Cloward-Piven, Have You HEARD Of It, Motherfucker?

Something we desperately want to ask every single “pundit” on the so-called “right” whenever they go into deep, deep, thoughtful analyses about what “leverage” the GOP might have in the “Fiscal Cliff” negotiations.

You, you over-educated morons who have not the slightest experience with, and even less understanding of, how the left operates, need to just sit you privileged arses down and shut the fuck up while people who know what they’re talking about speak because, quite frankly, you’re only making yourselves look foolish every single damn time you open your ignorant yaps.

The Democrat Socialist Party in general, and Hussein BlightBringer Ogabe in particular, have not the least bit of interest in NOT going over that “cliff.”

Cloward-Piven again. Google it, you pampered fuckwads who were lucky enough to grow up in a country where you could delude yourselves with “it could never happen HERE” until it actually, you know, HAPPENED. You’re so pathetically sub-moronic that we’re getting a bit tired of repeating ourselves but, seeing as the “I told you so” drum is the only comfort we’re going to have as this nation descends into what we warned you against for well over a decade while you were busy singing “la-la-la, I can’t HEAR you”, we’re going to do so anyway.

Leftist totalitarianism can only, only succeed if you have enough under-educated twits in the middle of a giant collapse. Look at the Weimar Republic. You’ve heard of it, haven’t you, or were you too fucking busy jacking off to Family Ties? Russia 1917? No, Lenin and his posse wouldn’t have had much traction if Tsarist Russia hadn’t been a pile of Epic Fail thanks to an obsolete feudal system combined with a losing position in a world war. Surely you must have heard about THAT war, no?

And if they HAVEN’T got that, they’ll make one of their own. That’s what Cloward-Piven was all about, and they were even courteous enough to spell it out in large neon letters right in front of your faces for you.

OK, I get it. You’d been spared so far, but now the shit has hit the fan and it’s way beyond time to recognize that the leftist have what they want and they’re stomping down on the accelerator.

Kindly quit fooling yourselves into thinking that the Democrat Fascist Party have the slightest inclination to do the right thing, because that’s exactly what they do NOT want at this point. They’re exactly where they want to be. The system has to crash so they can come in and respond to the desperate cries of “somebody’s gotta do SOMETHING!” Because when people are starving, they don’t give two good shits about what the “solutions” are going to cause, they just want another meal.

The Democrat Socialist Fascists WANT the fiscal cliff to happen, because it will give them every single excuse they need to transform this nation into Venezuela.

But what they want even MORE is for the dickless GOP to cave in to a “compromise” with Weepy Boner at the head of it so they can blame the GOP for everything that will inevitably happen. They’ll then say “well, we WANTED to save the nation, but the GOP’s intransigence, which we had to yield to for the Common Good™, made our brilliant plan crash and burn.”

Oh, they’ll blame the GOP no matter what, make no mistake, but it’s kind of hard to do so if said GOP can say, right up front, that they gave Ogabe everything he wanted.

Any “compromise” in this situation is a loss. Give them what they want. Just vote “present” on it and let the National Socialist Democrat Workers’ Party own every last bit of it.

We’re too far down the road to avoid that cliff now, we can blame that on ourselves for not having fought the commie bastards hard enough (it would be horrible to have a negative column in the New York Slimes, after all, who gives a shit about our children being slaves compared to that?), but let’s at least not leave our fingerprints on the inevitable collapse, m’kay?

And if Weepy Boner and Mitch McCockless refuse to see that, if they still leave their prints on a “Grand Bargain”, then let us announce that we’ll be celebrating just as hard seeing their limp carcasses dangling in the wind after their fair and speedy trials, shit running down their ankles, right next to BlightBringer Hussein Ogabe.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Thatisall.

Der Fubar has reportedly included a request that Congress give up its authority to raise the debt ceiling so he can spend whatever the Niflheim he wants. Passing that, as some commentator suggested, might amount to making themselves irrelevant–something even the spineless & gutless may draw back from. Not sure we want them to approve that.

I suspect they haven’t heard of the Coward-Snivelin’ plan. I learned of it from G. Beck a few years ago, but there doesn’t seem to be much widespread discussion. The fools who actually believe it would bring about their desired results don’t appear to have thought it through very well.

Might I add just one more thing?

President Obama is reportedly scheduled to be vacationing in Hawaii on January 2, the date billions in spending cuts – and untold consequences for the economy – will kick in if a deal is not reached on the “fiscal cliff.”

