As the Establishment GOP Gets Ready to Bend Over Again…

…we, once again, learn that the “Affordable”, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!, Care Act, the one the “crazies” of the “Tea Part Extremists” tried hard to defund or even just delay, isn’t all that “affordable” after all.

Many Americans shopping for better health insurance deals promised by the two-week-old Obamacare system are instead being slapped with rate shock, including savings-sapping deductibles and co-pays, according to multiple reports from around the country.

For some able to get the problem-plagued Obamacare website to work, the so-called “deals” the system is coughing up around the country include $12,600 deductibles, co-pays of up to 40 percent, zero competition, and rate hikes of 260 percent.

The huge cost increases that some Obamacare applicants are seeing are feeding the effort in Congress to change the system and delay implementation until January 2014.

But remember, those people trying to delay that clusterfuck (in lieu of simply 86’ing it, which is what they really wanted) are “wacko birds”, “extremists”, “terrorists” and “hostage takers”, and that’s just the rhetoric coming from their OWN party.

Just be grateful that the “pragmatic conservatives” of the Establishment, ably aided and abetted by the Surrender Punditry, managed to turn this whole fight into an internecine GOP circular firing squad, thus avoiding the horrid fate of perhaps spending their efforts pointing out to the public how it was all about Princess Barry and Harry Screed being willing to throw our nation over the cliff if the alternative was them having to suffer under the same “health care” that the rest of us will go to jail if we refuse participating in.

They did GOOD! So remember to vote for them in 2014 so they can fuck you little people up the arse some more.

It’s the “pragmatic” thing to do, you know. Just close your eyes, lie back and think of Boner/McCockless not having to deal with Unaffordable Hell Care like you do.

See? Doesn’t that make you feel much better?

I am seeing plenty of battered-wife syndrome here and elsewhere.

People need to come to the realization that the GOP is nothing more than the retarded little brother of the democrats – sure they can’t be calling the important shots, but they still get to enjoy living like royalty as “the minority.” So long as you continue give them money, as long as you vote for them, you are crawling back in bed with the man that hits you every night because: “DAMNIT WOMAN! PEAS AGAIN? “

Then, while you sit in the bathroom, dabbing the blood off your nose, and watching the growing goose-egg rise on your forehead, he gently knocks on the door….

“I am soooo sorry honey… I really do love you… I promise this will never ever ever happen again… now… come… come sleep with me baby…”

Some of us knew with John McWeenie, and the way the Republicans shot Palin in the back, (and then abandoned her on the field of battle), that these assholes positively hated us – their base. They loath us. They are unequivocally embarrassed by us conservatives and libertarians, and they hate getting ribbed by the Gentry Elite at all of the little Washington D.C. dinner parties. These people, lead by the likes of Karl Rove, John Boenhor, and Mitch McConnell reject your values and principles whole-cloth – if they didn’t need your ballots and cash, they’d happily have you all exiled to a gulag. (Though, truthfully, they consider you there already, since most of you live more than 20 miles from the coastline).

The Republicans think that all of these worthless “eaters” in despicable mire that is “fly-over” land need to sit their uppity asses down, shut the fuck up, and write the goddamned campaign checks to their betters. They do not now, nor will they ever treasure your values. These weasel-tongues liars will beat you again and again, and then toss some table scraps and silky words in your direction every so often – just enough to keep you hoping – hoping that:

“This time he really means it… this time really is the last time he hits me… see… he really does love me…”

Just wait… around election time, they will tell you – with crossed fingers behind their back – how they really really want to de-fund Obamacare. How they truly share your values, and gosh-dang-it-golly-gee they would love to promote your values… except we just haven’t given them the votes, or we have yet to fork over enough cash to their gilded coffers. Or hey man, this shit is the “law of the land” and we need to fight over something else, like Amnesty… er… well… maybe some other hill to die on.

You cannot ever win by voting for the lesser of evils. Period. It is this willingness to crawl back into bed with the man that beats you that enables them to continue ignoring you, laughing at you, and popping you in the mouth.

This is the 1850 compromise moment people. I left years ago, but it’s time that the rest of you still throwing your dimes and effort at a party who dispenses a black-eye every time you embarrass them (by virtue of simply existing):

“No more, I am NOBODIES punching-bag!”

Enough. You cut off the money, you stop the votes, and we work at crafting a new political party. The Republican party is rotten to it’s twisted core – the wood is infested with carpenter ants, the foundation cracked, the piping is shot, and the roof long ago collapsed. You cannot save this. Any attempts are pure unadulterated folly. The only thing left to do, is set the motherfucker on fire, and let it burn down.

