One of the biggest lies ever told, right up there with “Germany has no further territorial claims in Europe.”
And apparently big enough that Comrade Hussein’s Praetorian Media Guard can’t refuse to report on it any longer after a mere 4 years of struggling with acknowledging the obvious.
Health plans are sending hundreds of thousands of cancellation letters to people who buy their own coverage, frustrating some consumers who want to keep what they have and forcing others to buy more costly policies.
“If you like your plan, you can keep it!”
Unless you can’t. We’re still hunting for confirmed, confirmed observations of the mythical creature known as the “ObamaCare Enrollee” three weeks after the Glorious Rollout™, but at least we have hundreds of thousands of observations of people who, presumably, liked their plans but couldn’t keep it.
The main reason insurers offer is that the policies fall short of what the Affordable Care Act requires starting Jan. 1.
Such as contraception, maternity care and child care visits for 75-year-old males. Because L-rd knows they need that sort of thing.
Most are ending policies sold after the law passed in March 2010. At least a few are canceling plans sold to people with pre-existing medical conditions.
Which… Waitaminnit? Did we just read that right? Wasn’t one of the main “selling points” that HusseinCare was going to guarantee insurance to people with pre-existing medical conditions who, apparently, were up until now completely uninsurable and forced to rely on old crones living in scary woods cooking bats and eating live frogs for their medical care?
Even THEY can’t keep their plans which they, according to Comrade Hussein and His Merry Band of Media Propagandists, didn’t ever have to begin with?
By all accounts, the new policies will offer consumers better coverage, in some cases, for comparable cost — especially after the inclusion of federal subsidies for those who qualify.
“By all accounts?” Whose, pray tell? Ah, we get it. By all of those accounts that you get handed to you by Hussein’s staff while on your kneepads, gobbling his royal semen freshly milked from his royal member. So “better coverage for comparable cost” means average increases in deductibles by 2 to 3 times and overall premium raises of 100%? And what about those who don’t qualify for federal subsidies (read: “other people’s money”)? Oh well, fuck those raycists.
Not to mention that you just mentioned “frustrated consumers.”
Why on Earth would they be “frustrated” if they were being forced to switch to a cheaper, better plan?
Ah. Because shut up, you explained. Or maybe the poor dumb animals just don’t know what’s good for them.
More fascism, please.
