Chicago reached “a tragic number” today, according to Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy: Its homicide total for the year hit 500, the highest annual total since 2008.
How can that be? Not only are criminals not allowed to own guns in Chicago, nobody else is either. Clearly they’re making this up. How can anybody be killed when guns, through careful and thorough “reasonable gun legislation”, have been made to automagically disappear?
Largely contributing to the spike was the unusual number of homicides that occurred during the early part of the year, when the city experienced unseasonable warmth.
Oh, that’s it of course!
BAN THE SUN!!!!
In the first three months of the year, homicides ran about 60 percent ahead of the 2011 rate.
And BAN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF THE YEAR TOO!!!
There, that wasn’t so hard, was it?

I actually heard a certain anti-gun priest, on my trusty radio, say guns should be “titled” like automobiles. See how they operate? They equate autos with firearms in their justification of converting a Right into a privilege.
Ya gotta hand it to these cretins: they never give up. I tried to call and ask if the priest believed our Rights come from God, but they weren’t taking questions for him. Imagine that.

OK, I did the math.
500 murders = 41.6 deaths/month. This breaks down to about 10/week.
In an area with the kind of gun control that the hoplophobes want.
Mind you, I don’t know what the breakdown is with the type of weapon used in the 500 murders, but it’s clearly time for us to wall that city off and let nature take its course.
