Please, God, let this not be true

Source

“Senior Libyan rebel “officers” sold Hizballah and Hamas thousands of chemical shells from the stocks of mustard and nerve gas that fell into rebel hands when they overran Muammar Qaddafi’s military facilities in and around Benghazi, debkafile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources report. Word of the capture touched off a scramble in Tehran and among the terrorist groups it sponsors to get hold of their first unconventional weapons.

According to our sources, the rebels offloaded at least 2,000 artillery shells carrying mustard gas and 1,200 nerve gas shells for cash payment amounting to several million dollars.

US and Israeli intelligence agencies have tracked the WMD consignments from eastern Libya as far as Sudan in convoys secured by Iranian agents and Hizballah and Hamas guards. They are not believed to have reached their destinations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, apparently waiting for an opportunity to get their deadly freights through without the US or Israel attacking and destroying them.

It is also not clear whether the shells and gases were assembled upon delivery or were travelling in separate containers. Our sources report that some of the poison gas may be intended not only for artillery use but also for drones which Hizballah recently acquired from Iran.

Words fail me.

Obama merely failed.

Again.

I’m going to have to go with a “wait and see if this true” on this one.

IF this is true and IF Hezbollah is stupid enough to use nerve and mustard gas on Israel, I’d expect that the IDF response would be swift, terrible and pretty much final.

    Just sayin’….

Im sure Ogabe’s force of personality would prevent the Israelis from retaliating – as in going completely batshit insane and leveling cities.

Dear Heavenly Father let this one not be true. Because all it’d take is one nerve gas shell going off in Israel and they’d be hard pressed to NOT turn Gaza and the West Bank into parking lots. And consequences be damned.

    1. where are the B-2′s when you need several in orbit over the AO, waiting for a target?

    2. while nothing i’d want to be on the receiving end of as a civilian, my time as a 54 series back in my misspent youth tells me, even with my non-clearance level based knowledge, that this amount of ordinance is at best a terror weapon, not one that could likely be used as the basis of a true WMD attack.

several things to keep in mind: we don;t know how old any of this stuff is, nor how well stored and maintained, all of which affect effectiveness. weather and air conditions greatly influence the effectiveness or lack there of during the employment of chemical weapons, and the big problem is getting enough concentration to be effective. since the Israeli’s have done a pretty good j*b pf preparing their population Civil Defense wise, the most likely victims in any attack with this stuff will be the Paleostinian population…

also, i’ve never looked at the charts, but i’d be surprised if the primary air flow isn;t off the ocean inland, which means it will all drift into Jordan eventually.

not saying this isn’t bad, just that there are many variables to consider.

A few more things to consider:

Didn’t Gaddafi surrender his WMDs in 2003?

If he had “rat-holed” some WMDs, I doubt that Obongo and the democrats would pass up this opportunity to trash Bush (yet again) for incompetence.

Also, if U.S. forces intercepted these shipments, it would be a chance for Obongo to score political points by showing that “He’s on the ball” and “he DOES care for Israel!”

We’ll just have to wait and see…

If it weren’t for the inevitable loss of innocent human life in Israel I’d wish it were true, but even seeing those paleosimian barbarian swine exterminated in retaliation isn’t worth the death of one single Israeli.

Instead, I vote that we pre-emptively terminate the problem without waiting for yet another atrocity from the saracen hordes to provide us with justification.

We need none. We already have it in spades. If 1,400 years of murder, rape and pillaging isn’t enough justification to eradicate that vile plague from the face of our planet, then nothing ever will be.

Time to don the cross and finish what we started.

Well this is defiantly a “historic” presidency. No president in history has so badly screwed up every single thing they did. No president in history has so destabilized the world. Only 1 other president in history has so badly damaged the economy and even he didn’t do it out of active malice.

:em12: :em98: Shit. I hit the “post” button too soon. HEY, DEEJ, how ’bout an edit button?

As to the paleosimians getting ahold of chemical warheads, they don’t give even a slight fuck about human lives, they just want to murder as many civilians as they can, and the fame and notoriety they think they’d get from using a chem warhead is all the reason they think they need to use one. Just look at the sarin-filled warheads we found in Iraq, the ones that the leftywhores said didn’t count because they’d probably expired. As to the lingering effects, just look at the Kurds that survived Saddan’s gas attacks!
IF this gets reprted by the Obamawhores in the MSM, I just wonder how much they’ll sugarcoat the issue and flipflop on it?

    AyUaxe growls and barks:

This will get the same level of investigation and reporting as did Saddam’s bio/chem weapons skulking across the Syrian border just before Operation Iraqi Freedom–i.e., none. Debka had that reasonably well documented and it certainly made more sense than anything else that has ever been reported on the issue. I have no doubt that Assad is sitting on those weapons to ensure that Hizzy and the Persians will remember who’s the top caporegime in their gang and as insurance against an Israeli invasion.

This news suggests that there is a massive, world-changing storm brewing the scope of which wasn’t at all evident just weeks ago. All of the instability that has been created may well allow Hizzy and Hammy to get their hands on some very, very bad stuff, which will pose an internationally recognized existential threat to Israel, allowing them to take action that has previously been very difficult for them. Replication of the common incidents of “accidental” detonation of bombs destined for Israel in Hizzy’s or Hammy’s lairs, when involving bio/chem weapons will do much of Israel’s Gaza/West Bank/SoLebanon clearing for them. It may be that such incidents can finally create a real backlash against Hizzy and Hammy–wow, what a game changer that would be?

Me, “I’m watchin’ and I’m waitin’, hopin’ for the best. You’d think I’d go to prayin’ every time I hear ‘em sayin’ that there’s no way to delay that trouble comin’ every day.” (h/t Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention)

Couldn’t agree more. If we can locate the convoy and if the weapons are not yet assembled (the latter if is the biggest), we should bomb the ever-lovin’ fuck out of it. If the Persians are guarding it-that’s just too damn bad. Boo fuckin’ hoo.

Oh yeah, and if the “rebels” we’re helping are the ones who sold it to them, we should pull every soldier, sailor, airman, marine, and every piece of equipment we have in, on, or over Libya out. Right now. Let Khadaffi have his way with them, and make sure everyone knows why.
