The Debauchery is over. Time to start fighting again.

I try to slack off and let someone else be wordy, and what happens? My guess is that the rest of the Management is so hung over that the sound of the keys being depressed on the keyboard is skull splitting. That might explain the emergency call for menudo to be delivered to the Dallas area.
I tend to hide during Round-Eye New Years, because it is dangerous; the amateur drunks being out and about. So I am still semi-operational [don't bet on that for Chinese New Years, though].
So, let us open the New Year with a call to arms.
Our hope for avoiding “interesting times” in the Chinese sense rests on the ballot box still being a valid option. Our choices at the ballot box are not encouraging. To be honest, the Republicans have been acting with a degree of incompetence that perforce must bring up the concept of deliberate betrayal. One has to wonder if they have cut a deal to be a tame “Opposition” party. Not a bad gig if you can get it. All the perks, wealth, and enough power over the proles to make it fun. And yet none of the responsibility as long as you do as you are told by the party in power. Of course, if the bargain goes bad and you suddenly become expendable …
When we think of 2010 and elections, we think of November. The chill up our spine comes from our memory of the ability the Institutional Republicans to deliberately snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
But there is another election this year, and it is a critical one.
Teddy Kennedy, pickled murderer and traitor to the country; if there is justice in the universe is being roasted over a slow fire on a spit, basted by Torquemada and tested for doneness by the Marquis de Sade. The Democrats, having whip-sawed Massachussetts election law from filling vacancies by election, then appointment, then election according to the needs of the Democratic Party; are finally having a special election for his seat.
Here is the kicker. If the Republicans take this election and Senate seat, that Liu2 kou3shui3 de5 biao3zi5 he2 hou2zi5 de5 ben4 er2zi5 who is the Senate Majority leader will no longer have 60 votes for cloture. I grant that there are a number of DIABLO’s such as the Maine Sisters, Lindsey Grahamnesty, Kay Bailey Harridan, and of course John “there is no need to fear a President Obama” McCain. They may still roll over on us, but if they do they will pay the price and that price may be the downfall of the Vichy Republicans.
Some say that there is no way that a Republican can win in a statewide election in Massachussetts. Count up their last few governors. For the first time in decades, there is not a member of the Kennedy dynasty running. Coakley, the Democrat, is not a loved figure in Massachussetts. In fact, she is not that well liked at all. And, Deo Gratia, in a way there IS a Kennedy running. There is a third party candidate named Joseph Kennedy [ABSOLUTELY no relation to the devil spawn who have been running things] on the ballot. What do you want to bet that a goodly part of the mind-numbed Democrat electorate will vote for him out of reflex?
The Republicans have a good candidate, State Senator Scott P. Brown. He is making this vote a referendum on Obamacare. The election is January 19. There is no way that the enemy can reconcil the House and Senate versions before he is seated if he wins. The reconciled bill will require a cloture vote. And we may be able to take away Reid’s 60th vote.
With this at stake, one would expect the Republican National Committee to be pouring resources into this fight. After all, we have momentum from Virginia and New Jersey. Yeah, we have momentum, and the Republican Party is doing their damnedest to kill it.
From what I understand, the National Republican Party, in a special election Senate race that could be vital for the survival of the Republic and the Constitution; has contributed the stunning sum of …… $50,000.
They gave DeDe Scozzafava, who ran far to the Left of the Democrats, over $1,000,000 for a congressional seat, and sent in Newt to campaign for her. We can depend on the National Republican Party to screw things up, and help the Democrats.
It is a waste to send money to the Party. Send it to candidates who will stand up and fight. It is called “disintermediation”.
*Disintermediation. n. Withdrawal of funds from intermediary financial institutions, such as banks and savings and loan associations, in order to invest in instruments yielding a higher return.
We are getting no yield from the National Republican Party in this race. We could be investing in a direct attempt to keep the ballot box from morphing into the cartridge box.
It is time to draw the line. It is time to fight with dollars, so we may not have to fight with bullets.
Here is Brown’s web site.
http://www.brownforussenate.com/
There you can contribute the money that the Republican Party will not.