According to the Hawaii Reporter, residents who live in the area of Oahu where Obama and his family vacation have been told that the usual restrictions on their movements during an Obama stay will be in place for 21 days, from December 17 through January 6.

Obama will be vacationing like Nero with his fiddle when this all goes to FAIL. Republicans would do well to let it be known that the fiscal cliff doesn’t happen on January 1st as the democrats say- it happens on December 17th as Obama goes wheels up for Hawaii. And no, we will not accept the auto-pen as a signature.

If Moochelle wants her Hawaiian reparations, she’ll need to pay for them herself or wait for the president to fly with her. She is not a government employee- she shouldn’t ride for free – alone anyway.

While I have this microphone, I’d also like to point out a pattern. Remember Thompson Prison? The DoJ bought it from Illinois at a discount in October. There was a big revolt when somehow it leaked that the GitMo detainees would be sent there for their Caribbean luxury units. So why would the feds buy a brand spanking new prison? They intend to leak again that the GitMo vacationers are coming to Illinois, reviving the same revolt.

Obama doesn’t want to send them to Illinois, tho. That’s not the plan. The plan is to cave to the revolt and spread these messengers of Allah throughout prison system in the United States. Our prison system has been infiltrated by these barbarians for decades and now Obama want to send the prisoners some true believers. The Daily Inter Lake spelled that out nicely after publishing a column written by Valerie Jarret’s father, Vernon:

The column itself had appeared in the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Evening Independent of Nov. 6, but it was the work of a veteran newspaperman who at the time was working for the prestigious Chicago Tribune and whose work was syndicated nationally. (1)

So far as I know, this 1979 column has not previously been brought to light, but it certainly should be because it broke some very interesting news about the “rumored billions of dollars the oil-rich Arab nations are supposed to unload on American black leaders and minority institutions.” The columnist quoted a black San Francisco lawyer who said, “It’s not just a rumor. Aid will come from some of the Arab states.”

Now let me drag you across the dance floor to this Susan Rice business. Susan Rice was not even on the radar for SoS until some republican Senator mentioned that were she to be nominated, she would have a fight on their hands because of the Benghazi debacle. That’s all well and good, except she was never going to be nominated. It was always going to be that treasonous scum Kerry. Now, because some senator ran his mouth, objecting to Kerry will be much more difficult. “How can you object to one from your own deliberative body?” Jerks.

It’s the old bait and switch writ large. And this guy is a Master baiter.

Finally, somebody told it like it is! Thanks, Sire! I do not believe for one microsecond the democrats will compromise in the slightest. Why should they? Defense cuts they want, social spending cuts they will blame on us. It’s a win-win for them. Now I’m at the point I just prepare for economic/social mayhem, hunker down and ride it out. In this regard I am very fortunate for a veriety of reasons. I’ve done a lot, all I feasably can. Where I live. Etc. And it is coming. Now won’t it be a joy watching the ghetto rats and other ignorant dupes being told to give up their guns and rights in the interest of public safety? And no cops. But by God, as long as they get their freebies…..sold their souls, all of them, for a fucking phone! May the libs receive the full benefits of what they have given us, personally…….. very personally, especially the wealthy hypocrites. I believe very well many of these communists know full well what it will be like, and as with most lefties, play the naysayers. On the money, as always, Emperor. The Democrats have stacked the deck very effectively, there isn’t a way out of this that doesn’t make the problem worse. But it doesn’t matter. The Republican Party has been bought and paid for by the Left. I’ve always suspected that the Left dredges up skeletons out of Republican Leadership closets, dangles it in front of them, and tells them to play ball. The few who don’t have many skeletons are destroyed in more conventional fashion. Thus, the Republicans will offer token resistance, propose a worthless compromise, and the Democrats continue the “Progressive” movement of the country with minimal resistance.

One thing that is interesting, but I know they MUST have thought about, is the massive number of military personnel coming back and not being able to find employment. Ergo, many (I do not know the numbers) become part of that welfare/entitlement sector. A lot of the military is disenfranchised as a voting block.

MILITARY ABSENTEE VOTING REQUESTS DOWN AS MUCH AS 70% FROM 2008 IN SWING STATES

I know when I was in Iraq in 2004, we got our absentee ballots one week before the election. In the 2008 election, I was told I had already voted. Then the frustration/anger kicked in as it took me over an hour to get it straightened out and was finally allowed to vote. What happened to my ‘initial, fraudulent’ vote? I have no idea how it was rectified.

