A Proposal For Congress

Since you’re so convinced that the only way to avoid further massacres is to disarm the prospective victims ahead of time, we’re willing to compromise and let you at least try out your model for a bit in order to evaluate it.

Therefore, be it resolved that from this day forward, all premises of government, in particular every government facility in the Washington DC area including, but not limited to, the Supreme Court, Congress and the White House, be declared Gun Free Zones™ in order to better protect the individuals therein.

In order to avoid the tragedies and accidents always following, according to Congress, whenever human beings are allowed near means of self defense, let it further be resolved that any and all weapons be banned inside the premises. To follow the example that has worked so well for our schools because, after all, if it’s good enough for Teh Children™, it must be good enough for a bunch of fat, corrupt, lazy, out of shape old men and women, let any and all armed security on and around the premises immediately be let go, including the Secret Service.

Our children don’t merit Secret Service protection, and we’re sure that you don’t consider yourselves more important than them. After all, you can’t stop wailing about Teh Children™ every time you want to justify another rape of the American people For Our Own Good™, so clearly they’re first and foremost on your minds, right?

Make all of government a Gun Free Zone™ with possession of a weapon on the premises no matter who you are a third degree felony and let’s see how well that works out. Surely you’ll be the safest of individuals securely hidden under the umbrella of signage. Then let’s see what happens before we discuss the subject any further.

Thatisall.

I saw an article where the libs are tweeting that gunmen should attack the NRA instead of schools, malls, and such.

Gee, I wonder why gunmen have never tried to shoot up an NRA meeting? :em03:

Oh, please no! Don’t send those bad old people after us, especially during the target and demo sessions. :em06:

Frankly, I think Bloomberg, Feinstein and the others who want these laws, (And have passed them), should be charged with aiding an abetting the murderers. :em03:

If these assholes were truly and deliberately intending to start a civil war, i can’t for the life of me imagine what they’d do differently. A magazine or ban on semi-autos will not be met peacefully.

“Hearken, we beseech thee, O Lord, to our prayers, and deign to bless with the right hand of thy majesty this sword with which this Thy servant desires to be girded, that it may be a defense of churches, widows, orphans and all thy servants against the scourge of the pagans, that it may be the terror and dread of other evildoers, and that it may be just both in attack and defense.”

The above should be engraved on the barrel of the Springfield XD 9 we purchase and require all American school teachers to wear and be proficient with.

In 2010, guns were banned at the NRA convention. That doesn’t mean they’re always banned, but honestly I can’t remember a whole lot of people carrying at NRA meetings. GRPC, on the other hand – last time I went, I was open carrying. It was hot!

I just called on my gun dealer regarding some battle sights and a scope mount I’ve been waiting on since I bought my EBR.

My dealer is rather upset. He said he was just about to put a trace on the package because not only did it have my sights, it also had a gun he was expecting.

While we were talking about his supplier’s need for a new shipping company, he also mentioned that guns are flying off the shelves. Want an EBR? Forget about it. He said he had bought a couple of S&W’s and another brand. The supplier had 90 others in stock. He decided he should order some more product. He called back 30 minutes later.

    Sold out.

So go ahead gun grabbers. Try and pass more bans. Molon Labe is rapidly becoming the new battle cry.

Someone should ask these morons on the left if they are trying to start ACW2. They certainly are going about it just the right way.

Yeah, and , I think Bloomberg, Feinstein and all others salivating at the opportunity to disarm the public should have “Gun-Free Premises” signs posted in front of their homes since they so fervently believe only the police and military should be armed.

Liberals always say they don’t want to take away guns. But give them an awful tragedy like the Newtown, Conn. shooting and they get bolder and more honest. MSNBC host Ed Schultz showed a rare bout of such honesty during a brief Twitter exchange Saturday. Schultz asked “Why should anyone own an assault rifle ?” and followed it up by saying “it’s the confiscation of these types of weapons that counts and will have an impact.”

“The Ed Show” host wasn’t done his attack on gun rights. “The NRA needs to state the case why assault weapons are needed by anyone,” he claimed. And after that, he told one poster that “a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon.” That last bit is surely a surprise to both gun owners and Congress which didn’t include handguns in its previous assault weapons ban.

