Remember America That Was?

Yeah, we do too. Pity we don’t live there anymore (h/t LC Gladiator):In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights.

[…]

The area’s [eastern TN — Ed.] top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”

Herr Sturmbannführer Killian also goes on to talk about “Christians are doing it too!”, bringing up the same tired lies that objectively pro-terrorist douchenozzles always do, which is to say Timothy “Self Declared Agnostic [Not a Christian — Ed.] McVeigh and whoever the fuck it was what shot up a Sikh temple years ago, the Nazi, Hitler-worshipping fuck [Hitler: Not a Christian — Ed.]

Can’t really blame Herr Sturmbannführer Killian, though. After all, it was his very own Führer who once said:

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”

AG Heinrich Holder could not be reached for comment as Heinrich Holder is currently busy investigating whether Heinrich Holder did anything wrong, which he already told us that he didn’t, so shut up, wingnuts!

Tick, tock, tick, tock…

Thatisall.

I made a FB post yesterday on my wall addressing just this very issue. Fuck those fucking fuckers. They can come arrest me if they wish. Speaking for myself, they have crossed the line in the sand. YMMV

They really are trying to provoke some sort of incident aren’t they?

I am already on multiple watch lists….as a Combat Vet, as one who accidentally took 10 rounds of ammo thru a TSA checkpoint in Atlanta, and my postings on FB.

I have fought and SEEN personally what this cult is about….NOT ON MY WATCH!!!

My only issue is my confirmed kill number is not a prime number….just a pet peeve of mine.

I seem to remember when the looney left was all up in arms about freedom of speech when the “Ditzy Chicks” were on their world wide Bush-Bashing tour and private citizens and radio stations were boycotting them.

Not so much of an issue now.

If standards are good, then double standards must be better!;)

(Disregard the fact that the 1st amendment rights of the Ditzy Chicks were NOT being violated, as there was no government interference, only the reactions of private entities and individuals. Whereas this Eichman wannabe is promoting the government intimidation/prosecution of political speech, which is pretty much the definition of violating the 1st amendment.)

Political Correctness is Intellectual Fascism… Now even better with Federal Government Enforcement!!! :em06:

Do I need to hold my breath to see if they will apply the same standard to Christian haters?

oh, and imams holder and napolitano?……

death to Islam…….

(there, now I’m on your watchlist, and that’s my middle finger and bare nekkid arse saluting whatever brownshirts are monitoring me).

This idiot Killian seems to have forgotten that he is in eastern Tennessee. Outside of Texas, it might be difficult to select a location likely to be less hospitable to this idea. One of the less-progressively-intellectual-folks the region is known for might get it in their head that around his neck would be a good place to store a piece of unused piano wire.

Until such time as the religious leadership of the Islamic faith here and abroad begin loudly denouncing and condemning the acts of outrageous violence committed in the name of Islam and excommunicating the practitioners and their radical leaders, Americans of any political party would do well to remain suspicious of the intentions of Islamic organizations within our borders. We should demand that our government act accordingly. There is plenty of room within this caution for Americans to be fair to individual Muslims, but only a fool would make a policy of appeasement under these circumstances.

I almost wish the fools would try poisecutin’ me, but I don’t trash Islam, nor is it my policy to ridicule any anciently-recognized prophets. I consider myself a little better-informed on the subject than the masses, in fact, thanks in part to my family history. Our nation has a tradition which allows equal-opportunity trashing. You don’t like what people say? Tough Fine–counter it with your own speech! The Constitution forbids any establishment of religion. Got that, Erich Heiler? Read it again. Read the Law. I’d guess you’re in enough trouble already. As for Sturmbannführer Killingem: I blow my nose at you & call your speech-suppressing request a silly thing! :em07:

Speaking for myself, they have crossed the line in the sand.

The $64 question remains that same query raised by The Small Faces? “Whatcha Gonna Do About It?” (and more importantly: will it have any impact; and, if so, how are you going to get others to join you?)

Be the flashpoint.

And don’t believe what you hear on the news.

Fa Cube,

I HAVE done something about the line crossed by my exercise of free speech. If you mean what will I do if faced with .gov goons wanting to further breach my Constitutional rights, I suppose that depends in large part upon their behavior. For now, what some would call “civil disobedience” will do, and I will continue to do so.

Personally, I don’t care if anyone else is with me. I have had enough of this bullshit.Fa Cube Itches @ #:

Unfortunately, if no one joins you (or me, or anyone else) in your/their/our stand, it doesn’t mean a damned thing. It’s effectively masturbation – it feels good enough (Look at me! I’m principled!), but it doesn’t create anything. It’s not an indictment against you (or anyone else, really) – each person only does what they can at any given moment, and most of us are pretty powerless on an individual level. The problem is that for the last 80 years or more, the resistance to statist overreach has *stayed* at the individual level. There is no weight to it, and thus, there are no consequences to the statists – it’s a gnat bite on an Argentinosaurus.

Somehow, there has to be a way to channel the individual stands into something with some heft. The only way to stop the statists will be to change for lone gnats into a swarm of army ants – they’re not terribly tough at an individual level either, but en masse? They can shred just about anything.
