You can look at it in two ways.
1) The leftist socialist fascists couldn’t care less about what the sheeple think or
2) You’re a wolf yourself and you don’t give neither jack nor shit what the sheeple surrender monkeys in the RINO party think.
We lean towards number 2.
We know what we believe, and we’re not going to be swayed in the least little bit by what the “cool kids” say, because we know that we’re right. If we didn’t know that, we wouldn’t believe what we do. We’d be busy trying to figure out where we went wrong so we could find a better solution that better fits the facts. Because facts are facts. You cannot deny them indefinitely. They WILL come back to rip your arse off if you try.
We’re a pack, not a herd, and few things encompass that ideal better, in our mind at least, than the wolf.
Still, we must learn the nature of the battlefield so we can move on to the next one, and we feel ideas coalescing in our mind already. Ideas with which we shall bore you silly shortly, as soon as we get it all boiled down to something useful. We’re almost there. and we think that it will work. We also know that any chinks in the armour of those ideas will be pointed out mercilessly by all of you and that, more than most things, is why we love you guys and firmly believe that we made the right choice when we, back when we opened the site, made ourselves the promise that anybody can say what they damn well please around here.
It’s something that we DIDN’T grow up with, opening your yap could and would have consequences, which makes us cherish this country even more.

Actually, I’ve always thought of myself as a sheepdog. That’s why I’m a volunteer firefighter and a public safety diver.
I enlisted in the Air Force to protect my countrymen from the wolves outside our borders.
I carry my pistol not only for my own protection, but also to enable me to protect the sheep around me. Most people have no situational awareness so I keep my head up and my eyes and ears open.
Unfortunately, the wolves I keep an eye on are just minor annoyances in the larger scheme of things and will always be around even in a just and prosperous society. The wolves that are enslaving us wear suits and sit on city councils, county boards, and legislative chambers. They are the ones it takes real courage and perseverance to overcome.

Just yesterday my buddy of forty-seven years and I spent well over an hour burning up cell phone batteries. Gary is a mechanical engineer with over thirty-five years experience and he tells it like it is. At one point I said we are now outnumbered, meaning we have more targets, both figuratively and literallly. He said the republic was lost, now how do we get it back? Or will she simply be razed when it all comes crashing down and we have to rebuild? We both noted the difference between the ants and grasshoppers. The grasshoppers will have nothing, and want to take from the ants, saying we owe it to them. Just yesterday he bought yet another rifle…..We are ants, you ever get attacked by red ants? Once in my case. Only once. And I’ll tell you this, I have flat run out of sympathy or compassion for these people. You want to learn the hard way, fine. May you survive it. And learn. I watch people pissing money away buying junk, I’m stocking up. So who will be better off? I hate and loathe the benevolent despots more than any other, the most soul numbing spiritual cowardice it has been my misfortune to witness…so we continue. often silent but always aware, taking note and remembering…….. for the left carries within itself the seeds of its own destruction. Now to water them……….

Indeed, Caveman, his innate wisdom is the very reason Lewis is vilified by the left. He was one of the great Christian apologists who strikes fear into their hardened hearts.
One group of people I left out in listing the wolves enslaving us, and who are in fact the people most fitting Lewis’ description of tyranny, are the bureaucrats who enforce the edicts of the legislatures. They are the most self righteous of all and without them tyranny cannot exist. I hate them more than the councilmen, supervisors, and legislators that make the laws. There is nothing more dangerous, vicious, and power mad than a public servant.
We’ve reached the point of no return. The country I swore allegiance to no longer exists. The Republic is exiled to the hearts and minds of patriots. The evil that has replaced it has to burn. Suffering the consequences of their actions is the only thing that will make its supporters and enablers turn from it.
Our children voted themselves and their children into slavery and poverty. It’s going to be messy, destructive, and bloody but history shows that there is no way to avoid it.

We’ve already passed the tipping point into quasi euro socialism. As you see in Europe, their public sector spending is choking growth in the private sector resulting in an endless sea of deficits and borrowing. Spain, Portugal, Greece have massive unemployment and unrest, while wealth is fleeing France and Britain because of socialist tax structures.
Closer to home you can see the results of liberal left policies in California and Illinois, and San Bernardino, CA just told its citizens that they essentially have to protect themselves because the city is broke.

Times like this puts lie to the notion that “progressives” are looking out for the little guy. It shows that American politics is now, ultimately, little more than a culture/lifestyle conflict. It’s what the election last month was all about, and it’s the core of every attack on conservatives by the likes of Gawker, etc.: It’s one group of self-styled elite whites scorning the lives of less refined whites.
American progressives have no interest in the proletariat. Rather, what they do is treat them like circus animals, rounding them up in shows like “Jersey Shore,” “Honey Boo Boo” and “Buckwild” to point and laugh; mock them as bitterly clinging to guns and God; demonize their Tea Parties and Sarah Palins and their striving for ideals.But keep in mind this election cycle most people voted for Obamaville, which is described as having babies out of wedlock, kids on EBT ,and drugs, and other indolent behavior. So, welcome to Obamaville. Maybe we can still get our freedom and respectability back next time. Vote Republican.

