And we’re not talking about Barack Hussein the Blight Bringer, we’re talking about that wonderful “half a loaf is better than none” vanguard for conservatism in Taxatwoshits, Scott Brown, who has suddenly discovered that disarming victims is the perfect way to protect said victims against violence.
Although he once said banning so-called assault weapons fell under the category of issues best left to the states, Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown told The Republican / MassLive.com in an exclusive interview Wednesday that he now supports federal action.
Brown cited the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting that killed 26 people, including 20 children, as the turning point in his stance on the issue.
“What happened in Newtown where those children were subject to that level of violence is beyond my comprehension. As a state legislator in Massachusetts I supported an assault weapons ban thinking other states would follow suit. But unfortunately, they have not and innocent people are being killed,” Brown said. “As a result, I support a federal assault weapons ban, perhaps like the legislation we have in Massachusetts.”
And this, of course, has everything to do with Newtown and nothing whatsoever to do with the sudden realization that you’re an outgoing parasite at the government trough of Other People’s Money™ who just got beaten by a fake Indian with less brains than your average leek.
Explain to us, please, how the deaths of 20 children due to their teachers’ inability to defend themselves, thanks in part to the “assault weapons” ban of Connecticut that didn’t keep the beast who murdered them from acquiring a non-”assault weapon” with which he murdered them. Explain to us, please, how him using a weapon that wasn’t even covered under that “ban” convinced you that it was time to federally implement a “ban” that hadn’t in the least prevented the atrocity that you claim changed your mind? Explain to us, please, how making those teachers who hurled their own unarmed, defenseless bodies heroically against the demon spawn in hopes that their inevitable deaths might at least buy enough time for their little angels to survive would be better served by being made even more defenseless?
Explain to us, please, how you manage to look yourself in the mirror each morning, knowing that you are the most disgusting, self-serving, narcissist prick to ever suck air.
Brown, who will be leaving Washington when the Senate ends its session in the coming weeks, has hinted at a return to politics, with a potential run to become governor of Massachusetts or a senator once again should Sen. John Kerry become Secretary of State, as options on the table.
Oh, we guess you won’t have to. That’s the explanation right there.

Courage is what Vicki Soto did when she lied to the shooter and told that her students were at the gym when they were really in a closet behind her, taking the bullets for them. Courage is what the principal and school psychologist did when they threw themselves at the shooter, not giving a good shit about their hopeless odds, being forcibly disarmed by soulless monsters like yourself, because it was all they could do to protect their kids.
They pretty much knew they were going to die when they did it, because the means to create a different outcome had been forcibly taken away from them by tyrants like yourself, but that didn’t matter. To them. Because they knew what was right, and that’s all that mattered.
They will be remembered forever by Americans, as opposed to the likes of you. They will be remembered because they did not for a second hesitate to do what was right no matter how hopeless the situation. They had not a single thought for their personal futures and opportunities, all they cared about was their kids and living up to the creed of Death Before Dishonor.
Yes, they died. Thanks to worms like yourself. But they died well and their names will live on forever.
You, on the other hand, will be utterly forgotten five minutes after you shuffle off your mortal coil because you were utterly useless. There is nothing worth remembering.
I take that back. If your side, the side you’ve now “evolved” to, always putting yourself first and wanting to be on the “winning team”, wins, then your name will be remembered. As a curse word, as a perfect example of what an actual human being isn’t.

I’m worried the NRA is going to cave too. The Michigan governor already vetoed a concealed carry bill that it took a lot of work for the legislature to pass. Why? Because he’s afraid the gun grabbers are going to whiiiiiiine!

They used him knowing full well that, in the then current political atmosphere, it would be easy to slip a Squish into Uncle Teddy’s seat. The gun grabbers are going to have a infinitely more difficult time banning Evil Black Rifles™ because of the social and economic situation we have today vice 1994. In 1994 America was prosperous, GDP was up, unemployment down, inflation was flat lined to declining and money/credit was cheap so everybody was happy and contented so banned EBRs didn’t register. That’s not the situation we have today. People are scared and uncertain about the future with taxes, debt and a president who they see as a Socialist who’s going to take what they have to reward his followers leaving them destitute. Or as Obongo would say “spread the wealth”. The knee jerk reactions of Manchin and Brown will come back to bite them in the ass when they realize that people are scared shitless and scared people want protection i.e. GUNS. I mean how much of a drooling idiot do you have to be to think the people want gun control when WalMart runs out of guns in five states. The second is that 2A supporters are digging in and articulating their message succinctly (see Nicki’s post) and asking the same question: “What if that principal had had a gun how many of those children would be alive?” The left is having screaming hissy fits trying to avoid answering that one. This, along with the fear that Americans have for the future should kill any legislation from the congresscritters.

Difficult time or not, they are going to try.
They will attempt to peel the onion – separating hunters from target shooters from threepers. Look at the ban proposals floating around… oh you can keep yours… but nobody else gets them… so your grand-kids are screwed. But they HOPE you will stay all peaceful and capitulate.
So what happens if we sit, at home, lovingly petting our “grandfathered” black rifle, all content that we “get to keep ours?”
Prices go up rapidly on the “grandfathered stock,” and, as with machine guns, in a few decades, the AR-15 will be the plaything of rich liberals who can grease the wheels of the system to get their permits and pay the huge fees to own one at all – while the rest of our descendants are left with whatever inoffensive garbage our rulers see fit to “allow” us to own. (Air-soft rifles and Red-Rider specials probably.)

If we stand by peaceably and let this happen, then God-Damn us. We will have shamed the founders, and pissed on the graves of every single soldier that paid for our liberty in blood over the centuries. IF John Kerry, who served in Vietnam and spent Christmas in Cambodia, is appointed to some executive position in the federal government, Brownie may run for the vacated senate seat. I will not be casting a vote for him. It is better that we send another communist to the senate than to allow a Massachusetts Republican (read RINO) to go back to the senate and bolster the RINO (Establishment) cause.

I’m still amazed that allegedly rational people still don’t get the complete idiocy of banning guns. A madman will use anything he can to carry out his evil plans. Don’t forget the biggest death count in a school was from a bastard that used TNT to blow it up. Timothy McVeigh didn’t use a gun, the 19 on 9/11 didn’t use guns. Endless examples of this. But the left is always looking for a fix by government. I agree with others here, weapons bans are non-starters in the cultural state the Republic is in now.

Very easily – he’s one of The Elite. It is his birthright to rule; aand he knows – not thinks, not believes, knows – that it is our duty to follow the whims of The Elite without question.
Realistically, the principal and psychologist probably supported the policies that left them disarmed, right up until that moment – and maybe even after. Given that their profession and their location, it’s a fair bet that they were probably statists through and through. I strongly suspect that prior to that day, they’d have asked: “Why would anyone ever need a gun?” The answer, of course, being that no one needs a gun until they really need a gun.
