He once wore the same uniform I did. And he betrayed that uniform, besmirching the honor of my beloved Corps. For that, and for that alone I wouldn’t piss on his grave. For his family, who knew him as something other than a boil on the ass of a shitbird maggot, I feel sorrow for, and offer my condolences. For the Haditha Marines he slandered, and for the veterans of the Long War he defamed, and for the honor of my Corps; may he roast in hell. Good riddance, may the world forget you ever claimed the title United States Marine.

Easy Cheap, my halo doesn’t shine near as bright as FrJim’s. However, he does have a valid point about 1LT Murtha vs Cesspool Resident Murtha. Just sayin’

I haven’t read the reports but it’s pretty clear the pressure those Walter Reed surgeons were under was just too much. They just snapped and pig-stuck the old war horse in the gut in cold blood. Clearly, it’s Bush’s fault.
Yeah, Fm, Fr. Jim does have a valid point, and I respect the good padre immensely. And I do agree that 1st Lt Murtha was deserving of the honor he earned, once. But as has been alluded to already, what made Benedict Arnold’s treason so severe and so heart wrenching was that he was a bono fide HERO to the revolution. That’s why his treachery was even worse than if a scurrilous cur dog had done it. It’s like comparing if a girl you went one date with gives your best friend a BJ as opposed to your wife of 20 years banging the Cowboys offensive line and half the cheerleaders during half time. I would expect actions like his from Reid or Pelosi, and wouldn’t hardly have batted an eye, par for the course from them. But from someone who is supposed to be my brother? Nope, he wiped away any honor or respect he earned.
Because Murtha was once a Marine, and a decorated one, that is what makes his treason that much more painful. It’s hard to ex-communicate a brother, but what he did was unforgivable. Fr. Jim, I hope you can understand, and maybe put in a word or two for me with Sky Six. I know I have some ’splainin to do come next confession, but somethings are beyond a mortals capacity, and I’m afraid this is one of those things for me. I guess it’s best to do what a wise priest told me once when I was wrestling with trying to forgive my ex. Ask God to do it instead, since it’s beyond me.

Secondary peritonitis is notably painful.
Just the beginning of an infinity of justice?
Both DOG and G-D are right!