It is interesting that you bring up the Cloward-Piven strategy. In case you haven’t been paying attention, this has been the exact strategy that Republicans have used for the past thirty-five years in order to get us to the point we are at right now.

Overburden government programs in order to cause them to fail. It has been a major part of that strategy to shrink the government down to the size where you can drown it in the bathtub. But first, you have to make a popular working program fail.

So how do you do that? Well, if you are George Bush, you put the most inept people in charge of departments and programs. If you are a Republican congresscritter, you create legislation that costs a lot of money but then you don’t fund it. You empty out the treasury by getting involved in two simultaneous wars while at the same time you give $1 trillion in tax cuts to the rich.

You should read up on Jude Wanniski’s “Two Santa Claus Theory” You will see exactly what has happened in the past thirty-five years and exactly what is happening right now.

This “Fiscal Cliff” is nothing more than an imaginary milestone created by Republicans. Same with the imaginary “debt ceiling”. It is a fake “crisis” that can be stopped in less than an hour by both houses of Congress. Simply remove the law.

Like it or not, taxes ARE going to go up for the top 2 percent in this country. They don’t have to go up at all for the bottom 98 percent — there is already a bill that has been passed by the Senate and being sat on in the House that will make the tax cuts for all income UNDER $250k permanent. Pass that, and we all go about our bidness.

Pelosi is going to try and force a vote on that bill this week though a “discharge petition” by Christmas Eve.

One little problem with that DeeJay. Not only does the president get his tax revenue, but the republicans will get blamed for the next recession. And when wealthy people find out hiring people doesn’t pay- they won’t hire people. It’s kinda like when poor people find out they don’t have to work to eat, they don’t work.

The problem lies with spending. Wasting money specifically. I don’t see much on that front with the exception of downsizing the military while the barbarians are uprising.

When Obama claims ownership of next year’s recession, I’ll support raising taxes on the “wealthy” and believe he’ll lower taxes on the 98% later. Until then… eh… not so much.

DJ… how much taxation is enough? How much socialization of the country is the right amount? Forget all tax rates, fees, tariffs and such, and answer this:

How much should we be taxed, in total? 50%? More?

How much should the government guarantee? Should it provide and/or guarantee healthcare, food, transportation, housing, utility service, retirement, minimum income? What else? If so, what’s left for the private sector? I will also argue that a dollar spent by government, on you, is less valuable than a dollar spent by you on yourself.

Look, I’m not rich, so supposedly I wouldn’t be affected by the tax increases on the rich, although I do not take Obama at his word on this thing, but as a matter of principle, I still find this fucked up. Granted, some rich people are greedy assholes, and there is a temptation to say hey, they can afford it, so let’s take some more money from them. But, are the poor any better? I know a lot of a POOR greedy assholes, too. And they can, in aggregate, waste just as much or more money as the rich, and be as lazy and irresponsible as any greedy heiress like Ms. Hilton.

So why punish the rich and reward the poor for, essentially, identical behavior? Why not just leave people alone?

Besides, DJ… at this point, the government is so large, its tentacles so widespread, that it’s damn near impossible to even UNDERSTAND what it is doing. Have you read the bills Congress passes? Every page of thousand page documents that shuffle around every day? The Constitution is small enough that one man can, with a modest expenditure of effort, understand every word. Today’s laws are so insane that you could have a million pages of crap, and never understand a word of it.

So it’s impossible to tell what the Democrats really propose, what they will really do, and let’s face it — taking politicians (of either side) at their word is idiocy of the highest order, so don’t even BEGIN to discuss their speeches and what they expel from their gasholes at a microphone as a defense.

That’s why Small Government is important to a Free Society. Government must remain small enough that we can actually have reasonable debates on policy and legal matters. Today, it’s too large, too insane, for any one man to ever wrap his head around. I’m tired of the insane bureaucracy, Deej… and, Left or Right, I bet many other folks are too. The only thing we can know for sure is that the politicians want power, and chances are, anything they are doing is aimed to achieve more of it.

And the question is, let’s make sure that we don’t have a self-inflicted wound, because there are a lot of silly games played up on Capitol Hill,” Obama told Goldman.

The interview focused mainly on the economy. Obama pushed for tax hikes.