One thought I do keep in mind is that in sheer total numbers, the left is widely outnumbered. But as usual, conservatives spend too much time fighting among themselves, losing sight of the ball. We have those refusing to vote, or others of a conservative bent but apathetic.
I do suspect as times darken here at home, many will discover they have to do for themselves. You may lose your home, but you can rent one. Vegetable gardens. I am evidently way ahead of the curve, as are folks here, the writing is on the wall.
I fear losing our town doctor, a fine man. He discovered through his office manager I had been fighting bronchitis for two weeks, taking my own stored medications. He had a tantrum. I relented and saw him. Figured it was healhier. Also my skin doctor, giving me a clean bill of health on my basal cell carcinomas. I’m going to get labbed next month, done once e a year, next year who knows? I was told last time I had the counts of a man thirty, rather than sixty. Excellent numbers all the way around. But I fear for the future, now owning different sorts of medical supplies, first aid kits, antibiotics, my wife’s very powerful pain medications to suture kits. I didn’t tell him, he doesn’t like it. So I research dosages. But I have told him when my time comes there will be little to no help available. Some antibiotics could save your life. Learning the benefits of everything from raw honey to colloidal silver.
I was told to take vitamin D, one to reduce emotional swings, which I still have, also due to the fact I always wear a ball cap outdoors to keep the sun of my face. And next Wednesday my wife will have been dead one year.
I suppose the bottom line is to look after yourself and like minded souls, in all facets of your life open to you…….. I will help any ant if it hits the fan, regardless of their position………if I am aware of it. We can help each other, contributing what we can given our respective resources and capabilities. You can stand watch. I will tell the grasshoppers to look to the government soon to abandon them.
But the day is coming many will receive a very rude jolt……and they will discover they are owned and maniplulated by the government and the left elite. The same people viewing the giddy elves and blank faced idiots as ignorant dupes, catering to the lowest denominator of human nature, which apparently works quite well.
Given recent political developments I expect increased taxes and spending, the slow collapse of our economy to accelerate…….along with most of the rest of the world, Europe being the largest economic block on earth, they too, have severe difficulties.
I have made a vocation of such preparations, being ten miles from the epicenter of the eighty-nine quake here taught me that……

Not terminally stupid, but willfully, intentionally in denial. To our once great, now bankrupt, nation’s detriment, as well. The loss of even of modicum of genuine questioning and probing of the administration by the press is one of the great stories of our time, and is a significant factor in the loss of our freedoms. We will never fully know what happened with Fast and Furious, Solyndra and the other crony payoff green energy firms, the murders in Benghazi, how they blackmailed Petraeus, etc. because the media will not investigate this administration at all. He is, after all, their “lord and savior”, remember? All they really care about is being able to keep unlimited access to abortion.

That’s sort of it, but not nearly dark enough. The hard Left’s goal is Charles Manson’s Helter Skelter. A small White elite ruling a vast non-white servant class. They’ve imported and created groups that want things. Things are easy for a government to supply. That pesky middle class – which is primarly composed of insufficiently enlightened cracka-ass crackas – they want rights. Rights limit government power, and the elties just can’t have that. Therefore, the middle class must be either improvrished or eliminated.

It’s too late for a peaceful recovery. The plebes have found out they can vote themselves bread and circuses from the public treasury, it’s all downhill from here.
Sure I will probably loose. And even if I win, what rises might be just as bad as what I fought to tear down. That prospect and the long odds didn’t stop the founders. But I’ll give up my wealth, my limbs, and my life if needed. I owe that to the children and grandchildren I am responsible for. If prices are to be paid, let my generation, responsible for so many of what’s broken in this nation, pay the toll of blood instead of my loved ones and theirs.

My wife and I got back into gardening and canning a few years back. Some of the stuff that grows well in our back yard has been okra, tomatoes, kale, just about any type of peppers, catnip (here kitty, kitty!!), radishes, etc.
We own our own generator (it is gasoline tho, but it was a quick purchase before Ike and it worked like a champ.)
Guns and ammo….you can never have enough ammo, and/or reloading equipment.
Plus some other ‘interesting gear’…

I guess what I’m trying to say is… if we’re going to compare Conservatism to wolves… well us conservatives ought to defend our own better. We have to fight the smear tactics, not ignore them. We need to DEFEND these folks, without necessarily defending the mistakes. Otherwise the Left will keep destroying real conservatives, leaving the Romneys of the world as our only viable options.
Conservatism, to me, has always been about trying to live up to the ideals of our country, our beliefs in freedom for all and our faith in God. We never will live up to those lofty goals, no one short of Christ could. But we’ll be a lot better off for trying to live that way than the other side, wallowing in the mud, eating at the trough of Big Government.
In other words, Misha… they are pigs, not sheep. And that’s much worse.