Yes, there will be horrible pain – and the Democrats will take full advantage of the disarray to destroy the entire country. But here’s the Rub – the Democrats are doing a righteous job of that already – with the full assistance and compliance of the feckless GOP. By walking away from the festering, putrid husk of the Party of Lincoln, you change not one damn thing in that regards.

It’s time to start now. To set the foundation of the Second American Republic. Don’t be some asshole in Washington D.C.’s little bitch punching bag anymore. Man up – some serious work ahead, and the first project is the dismantling of the rotting remains of the “Grand Old Party.”

McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $2 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project

A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a $2 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Louisville from $775 million to nearly $2. 9 billion.

The dam is considered an important project for the state and region in regards to water traffic along the Ohio River.

As The Courier-Journal’s James Bruggers reported in 2011, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said they needed about $2.1 billion for the locks due to “stop and go funding.”

Asked about the additional funding in the proposal, McConnell spokesman Robert Steurer directed all questions to lawmakers who worked on the bill directly.

“Senators (Diane) Feinstein and (Lamar) Alexander, the chair and ranking member of the energy and water subcommittee, worked on the issue and can help you,” he says.

Since 2009, McConnell has been an outspoken supporter of the project, and has been working on getting its funding for some time.

Still, conservative critics of the proposal argue it is nothing more than a “kickback” for McConnell in an age where Tea Parties have eschewed earmarks.

The Olmsted Dam sees nearly 90 billion tons of materials such as coal, petroleum and other goods move through that stretch of the Ohio River annually.

A statement from Sen. Alexander’s office to BuzzFeed says the language was added to prevent funding from being canceled.

“According to the Army Corps of Engineers, 160 million taxpayer dollars will be wasted because of canceled contracts if this language is not included. Sen. [Diane] Feinstein and I, as chairman and ranking member of the Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee, requested this provision. It has already been approved this year by the House and Senate.”

by Joel B. Pollak 16 Oct 2013, 2:52 PM PDT
A specific provision in the draft of the Senate bill to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, provides for $174,000 to be provided to the widow of the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), who died earlier this year and will be replaced after today’s special election.

    The provision reads:

Notwithstanding any other provision of this joint resolution, there is appropriated for payment to Bonnie Eaglebardt Lautenberg, widow of Frank R. Lautenberg, late a Senator from New Jersey, $174,000.

The House of Representatives made similar provision in a draft bill to fund the government before the shutdown. The gift–equivalent to a year’s salary–is a tradition for congressional widows.

by Dee Dee Benkie 16 Oct 2013, 12:01 PM PDT

It looks like the GOP is caving and will raise the debt ceiling once again. Back about ten years ago, the debt was seven trillion dollars when then-Senator Barack Obama voted against raising the debt ceiling because it was un-American to pile debt on our kids. Ten trillion additional dollars later and we’re still racking up the debt, and he’s leading the way (which is one of the rare instances when he does lead).

How ridiculous that we keep tying weights to our body and not realize that we’ll eventually drown and die. Our debt is outrageous, and ObamaCare may just be the anvil that takes us to the bottom of the ocean. That may sound dramatic, but it’s just true. What’s going on right now is historic and horrifying.

Where are the patriots that we need? Who will fight to insure our liberty and financial security? Americans don’t want ObamaCare, so the one silver bullet we had to stop or slow it down is replaced with a pop gun.

When the going gets tough the weenies hand over their buns. When it gets hot in the kitchen the pansies cry into their aprons.

Obama and ObamaCare will ruin this country if someone doesn’t take a stand. This is the worst president with the worst policies in our history. Now he’s pledging to work on immigration reform. Unfortunately, amnesty for illegal aliens will likely be his next goal in which case we might as well all join Richard Branson and move to an island somewhere.

The Spirit of 1776 seems to get fainter and fainter. There are true soldiers of America out there. Hopefully, some of them will run to replace these weak whining elected officials who won’t fight for what’s right.

Clearly, the GOP doesn’t stand for anything anymore. We’re the new Whigs. The GOP might as well go down to the closet wig shop and don what they deserve to wear—the scarlet headgear. Where is the courage and backbone?

I don’t want to be Europe, and we are starting to really look like croissant eating wusses. Instead of raising their teacups with their pinkies held out, we should demand elected officials who will raise their pitchforks (figuratively speaking of course) and fight.

Where is our George Washington? Our William Wallace? We need leaders who would never waiver and heroes willing to fight for what’s right. We need to replace the D.C. debutantes and recruit real rebels to end this establishment escapade.

