other things, are a threat to splinter such efforts.
The remedy is to give the man his due for his past patriotic acts, recognize that he has gone back to his liberalism and is no longer the “go-to” conservative, and move on – leaving him and his blog in the dust. When he’s no longer relevant in numbers, those conservatives he reviles can feel comfortable to come back under the umbrella.

I just read DeMint’s article. I agree with what he said; but I cannot abide the term “Big Tent”.
I understand that it’s a political party and cannot be a rigid, monolithic, set of absolutes — there has to be some allowance for differing views on some issues. But that’s not really saying anything other than providing a definition of what a political party is. In one sense it’s tautological.
But, in another sense, when people talk about a “Big Tent” what they’re really suggesting is a “Bigger” Tent. That is, allowing so many widely varying views that core principles get watered down to the point that there are no core principles anymore. The problem with the Republican party is that their “Tent” is too big. Core principles are ignored or nonexistent. Becoming more like Democrats will lose more elections for Republicans, not less.
The rest of DeMint’s article almost belies his use of the term “Big Tent”. Even so, I’ve actually lost a little respect for him, just for using the term — and thereby attempting to mollify RINOs and psuedo-conservatives. (Fuck them, I says)

What other rotties have taught me is priceless, most of all the knowing that I am not alone…..far and away the most unusual, knowledgeable, wisest people I have ever known.
And yes, I watch my wife closely…not that has ever been difficult, mind you….

I only occasionally post comments to this site, and typically, those comments are to speak the truth that so many of you are not willing to speak. VIOLENCE, DEATH, BLOOD, are all simply entries into every “National” beginning, or if you will excuse the poor use of grammar, “re-beginning” throughout the history of time. WHY DON’T ALL OF YOU WAKE THE F**K UP AND SEE WHAT’S COMMIN’ DOWN THE F***ING PIKE?!?! Glenn’s slip of the tongue, if you read anything about “speech” and “meaning” when he’s talking about FOX “not” wanting to see violence, reads loud and clear to me. Oh yeah, there IS change coming. IN MY COUNTRY, YOU DON’T BROADCAST COMMERCIALS SHOWING BETTER FOOD FOR YOUR F***ING ANIMAL, THAN MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO EAT. IN MY COUNTRY, YOU DON’T MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR ME TO CHOOSE TO WEAR A SEAT BELT, AND YET, MAKE IT LEGAL FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO “CHOOSE” TO KILL THEIR UNBORN CHILD. IN MY COUNTRY, IF YOU ARE HERE AND IT IS AGAINST THE LAW OF MY COUNTRY, I’M F**KING SENDING YOU BACK TO THE ROCK YOU CRAWLED OUT FROM UNDER. IN MY COUNTRY, IF YOU COMMIT A VIOLENT CRIME AGAINST AN INNOCENT, YOU GET TO GO TO THE DEEPEST, DARKEST, DANKEST HOLE THAT THERE IS AND FOR THE REST OF YOUR MISBEGOTTEN LIFE, YOU GET TO SEE NOTHING BUT DARKNESS. BUT BOY, I’LL FEED YOU GOOD, CAUSE I WANT YOU TO LIVE FOR A LONG, LONG, LONG TIME IN ORDER TO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID. IN MY COUNTRY, WE WON’T GIVE “BILLIONS” OF DOLLARS TO PROP UP SOME FAILED FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, INSTEAD, WE WILL GIVE EACH EMPLOYEE APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK TO VACATE THE PREMISES, SO IT CAN BE BULLDOZED TO THE GROUND, FREEING UP SOME MUCH NEEDED SPACE. IN MY COUNTRY, WE ARE ALL FREE TO DO WHAT WE WANT, AS LONG AS “WE” ARE F**KING SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT FREEDOM WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY IS ONLY F**KING “ANARCHISM” AND IF YOU AREN’T SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT THAT’S ALL ABOUT, SEE ABOVE.

    Stop being pussies