“So what I’m going to need, what the country needs, what the business community needs, in order to get to where we need to be, is an acknowledgment that folks like me can afford to pay a little bit higher rate. If we combine that with a tax reform process and entitlement reform, then we can get to a $4 trillion deficit reduction package that actually helps our economy grow, rather than weakens our economy, either in the short term or in the long term,” said Obama.

Indeed. Well put. And that is the question that not one- not a single Republican on the hill ever asks. Not One.

50%? We’re there – add your total tax liability – add in State / Local – Federal excise tax on gas – utilities – fees for services….and you very quickly reach if not 50% damn close to it.

My total outlays in just federal and state income taxes for 2012 will consume close to 40% of my income last year. And no…I didn’t even come close to that magical “rich” threshold of 200,000.00 That does not include the taxes I paid of .35 cents a gallon for diesel – 18 cents a gallon for Gasoline -Local fuel taxes – Federal taxes on a land line and two cell phones – federal & state taxes on electricity – state sales taxes, local sales taxes – the list is endless.

All the “tax the rich” babble is just that – babble to impress the gullible and the envious. Meanwhile glued to the TV and the 15 second soundbites the average “Working Joe” is getting fleeced.

Case in point: Had to renew my Passport. I pay Taxes – supposedly those taxes go to fund the Dept of State and various other agencies at the Federal level.

So imagine my surprise when I get hit with a 170.00 dollar renewal “fee” … that in full disclosure included an “expedited” processing fee since I needed it to be down in a shorter amount of time than the normal rusty wheels of State Allow for. Without the additional fee – it would STILL have cost a cool 110.00 to renew my passport. FYI – That is DOUBLE the amount I paid in 2003 for the original document.

Still the core principle of my disgust with the Federal Government remains – I pay taxes – why am I being hit again with “fees” for something that the Government requires of me to be allowed to travel out of the country- or for that matter be allowed back in should I leave?

Total tax revenues for 2012 between Federal State and Local – 5.5 Trillion dollars. Yet every government agency across the land from po-dunk dog patch to the White House and beyond is citing “budget issues” AKA as “We’re fucking broke”. The Feds took in 2.2 TRILLION in 2012 – and cannot balance the books.

So again back to the original question – how much tax is enough. If Obama get’s his way that 2.2 Trillion becomes 3.8 Trillion dollars in taxes going to the Federal government….and they will still be broke.

As I see it – here is one of the problems – thinking like this at a so called “conservative blog – red state”

Taxes need to go up because it’s the “moral thing to do”.

How much tax is enough?Sadly as much as I hate to be an Eyore— At this stage – whatever they tell us to pay – too many sheeple and not enough sheep dogs left to fight it..Welcome to serfdom.

Several years ago I watched a documentary about capital punishment. In it, several condemned men whose executions were imminent were interviewed and some of them complained about the degradation of being forced to undergo an enema and the insertion of a plug so they wouldn’t mess up the nice clean room they were about to die in.

BTW, I’m glad the links are back up in the “conservative blog advertising” section, but why are so many of them links to Red State? I really hate adding to that asshole’s click count.

Steerage women had a better survival percentage than First Class men. The elites would do well to remember that – elevated position does not guarantee survival.

That’s because the men in first class were actually men, not overgrown children.

I am actually to the point that I hope the Mayans were right about the world ending this month. I am however, pessimistic enough to try to prepare for it’s continuation.

There’s something to that. It used to be that privilege came with an expectation of honor and duty. Of course, not all of the elite in those days adhered to it, but many did. I don’t see Paris Hilton taking on the role of Molly Brown, or George Soros going down with the ship after asking for a brandy.

What happens when you realize you are still spending far more than you are taking in (as that IS the current problem) do you now demagogue the top 10%? The top 20%? Who gets demagogued and taxed until you have enough money to sustain your redistributionist agenda?
We do not have revenue problem, we have a spending problem. The problem is the spenders are running out of our money to spend and now need to find other sources. 401k? Sure, why not…only rich people invest. Top 10%, sure why not….they are kinda rich now so why wait.
I agree that ALL Republicans pull an Obama and vote Present. 2 things, 1. this drain circling was gonna happen anyway so best let it happen where we have the best position to fix whatever is left and 2. this is the only way the GOP does not get COMPLETELY blamed for it. I know DJ is trying like hell to pin this on the GOP but after December 17th that will be moot

So we do the Thatcher standard reference. “Socialism is fine until you run out of other people’s money.” Are you familiar at all with the living standard in the USSR? Misha knows. Natasha knows. I don’t know how many other of the Empire are familiar with it. I’m familiar with it because of studies I had in the military so that we would be familiar with the psychology of “the enemy”. The basis for the propaganda that was fed them so that they would be against our way of life. Jealousy was the basis, although not phrased that way as such. It was all about the “Look how much stuff they have! If we overcome them, we can have all their stuff! Or at least everybody can have equal amounts of stuff if properly distributed by your loving government”.