Oorah!
Start fighting again?
I started the New Year with my finger planted firmly in his eye.
If Reid loses his sixtieth vote, he’ll just go out and buy another one, like he did with Landrieu and Nelson.
You know it and I know it. We’re gonna get our healthcare reformed and get rescued from globule warming whether we like it or not.
Peons like us do not run America. They do.
It will simply require a high velocity injection of certain trace materials. He’s gone after this term anyway.
Ooooo! That’s different!
bobdog-
Only so far as we let them. They’re counting on us to bluster, bitch and moan and go promptly back to desperate housewives and Orpa reruns to keep their sinecures, their health hasn’t factored in yet.
Only because we have been letting them get away with it for too long. It is time to make them have night-sweats thinking about what may betide should they push us any further.
JackBoot!
That’s how it always begins: It’s all just silly histrionics until someone gets an eye poked out.
Then the victim card gets whipped out like the 5th ace in the deck.
Well, like Crunchie said, “Let it be now, let it be us.”
How strange. We list 6 responsebut as I post there are only five, counting Jackboot.
I weary of running around chasing phantom hints of an organized resistance. When an actual organized resistance occurs, I want to be a part of it. Till then, I remain a part of the Unorganized Individual Resistance. I proclaim the Four Will Nots and the Four Wills.
I will not accomodate or surrender. I will not cooperate. I will not beg quarter or terms. I will not accept any truce, save to reload and bandage my wounds.
I will struggle as an individual. I will cooperate with any and all like-minded Sons of Liberty. I will remember my oath, even in solitary resistance. I will emerge unbroken, even if I am destroyed.
I remain a defiant kafir.
OK, we keep going on and on and on and on about taking back our federal government; and it is getting tiresome. SERIOUSLY. If WE as in the constituents that are supposed to be represented by these jackasses, why are we waiting until they are up for re-election?!?
There has got to be a way to get them out of office NOW! I have been told that if enough of “the people” go to their state government, ie. governor, and demand they be recalled. Then simply get them replaced with the “player” of your choice. Seems that someone thinks that it is that easy. You just have to follow through with The whole thing, not just talk about it.
If it takes more than that, someone should get off their ass and find out what you have to do and get the ball rolling. This is ridiculous to think that they really have 2 or 6 years no matter how bad they are at the job or do what the constituents have said NO to. I mean, for Christ sake, Ahnold got the governor of Californistan recalled and himself elected. You can’t tell me that your senators and representatives can’t be done the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, if we don’t do something NOW and that HellCare bill gets passed, we won’t be able to get it repealed if we even try. They have the provisions in place to keep that from happening.
Looks like the dumocrats are planning (once again) to trot out the “Bush is evil and it’s all his fault” meme this year.
2010 situation grows more difficult for Democrats
Good luck with that….
Elections coming up.
Time to use the vote.
Assuming these provisions themselves survive, say, a court challenge. If necessary We the Peeps can “repeal” Congress! As even the “Northern Aggressor” himself said, in his First Inaugural Address:
Maybe this quote should be displayed where Congresscruds & would-be Executive-branch tyrants can see it every day. They don’t seem to be aware of the principle currently…
Did I mention that Alka Seltzers are Teh Suck for hangovers?
Those damn things are NOISY when you plop ‘em into water!
Anyway…
Scott Brown?
Brown?
Browncoats?
I LIKE it!!!
We aim to misbehave!
Cannon Fodder said the following:
Sadly there is no provision to recall a thieving politician once they get into congress. Lynching will have to do.
If conservatives lose the 2010 elections, I’m going to have to live under a rock. I won’t be able to watch the downhill slide of America any longer.
I’m operating from the principle that NO ONE GOES BACK! Starting with the primaries, no more incumbent votes. I don’t care. Fuck ‘em all. I’ll do this until new management is installed.
Will Rogers once said “The American voter and the American politician have one thing in common-they deserve each other.”
I deserve better.
