Retard “Expert” Statement of the Week

(Reuters) – U.S. school districts have spent millions of dollars on metal detectors, security cameras and elaborate emergency-response plans since the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School, but almost nothing could have prevented Friday’s massacre at a Connecticut elementary school, security experts say.

Pictured: “Almost Nothing”

Just in case said “experts” are unfamiliar with what “almost nothing” looks like, which it would appear that they are.

Morons.

Thatisall.

The only thing that makes sense would be to train and arm the teachers that are willing to take that responsibility on.
Which of course means it won’t happen. I am waiting to hear some pol get the conversation started.
Nice almost nothing you have there.

    Three things confirmed.

    1. The kid was a nutter / borderline sociopath. His PARENTS are responsible for this for not making sure those guns were OUT OF HIS REACH and nowhere accessible to him.

    2. He murdered his mother then took her guns, as he was NOT legally permitted to own one. Homicide with an illegal firearm.

3.Yet another mass shooting in a gun free zone.

    Case closed.

I think the approach should be that each school have a position dedicated that has the exclusive task of emergency response for each school. This would include medical, fire, and instances involving violence against the children. Pay them well, establish high end training, require excellent physical condition…a perfect fit for our retiring SOCOM guys. We can afford 80k per yr teachers, why can’t each school have this type of presence? Certainly the teachers could be incorporated (those that volunteer) and could become the “immediate reaction team”led and trained by the dedicated response element.

My oldest is finishing her studies to be a teacher this year. She’s doing her intern thing in local classrooms. She is having a very difficult time with this heinous event on a emotional level. I can see it in her eyes, she is “shaken.” I told her I will up/refresh her training. She seemed reluctant to arming herself at work and we discussed concealment and weapon security. She was still reluctant, I asked outright why she felt that while she was with our most vulnerable, most valuable asset, charged to a degree with ensuring their safety and security, that she believed it appropriate to voluntarily mitigate her ability to defend herself and others from a deadly force attack? The light bulb seemed to come on.

These incidents are dynamic (basically ambush scenarios) that the ONLY reasonable chance at mitigating a in progress event is with a trained dedicated in house element. Here we have a dedicated “school resource officer” who has two schools and a large campus. This LE Officer also conducts investigations and is frequently “off” campus. My proposed position would not have LE duties and would only interact with the student population when needed. A single function position. Emergency response.

Simple, Troy, neither the parents, teachers or unions would allow an armed, trained and ready response team. Why? Because they’d have to have weapons and the skill to use them, and that’s not allowed in our current “No Gun Zone” target rich environments. Again, a simple case of only the bad guys having weapons, like Aurora, like the Mall in Oregon (and now the mall parking lot in LA), Nebraska, and those innocent kids in school in Connecticut…

    All you need is ONE.

The knowledge that there is just one trained individual on the premises has, to date, kept the animals from attacking that target.

    We can afford that easily.

I would volunteer my time free of charge if need be. Nothing is more precious than the safety of our kids and it would be a great way put my otherwise pretty useless (in civilian society) skills to good use.

But I would much rather that every damn teacher on the grounds had the training and the permit to carry, and I speak as a parent who has kids going to elementary school. The knowledge that my kids’ teachers were armed, trained and qualified would make me feel a lot better, since their time in school is just about the only time that they’re not under the immediate protection of myself and/or the Empress.

But just one trained professional would do the trick.

“Almost nothing” means “nothing they are willing to consider”. Like close supervision of people with mental illnesses. Or armed citizens. That would, like, EMPOWER people and deny the rights of those Speeeeeeeeeecial Snowflakes to live and live out their personal warped realities. . . .

This is exactly the entire answer in just a couple of short sentences.

    And the answer derived.

How many people are aware that the end of Columbine was due to a teacher who ran out to his car and hauled his 1911 out of the trunk of his car? As Brendan said, case closed.

I don’t think that was Columbine, but was in fact a different one. Otherwise, correct in all respects.

cmblake6, irish19, that was at the High School in Pearl, MS. Assistant principal Joel Myrick stopped Luke Woodham AFTER Luke had finished his shooting and was leaving to go shoot some more at the Junior High School.

If Myrick had not had to run a quarter mile in each direction to his car parked off-campus (because it had a gu-un in it), there might have been lives saved. Note that Woodham surrendered immediately when Myrick stuck a .45 in his face.

To date, it seems to be the only “successful” stoppage of a school shooting to date.

Also note, Israel solved this problem in 1974, without the use of Victim Disarmament Zones.

One little detail on the Oregon mall shooting. Oregon law allows a concealed carry licensee to carry anywhere but courthouses :em01: , even there the presiding judge can allow carry, not that they ever do.
It is still within an owners right to prohibit carry on their property, I have been to Clackamas Town Center, and they do not post any such notice.
The lack of any return fire was the local sheep own choice. :em08:

Yes, there was no return fire, but an armed citizen did draw down on the the perp, which apparently was enough to get him to shoot himself. So an armed citizen did in fact stop the situation from becoming much worse. Notice how this little fact has been virtually embargoed by the national media.

When the results of their failed social policies, their lack of solid moral values, their abandonment of God and their numerous hedonistic agendas come home to roost, they always attempt to pin blame on some inanimate object. Don’t believe their garbage, it’s the mind set and conscience of the country that must be changed . . . not the caliber of a gun.

    LC Light29ID growls and barks:

The GFWs in this country WILL NOT under any circumstances admit that deterrence works because that would defeat their one goal. They have screamed since time immoral that is better to disarm than to arm. They did it after every war and they did it throughout the COLD WAR when they fought tooth and nail against any kind of nuclear deterrence.

The reason that they won’t admit deterrence works is that then they would have to admit that the trillions spent on our nuclear stockpile worked, which it did but good luck getting Jane Fonda to admit it. All of what we did and have done with nuclear arms is no different that putting one well trained person (preferably one with children) in the school and letting the world know it but that well trained and armed individual would defeat their goal.

There is no difference between an armed guard in a school and Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). The thought is the same, if you attack me I will retaliate with everything I have to annihilate you. It worked during the COLD WAR and it will work in a school house.

So when the GFWs demand gun control always remember, it’s not about the chiiildren, it’s not about safety….it is about one thing, their one goal, to disarm us to make us weak so they (and our enemies) can enslave us.

    Remember that always.

One other thing, ask a GFW that if deterrence doesn’t work…when was the last time a police station got shot up?
