No, he shouldn’t.
Not that we particularly believe the Lame Stream Media’s parroting the DNC talking point that they’ve been handed that “it would immediately pass”, but given how busy Obama and his pissy-panted, petulant, foot-stomping Spite House are pissing Americans off, we find it silly in the extreme to interrupt the enemy when he’s busy making a mistake.
Only 17% of the American people believe that our government has the consent of the governed, after all and, as Purple Ranger (from whom we stole that link) says:
That’s quite a bit lower than the percentage of the public that believes in UFO’s. I’m just saying…
So, by all means, let president Stompy Foot keep sticking that foot in his mouth.
But let’s say that Weepy Boner did cave and let the ‘clean’ CR come to vote, whether it passed or not.
We’re not so sure that that would be a complete loss, even if it DID pass.
For one thing, it would give We the People a handy-dandy list of Congress Leeches who, while jealously guarding their own Platinum (with Oak Leaves and Clusters) Insurance Plans, voted to take even basic insurance away from hard working Americans.
Add to that 11 months of Americans really finding out what’s in that bill that Congress voted to pass, and they’re already none too pleased with the 300% increases in premiums advertised if they can even get through to 404Care, and we think that we’d see a House Cleaning that would make the bloodbath shellacking of 2010 look like a note of mild concern.
So even if we lose, we win.
Now’s not the time to go wobbly.