‘Read that whole thing you linked E-man,, All the Olde Guard, souls blackened, political power vaporizing, just a bunch’a rats goin’ for an 11:59 pm swim.
Now that’s the most wonderful thing I think they can to to themselves and their party.
But the folks remaining probably have another take on it.. maybe like:
“I remember that night that you shot Big Lou down,
‘Handed me the gun and said “I’ll see you around!”
(‘Pologies to Tha Skynyrd band)
Wouldn’t it be amusing to rent time on a billboard in DC and put this up in big block letters on an interstate and watch all the “controversy” over it on the news?…Just sayin’…
I didn’t realize you were a Firefly fan Sire, though I suppose I should have. Got my brown jacket in my closet, ready for wear. Now THAT would be an amusing symbol for a “Take Back America” movement.
Shiney!
#15 VonZorch Imperial Researcher says:
Even tar and feathers, if applied. Or any such action, or the credible threat thereof. To be honest, the American people have no credibility as far as causing any fear amongst our ruling class. They [both parties] do not fear being voted out of office. The turnover rate in most elections, barring the occasional wipeouts that are more self-inflicted more than anything else, has been up until now miniscule. There are indications that the Democrats literally do not fear any elections at all, ever again; as we have noticed. In the absence of that, what they fear are the power-brokers inside and outside the parties, government, and Constitution who are the sole sources of wealth, power, and preferment inside our poor, abused country.
Back in the days when most of the country was rural and not urban, members of Congress perforce had to come from and hold a residence in rural or small town America. As did their families. They could be reached by their constituents face to face. Even today, in rural areas, state legislators are within reach in ways that Federal legislators are not.
Back when there was a Republican Party that differed measurably from the Democrats here in Colorado, I lived in the House District of the Speaker of our State House of Representatives. While I grant, as the LC’s have noted, that I am a wordy bastard, and sometimes people have been known to listen to me; I have and had no official position that would make me a mover or shaker. Yet, I had [as did pretty much anyone who asked for them] the Speaker’s home phone number, home fax number, and the direct line number to the Speaker’s Office in the Capitol. If I called and said I’d like to buy her a cup of coffee next time she was in town shopping; we’d set up a time and a restaurant and within a few days I could bend her ear over whatever issue had come up.
That is not purely a matter of her being a local, because when our State Rep. was out of the city of Pueblo, I did the same thing, albeit sometimes I had to drive a bit.
In rural areas, we know our state reps, and we know their families.
Congress is now almost purely urban based, and their families live behind locked gates in town, or guarded countrydemesne’s in most cases. It used to be that each Congressman represented only a few thousand people. We have not increased the number of Congress-critters for generations, despite now having over 300,000,000 Americans. Each “represents” between 1/2 million and 1 million citizens. They and their families can live quite comfortably and well only moving in the circles of the elites, never interacting with the mass of the citizenry.
It used to be, if a Congressman did something particularly stupid, corrupt, or both, counter to the interests of his people; he could not walk down the street at home without getting an up-close-and-in-your-face reaction from those he lived amongst. His family had to live with the same neighbors, and they caught part of the scorn. A Congressman literally had to fear for his safety if he betrayed his people, as did his family. Fear is a wonderful modifier of conduct [and perhaps the only effective one] when dealing with an innately criminal class such as politicians. If it was not tar and feathers, or an application of cane, horsewhip, or fist; the social aspects could still be horrendous. Something along the line of the concept of “shunning” or being “sent to Coventry”. If no one will talk to you or your family, if no tradesman will trade with you or your family, if no one will do business with you at all; well, to avoid that fate and the necessary change of residence you might decide to avoid getting caught doing that stupid or corrupt thing.
Today, they live in urban concentrations where they are immune from popular, social, or commercial pressure.
It is usually considered that the Soapbox preceeds the Ballot Box in the politics of what claims to be a Constitutional Representative Republic. Might I put forward the concept that the two actually overlap, the more so when the honesty and existence of the ballot box is put in question and it seems that the rulers are not listening?
