No, not really. Having read your response to Teh Won’s announcement that it’s time to subvert the democratic process and ram his HellCare Takeover through by “reconciliation”… By all means, stay on our turf. We’re moved, touched, need-a-smoke now after having read that broadside:

The cause is well known and it is just. When the alleged leader of a democratic republic places his own wishes so above those of the complete body politic, he is no longer worthy of the title, leader, no matter what office he might occupy.

Only a fool with no clear appreciation of, or for, America past and present, would dare undertake what this pustule in the White House is attempting to do. It is contingent upon the Republican Party to undertake every step, every maneuver it can to bring this government to a halt.

Mark our words, Ogabe: When a government has lost the consent of the governed, and every single damn poll regarding whether or not the governed want your shit sandwich shows that you’ve lost it, in spades, then that government is no longer legitimate. It is a regime, and it is not merely the right, it is the duty of all free men and women to remove said regime, by any means necessary.

The ball is now in DC’s court, which doesn’t exactly give us a lot of hope, considering the track record of those corrupt, self-serving, parasitical vermin, but you, Congress, are the last hope for all of us to get this fixed without it getting really, truly ugly.

We remind you of the oath you swore upon taking office. It is still binding, even though G-d knows that you probably don’t even remember it anymore. You are bound by that oath now to take Hussein the Narcissist and his cronies’ bill, wrap it around a baseball bat, wrap that in barbed wire and shove it down their throats so far it will take surgery to even find it again.

Because if you don’t, then we’ll have to remind you that there are a lot, millions of us out here, who DO take that oath seriously and you DON’T want to be on our shit list if you fail to honor it. You, and you alone at this point, can save our nation from a fate that none of us want, and you WILL be graded on your actions from hereon out, you WILL be held responsible for every ounce of pain our nation will go through if you fail to act and somebody else will have to act for you, and the consequences for you WILL be quite unpleasant.

We urge you to choose wisely.

The Obama administration will seek to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 during the Bush administration, Attorney General Eric Holder said today.

“As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Holder told reporters.

And so it begins.

You take away my “scary gun”, you take away my ability to defend myself. You take away my last line of defense against the theft of my liberty, the liberty of me and my family.

I’m afraid you’re going to have to come collect her yourself, and you would do well to bring friends. She’s very accurate, and I have absolutely no compunctions when it comes to killing communists. UPDATE: LC & IB Dick points out, quite correctly, that the article is a year old, for which we’re grateful, we hadn’t noticed that when we posted. It brought our blood pressure down by a few points. BUT it doesn’t change that we should keep this in mind, particularly when we’re told that the Oboonga assministration has no designs whatsoever on our 2nd Amendment rights.

They may not have been talking about it so much lately, but Holder and Oboonga is still in place and we very much doubt that their intentions have changed simply because they don’t mention them in public these days. One can hope, for their sakes, but we wouldn’t bet on it.

There are those in the Empire who know Jim Treacher, who blogged as “Mother may I sleep with Treacher?”. A political satirist in the same vein as IOWAHAWK, his deft skewerings have discomfited our enemies many times.

Now he has a new [paying!] gig at The Daily Caller [http://dailycaller.com/] with a blog called THE DC TRAWLER. The Daily Caller itself is no flash in the pan. It is run by Tucker Carlson, who is about as conservative/libertarian as the networks will allow on the air [not very, but you take what you can get, even on FOX News where he had a show] and he was a regular “Sunday Talking Head”.

Now that you have the background, on to the meat of the event.

Jim Treacher was the victim of a hit and run by a black SUV last night in Washington. The vehicle was identified by witnesses and the DC police as belonging to the Secret Service. Later information indicates that it may have been another Federal security agency. Here is what he says:

We of the Empire are a varied lot. But we do share one characteristic. We are NOT normal. “Normal” people do not pay all that much attention to what is going on outside the small sphere that is their life. Events intrude on their cozy little worlds, ambushing them, and they have no idea from whence the events came; or being in shock at the intrusion, of what to do to react. They stand like deer in the headlights, and not all of them react fast enough to survive.

We, on the other hand, watch what is going on around us. And we try to read signs, and to warn those who are not on watch. We are walking point, trying to detect the ambush; and trying to keep those behind from walking into the trap. In the process, we draw a lot of fire first. But we do it.

Why? Because we are Grey Tribe Sheepdogs, and we know that we are what stands between the Wolves and the Sheep. I admit that the metaphor gets visually jarring when you add in the streak of Browncoat in most of us; but the willingness to Misbehave to protect each other, our Pups, and our Sheep, and even by extension those Sheep of the Pink Tribe who are not too stupid to live is what defines us. We are genetically programmed to go for the Wolves of either Tribe.

We have been walking point politically, and looking for the signs of an ambush. The sad fact is our Sheep do not understand that elections have, up to now, had consequences. We may mistake something we spot as signs of an ambush ahead, but then again we may be spotting that we are all entering a kill zone. It is our job to prepare, to warn, and to try to save as many as possible of our Tribe.

There are several branches in the trail ahead that seem to be broken in un-natural ways, disturbances in the undergrowth that are not random. It is time to stop and read them, before the hinge swings closed.

A tipster tells me that the man who was pushing me outside of a Capitol Hill fundraiser Tuesday night for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley is Michael Meehan.

Meehan heads up a firm called Blue Line Strategic Communications along with his partner David DiMartino, who was outside the fundraiser with Coakley tonight and introduced himself to me there. The AP reported on Monday that Meehan is also working for Coakley: “The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging.”

Well, he’s certainly working hard on the “messaging”, isn’t he?

And, as His Majesty has previously mentioned, the fascist, thuggish behavior of Democrats will only end once an end is put TO it, if you know what we mean and we think that you do.

Remember: If you are assaulted, no matter by whom, you DO have the right to defend yourself.