I say again, help those who can’t help themselves, fuck those who won’t help themselves. If you cannot perform any function at all, due to physical or mental disability, fine we help you. If you are physically able to do anything, then you will do something or you will starve. You heard of the 25 year old welfare maggot making over $100K a year? Didn’t work, just bred. I was working for a company that provided transportation for medicare/aid patients primarily. Most of those patients lived in a helluva lot nicer houses than mine. Didn’t work, just drew welfare, or disability, or SS, lived in housing I couldn’t dream of affording. Unless I went on one of those programs and got those bennies.

In part, yes, but not entirely. On Murdoch’s side of the boat deck, he allowed men to enter the lifeboats if there were empty seats. On Lightoller’s side, men were not allowed to enter at all. It mostly had to do with how they interpreted Smith’s order – Murdoch took it to mean “women and children were to be loaded first, but if no more were trying to get in to a particular boat, then men could go”; Lightoller took it to mean “no men until all women and children were off”. Men on Murdoch’s side had a chance to live, while those on Lightoller’s side did not unless they jumped and swam for it.

I commend you on your preps Bruce, and self sufficiency is a good starting point. But I need to ask – are you part of a like-minded community that is going to help hold into all of that when the shit hits the fan? Survivalism is a team sport. Unless you got a good close group, who can collectively work to shove back when uncle sugar or the zombies come calling – and they WILL - you’ll end up like Weaver. If you’re lucky.

“Living” in the breadbasket didn’t stop the commies from starving the Ukrainians. One family can’t effectively resist being looted – you have to sleep, you have to work, it’s trivial to hit you when you are forced to go harvest that victory garden of yours, of when you’re digging out the outhouse.

While lone wolves are eventually doomed… one well prepared family can form the foundation of a resistance cell. Your foresight gives you credibility, and your resources will buy you prominence and power at a local scale. As things start to get really ugly, you can leverage these assets into something that CAN be used to punch back twice as hard – to borrow the language of some thuggish Shitcago city-rats.

Sounds like you have your basics covered – bullets, beans and bullion. Now it’s time for phase 2: Get a group. Get training. The government is going to go down in this country – and it will claw every scrap of wealth we serfs own with clawed fingers unless we have the numbers and means to effectively resist it.

Your prepping sounds great, but you don’t need to whip it out like you’re swinging your cock around or something. Most people here have a substantial armory and, I wager, are much better prepared for shit hitting the air circulation device than your average citizen. It’s a given, at the Rott. Have to disagree with bruce on a certain point.

My father and his parents immigrated to this country from Germany in 1938 with a steamer trunk and two small crates. Several years later, they bought a ranch in these parts that was so run down that there was a broken pane in my father’s bedroom window. He woke up with an inch of snow on his bedroll his first night there.

They grew, cooked, canned, smoked and dried nearly everything they ate. (I still have Oma’s recipe books.) Virtually nothing went to waste. “Poor” didn’t figure into their thinking. They’d lived through hyperinflation in Germany. As Americans, we have a hard time understanding poverty at that level. Poor meant certain death by starvation.

They were well-fed and had the ability to keep feeding themselves. They worked hard, saved compulsively and invested wisely.

When Papa turned 70, he and Oma went back to Germany, bought a Mercedes, toured the country and had it shipped back. It’s a 1969, it’s in the garage and it still runs.

We think we know what hard times might look like. Papa fought in WW1 (on the German side) and endured gas attacks at Verdun. He bore the scars from a French grenade on his left shoulder, from a time when there were no antibiotics. He survived the Great Depression and avoided the destruction Hitler brought on his native land. He rested content in knowing that his only child, my father, was never drafted and fed into a meat grinder. He died a wealthy man, in every respect.

He didn’t get there by “thinking poor.” He got there by thinking.

Good point, Excellent in fact – I honestly never considered that part of it, but you’re 100% correct if I had to shell out that sort of money when I first started doing what I do now – I’d have been hard pressed to do so, something would have had to give – groceries-, maybe hold a utility bill back, something wouldn’t have gotten paid on time.