Lynching would of course be frowned upon by the political establishment. The legal one too. One could make the case that we have not yet reached the point where that is in play. Albeit, if it should be that the Constitution is itself shown to be in the balance, the operative word may be “yet”. Tar and Feathers may be in a similar position, albeit also perhaps one that may not be subject to as many strictures before the “yet” comes into play.
We live in an age where violent redress of grievances, public and private, is not normally acceptable. Indeed, the bar limiting what is “acceptable” is constantly being lowered. As it stands, the attendance at the public meetings called by members of our Nomenklatura, and anything other than respectful silence and grovelling acceptance of whatever dissimulation emits from whatever orifice they choose; is defined by the political establishment of both parties as akin to or worse in practice, than Jihadi terrorism. [Who is Janet Napolitano more afraid of and exercised by; "Abdul ben Charredballs" who almost killed hundreds of innocent American civilians on Christmas, or the Tea Party and 9/12 supporters who dare to talk back when lied to by Congressmen? After all, some of the latter are Oathkeepers.] The exercise of any of the aspects of the First Amendment; Grievance, Religion, Assembly, Speech, and Petition terrifies them. Perhaps that is all that we have left at hand to pierce the bubble of immunity that shields them from any regard as to our needs, beliefs, and feelings. At least until and unless they push matters beyond the scope of “yet”.
In the past, I have offered the thought that if any of our erstwhile rulers should appear in public in their home districts; upon arrival, when appearing at public functions, at their homes, and when out with their families, should be met with “flash mobs” of patriots. Do not touch them, do not threaten to touch them. But be loud, be vociferous, and be civil in chastising their conduct, votes, and in limning their futures. Patriots should stand their ground within the law. If the law is to be violated [as opposed to violating the crimen laesa majestatis that Congress truly believes in]; let it be done by them and their thugs. The public expression of public disapproval will appall them. If they are forced to flee the encounter, it will disgrace them. And their reactions, will define them. If they respond to public chastisement, then their subservience to the consent of the governed may be at least in part restored. If they react violently, illegally, or unconstitutionally; that reaction must be taken into account in the future.
But the key is puncturing the bubble of immunity that they believe protects them from any consequences of their actions. And it must be realized that any such action will meet with the universal disapproval, insults, and threats of not only the regime; but also the government controlled media [sorry for the redundancy], and the Institutional Republican Party. After all, their Vichy-ist game will make more than a few of them subject to being greeted in public. And the political class is loyal first of all to themselves, second to power and wealth, and the Constitution, the law, and the American Republic and its people are not even a distant third.
Be Thou then firmly resolved, that Duty is as heavy as a Mountain; and Death is as Light as a Feather.
For failure to pierce that bubble of immunity with words, moves both the Soapbox, and the Ballot Box farther into the background.

Should our peaceful exercise of the First Amendment is rebuffed, then a prodigious exercise of the Second will be required.

SicSemperTyrannus said the following:
Just how many “rebuffs” will we tolerate before resorting to the bottom line? We have been routinely ignored, rebuffed, for years! Seems to me that the lack of respect, notice even, granted by the Ruling Party to the two million folks in Washington 9/12, the thousands more protesting peacefully in many local tea parties, confronting at their “representatives”… indicates just how ineffective our Constitutional Redress of Grievance has become.
When the next election is ignored, fixed or otherwise nullified, will it then be time for the Bottom Line of Constitutional Defense?
Much as I admire, and am instructed by, the thinking and writing of the Esteemed Subotai Bahadur, and as much as I would wish that the tactics he recommends above would resolve our peril, I have hardly a shred of hope for that result.
SicSemperTyrannus quoted the following:
The longer we wait, the stronger they grow and the more terrible the conflict. And remember that our foreign enemies will delight and seek advantage in our internal struggle. The sooner we sort this out, the sooner we may… may... be able to deal with those who would destroy us.
Kinetic Redress of Grievance, anyone?
I am surprised, honestly, at how well the R’s have been sticking together on this health care Obamanation. I expected the usual suspects to bugger off and suck up to the left. They have not. As for the rest of the Republican Party, I have little use for them. They only show spine when it’s convenient. I hate that.