Ultimately, Schultz talked of changing the Constitution to one person on Twitter. “We are the Constitution and we as a people can change whatever we want. Get ready Dude !” he wrote.

Schultz has a murky history with guns. In early December, he said the NFL should tell players not to have guns: “I don’t think it’s out of the realm that the NFL should be asking players or demanding or making su-, don’t own firearms. Just, don’t, all that is is trouble. All that is is trouble.”

However, he seemed unmoved when his producer James “Holmy” Holm talked about putting a gun to CEOs to force them to spend back in 2011. “The president is going to speak with business leaders that are sitting on $1.9 trillion dollars — $1.9 trillion dollars. Maybe what we should do is put a gun to their head and just say, give us that $1.9 trillion dollars, you don’t need to read anything, just hand it to us!” he told listeners to Schultz’s radio program.

Here is the whole recent exchange on Twitter.

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd @gt500cws who’s facts ? I have a fact for you. We are the Constitution and we as a people can change whatever we want. Get ready Dude !

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd @gt500cws a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon.

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd The NRA needs to state the case why assault weapons are needed by anyone.

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd @gt500cws a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon.

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd Write all the feel good laws you want, it’s the confiscation of these types of weapons that counts and will have an impact.

Ed Schultz ?@WeGotEd Why should anyone own an assault rifle ? We need to be realistic about the 2nd amendment..society has changed, views have changed.

And I will add my own question: “Ed-the-red, are you willing to accept that you will be considered a primary and legitimate military target by many liberty minded patriots if you provoke a civil war over gun-rights?”

It would be nice to have some pol go out and explain that the recent school event is a media fabrication that could not have happeend as they claim:

    1. Murdering people is illegal.
    2. People under 21 cannot legally possess handguns
    3. Schools are gun-free zones

Given the undisputed existence of these laws, it is irresponsible of the media to make wild accusations of a shooting at a school. It cannot possibly have happened. Unless, of course, maybe criminals and insane people don’t follow laws, but that’s just crazy talk.

    CommonSense growls and barks:

What people are hesitant to say, that NEEDS to be said is, the reason people need assault weapons is to protect themselves from an oppressive government. Remember the Revolutionary War? What was the difference between the weapons the British had and the weapons the colonists had? Not much. So we need weapons that are as close to what the military has as possible. They have full-auto. We don’t. So we are already at a HUGE disadvantage.

First thing out of the asswipe liberals’ mouth will be, “So you think you have a chance with your pathetic assault rifle?” Correct response, “Gee, you’re right. Look how much success the Soviet Union (and US) have had keeping Afghanistan under their thumbs.”

I’m afraid that it has reached the point that
the only way Congress will listen is to blatantly lay down the law in
no uncertain terms, and be ready to back it up.

“Good day Senator, I first want to say that I represent no formal
organization, although I have hundreds of thousands of people who will
back up what I am about to say.

In regards to your ban (Guns, magazines, ammo, toilet paper), I have
    one thing to say.

    NO!

You will not push this further. We are tired of having you constantly
taking our God given rights from us AND IT STOPS NOW! (Possible table
    slap here)

I’m not going to threaten to run someone against you in the next
election. If you pass this piece of s***, we’re not going to wait.

You pass it and that *expletive* in the White House signs it, the
    gloves are off.

We will kill you. All of you. There is no place you can hide, there is
no amount of security you can get that will save you. Your bodyguards
    will be slaughtered.

This will be all out war against those who wish to enslave us.

You might be signaling your security people in here to grab me. I’m
NOT the one you need to worry about. It will be the tens, hundreds of
thousands of others out there waiting for you to do something so
blindingly stupid as to pass this bill and have me shipped to the
    nearest lockup.

For once in your miserable lives, stop acting like closet
totalitarians and actually obey the oath you all took when you were
    sworn in.

Look up the phrase “Molon Labe.”

Consider just what people, the very people you have been vilifying for
decades are thinking if one of their representatives comes in here and
makes the statement I just made, knowing what may come next. We do NOT
want to go there, so why does it seem that you do?

    Thank you”

Then turn and either hold out your hands for the cuffs or start
walking out. If the latter, have a lot of big, burly friends who have
been sitting very quietly stand up as the guards start coming to you
    and glare at them.