Our party is a failure. We need new leadership across the Board. Get rid of all of them. The only true leadership seems to come from governors and a few people in DC who haven’t been affected.

The GOP got squat in this whole futile escapade. Pathetic. It’s time to look at each leader and member one by one and replace these losers.

We need to change government across the board in Washington before it’s too late.

That is unless we’re already doomed as a nation, which just might be the case.

We remove support from the GOP, watch them collapse, then in the meantime, the demonrats will provoke a civil war with too much too fast. We try to build a third party that will provide material support for the coming civil unrest, and to form a foundation for a constitutional republic for when we have finished killing every last traitorous goon – and hung those that sent them.

What these weak-kneed lily-livered RePubics do is give a justification for the unreasonably hopeful to pretend and put-off what has to be done to fix this nation.

“Oh maybe next election it will get better.”

No sir, it won’t. It’s a fool’s hope, and it needs to be torn up by it’s roots and killed. Only when this false hope is dead, when the democrats have pounded the nation flat, when things get TRULY bad, can we get the auxillary support for what needs to happen in this country to fix it.

What you need to understand is this: It’s going to come to war no matter what.

Here is the question folks – do YOU want to do it? Or do you wants your kids and grandkids to be the ones on the front, loosing their appendages, getting shot to death, and spending the rest of their lives without legs and arms?

We have been sold out fella’s check this out.. Actually I would call it outright treason. Auto debt increases unless you have a super majority 2/3rds vote in the house. WTF. All you guys who have been supporting the old guard saying its only tactics we all have the same end goal. Well how you like those apples from YOUR boys?

    HR&S @20.

Outta curiosity–where did you find those quotes?

Nephew collected them from around “Hot Gas” for my brother.

Update/Correction – according to the e-mail reply, nephew found them on a place called postcount – although they are from Hot Air. I am a stickler for proper attribution.

Just a drive-by sniping, as I’m laughing my balls off at you whining about how the party of fail, failed. And still the same old lines about “We can vote’m out!!!1111!!” No, you can’t. Because all you’ll fucking do is vote for the “new” guy running against the “old” guy. “Because the party must remain in power.” :em05:
Next you’ll be bitching that trying to get rid of the old party will hand the other guys a win. :em02:

Hemp, your just pissing in the wind trying to reason with the statists here. I’ve seen the fools shouting about how Rubio stood up and is worth re-electing, they have forgotten that Rubio is voting for the amnesty. Hell every damn one of the “18” stand ups have already sold the fuck out.
Thanks for the slightly slower slide into communism assholes. Keep voting for the party. Me, I’m going to get back to work, get my guns, ammo, and take note of those who are too stupid to stop voting for the party. Because you damn sure ain’t on my side.

    Ahh I dunno Lobo.

I don’t blame people for trying with all their might to keep things civil. Folks here have their hearts and heads in the right spots – sure, they want to hang onto order – I can’t blame them. Most folks here have seen war or conflict first hand in the services or law enforcement. They know how high the butcher’s bill is. They will suffer a host of abuses and usurpations precisely because they’ve held a friend as they died, and seen the dead kids and families in the bushes once the bombs start going off.

But, I do believe the Rotties will act in the end – shoulder to shoulder with many other patriots. I’ve been a reader years longer than I’ve been a writer, and yes, they will make absolutely certain that there is no alternative left before they move, but these men and women are principled people, and when the last straw falls… I’d not want to be on the receiving end of their anger.

It’s not a sprint. It’s a slow burn sir. Revolutions build over decades and generations. We’ve been down this path a good long ways, but there is still a lot more work to do before people feel they’ve exhausted all their options.

And I can’t say I totally disagree with that mindset. Before people can commit to violence, they need to be completely at peace with the fact that there are no other alternatives. Yes approach warfare with anger in your heart, but also sadness and resignation.

The casualties are never one sided, and battles don’t really care weather those that get in their way are war-fighters or innocents. You may know this, you many not, I say these things not to belittle or insult you, but to help frame the perspective of many here. I sure didn’t expect to be attending Max Velocity training camps with my nephew during my retirement, hoping that my knee holds out for just a few more years.

    But such is life eh?

Be cool Lobo. These are good people. They will do the right thing in the end, I’d bank my life on it. I am in fact.

I think only secession of blocks of states with common interests can save our American traditions now. The wide acceptance of gay marriage was the last straw. I don’t want to be part of nation with gays, black panthers, welfare losers all celebrated more than the working Christian family.