So far, in all of the debate on the health care thing, no one has been able to address my simple question…. “How is it legal??” I get no answers. I have no idea what the left is thinking in how they want to enact biggest reversal of our laws without even asking how it’s legal. I want answers.
#25 LC Jon Imperial Hunter says
Thank you for the kind words, but I think you misunderstand me to some extent. This tactic is far from the be-all and end-all necessary for the success of the Patriot side. It is a step. It is offered as the next step, but it is just a step.
Consider, if you will. Actions to pierce the long existent bubble of immunity around the members of the Nomenklatura on a personal basis cannot be ignored by them. The actions will have shock value, and place us inside the enemy’s OODA loop. They will react in one of four ways [as far as I can see. I admit readily that I am not omniscient and that they may be inside my own OODA loop, and come up with something I have not foreseen.]
1) They will be shocked and say something tremendously counterproductive for themselves that we can use and/or flee in panic. This would be good for our side because the stupider and more scared they look, the less prestige they have, the less that they will be able to inspire fear, and the more contempt that the people will have for them.
2) They will try to bluff it out arrogantly, and piss people off even more, with good effects to our side.
3) They will over-react either with brute force by their thugs immediately at hand or through attempts to suppress the First Amendment after the fact with the coercive organs of the State, and really, really piss people off, and move us measurably towards the “yet” I noted.
4) It is theoretically possible, though not bloody likely given what has transpired since January 20, that they may actually kill the Nationalization of Health Care or other items on their agenda; because they suddenly realise that reality is intruding on their little fantasy bubble. Mind you, I am not betting on it.
I am expecting, in order of likelihood 1,3,2,4. All of them would hurt the enemy and help our side.
If they should over-react as in #3, it would for the first time draw lines clearly for many of the people who have not had to seriously think about the situation nearly as long or thoroughly as those of us here have. It would make more Oathkeepers, and focus the attention of the those already sworn. If they push too far, too fast; they will invite a counter-reaction that they do not want.
Defending the concept of a Constitutional Representative Republic is not something that will be done in one fell swoop, but in steps that will be taken as part of an interaction with the activities of the enemy. Think John Boyd.
The rumors that I am not a nice person, are probably true.
LC Subotai Bahadur, Lord Pao An
Jon, the problem isn’t so much as whether we believe it’s time to forcefully throw the bastards out, it that wants to be the one to do it. No one wants to be the one to fire the first round so to speak. If there was such a person, to do such a thing before the up-coming election, they would undoubtedly be arrested, criminalized, and branded a traitor, wacko, and right-wing extremist. Despite the fact that we would all believe otherwise, our outrage would be once again be brushed under the rug. There will not be any physical form of resistance until they come for the guns. I can guarantee it.
America Rising I think this covers it.
Hope It dosen’t get pulled down
Article V of the Constitution states that 2/3rds of the state legislatures can call a Constitutional Convention to propose amendments to the Consitution. These proposed amentments have to be validated by 75% of the states.
OK. That means that we, the people, can try to push our various legislatures (and Governors) to form a Constitutional Convention to address such issues as a) term limits, b) misuse of the Commerce Clause, etc.
Perhaps the Tea Parties might address this approach since no one else seems to be interested.
I have to agree with FF, the tipping point won’t have been reached with the general population until such time as they come for the weapons held by private citizens, barring OBVIOUS election fraud; I only pray that it won’t be too late by that point.
Having said that, this next election will be a crucial time for all of us that believe in individual liberty. We need to stay strong and vigilant. Vote EVERY incumbent out, and pay special attention to the election process to ensure that it remains an honest one. We on the conservative side need to devote as much time and presence at the polls as the SEIU, Black Panthers, ACORN, and MoveOn does. Harder for us to do, since we usually work for a living, but it could be the deciding factor.
I like this woman.

I do understand all that, my friend. After I wrote and posted my comments, I thought they might be taken as sarcastic which was not my intention. I do sincerely appreciate and admire your efforts here.
However, I will simply repeat my conclusion that political, electoral solutions within the present circumstances;
media bias, election fraud and intimidation, ignorance of the electorate, spineless connivance of the “opposition” party;
the absolute disregard for Law, the arrogance and utter ruthlessness of the Ruling Party and its Fuhrer;
and unintended consequences as yet unforeseen;
will not be sufficient.

#33 LC Jon Imperial Hunter
Absolutely no offense taken at all. We are on the same side. We are even running parallel in how we see things, I think. I HOPE for an electoral victory in November. I do not expect it. And if it is achieved, I do not expect it to do more than to buy some time. But time is the most precious thing of all in war, and usually costs blood to buy. Our electoral efforts are a cheap price for what may be the critical prize. That prize may be another election in two more years and time to shape the battlefield.
If, as is quite possible, elections are not something to depend on this year or after; we still have the effort to build upon. We need to face two battles, intertwined and inseparable; Political/Electoral and Clausewitzian. If the enemy can be made to act in a way to justify resistance, it helps both battles.
As things stand, we are strategically at a disadvantage. The enemy is acting largely at will and is inside our OODA loop, and yet the public is not at a point where resistance in any form is something that they are ready for. We are reacting as best we can to assaults on Liberty and the Constitution. We have to knock things off of dead center. TEA Parties, the 9/12 rallies, and similar activities are helpful, even critical, but not decisive. We are in a better position to defend the Constitution than we were in January. To use the enemy’s terminology, political consciousness has not been raised enough. The public in general are not political junkies, they are concerned with surviving these bad times and have not figured out where we are going and what the end of the journey will be [and why we are in this handbasket]. They are not focused on the problem as we are. Actions to make plain the nature of the dangers of the Nomenklatura of both parties are necessary to show them. It is political aikido, using the enemy’s reactions and their strength against their goals, that is intended. And as the mask drops in the public mind, we come closer to being able to resist; politically, electorally, and if necessary, in terms of Clausewitz. And yes, it is necessary that they be shown to be the aggressors that they are to accomplish this.
What I suggested, and innumerable other tactics in the field of politics that free men and women nationwide will come up with, can be preparing the field of battle in whatever sphere it must be waged. It is the equivalent of Henry V at Agincourt. First, there was the choice of the field of battle that minimized the overwhelming advantages of the French. Second, there was the physical labor of the archers, planting the sharpened stakes in the ground, to further shape the battlefield to their advantage. It was the yeomen archers, the commoners, who won that battle. It will be the same here if we are to keep a Constitutional Republic.
We do not have a Henry V, a Cinncinatus, or a George Washington to choose the field. We may someday. If we are to pass successfully through the fires and meet again on the other side, we must find one. For now, we are like unto the yeoman farmers of New England, and the thousands of citizens of Boston who met at Old South Meeting Hall before the harbor became a giant teapot, or the Sons of Liberty in all of the Colonies before the die had to be cast. Remember, that George Washington did not assume command of the Continental forces until after the Tea Party, the Coercive Acts, Concord, Lexington, the “Merriam’s Corner” moment, Ticonderoga, or the battle of Bunker Hill. Free men and women did what needed to be done themselves to preserve their freedom up until that time. They did it because opinion had been changed, by the acts of the British, the acts of resistance to the British, and by British counter-actions to that resistance, repeating in a cycle; shaping the political/electoral battlefield and creating the possibility of another kind of battlefield.
The political battlefield now has not been shaped enough for the Patriot side. If it devolves into force at this stage, all we will have is a series of Waco’s and Randy Weavers. If we can shape that political battlefield, there is a chance that it will remain a political battle. And if not, that there will be another Merriam’s Corner moment, and Oathkeepers will stand together.
It is not as if we have a certain blueprint of what will be. Victory, or even survival, as a Republic or as individuals is not guaranteed to us. We look to the future “through a glass, darkly” and make our way, each of us as best we can. I do not make any particular claim to either omniscience, or even insight. I just do what little I can to fight for the right, as do we all.
Beyond that, only the Great Blue Sky Tengri Nor knows.
